Kishimoto no.kudhsnu is Genseiryu's stile

Kishimoto was sensei of Seieken Shukumine (the founder of Genseiryu), It was Kishimoto, who created this version of Kushanku and original style was closer to shito-ryu. Seiken Shukumite teached this kata in his own style. So it is definitely OK to see this kata in shito-ryu, but also in Genseriryu style even at TOP WKF competeition level (for instance Sandra Sanches performed Kishimoto no Kushanku in Dubai 2020 premier leauge finals).

@@kieranhejmarov9792 Kishimoto-Di is nothing like Shito Ryu. The kata is attributed to Bushi Tachimura, as it really is Tachimura no Kusanku. This kata originally was passed down via Higa Seitoku & the Bugeikan.

Looks made up. Taking movement from other kata such as ryuei ryu and Chatanyara. Another fancy dance.

Eery version of Kushanku is made up from the former Kushanku (which we even do not know, the proper orginal version). There was probably good reason why Kishimoto no Kushanku, Chibana no Kushanku, Sansai, Ohan Dai (and some others) were included again in official WKF list. Japanase masters would not allow any version without proper history

It's from Kishimoto-Di via Higa Seitoku originally. It predates Chatanyara no Kusanku as that kata appeared out of nowhere with no verifiable lineage.

​@johnfogarty7405 From my understanding, the version of Chatanyara that we see in WKF competition was designed for competition and was originally the Tomari version of Kusanku with the exception that many of the movements were performed to the front so the judges could see 🤷🏽‍♂️
