Kristine Zhenie Lobrigas Tandingan-Monterde, mononymously known as KZ, is a Filipino singer and rapper hailed as Asia's Soul Supreme. She rose to prominence following her win on the first season of The X Factor Philippines in 2012. That same year, she won Aliw Award for Best New Artist.

Steph, The China competition Singer is a 14 week (EPISODE) event. Each episode the 500 member audience votes. The previous year 2017 was when Dimash was invited as an unknown wildcard & 1st foreigner to be invited but they still had the rule that no foreign born competitor could get 1st so the best Dimash could do was 2nd which is what he got. This was the next year 2018 and they changed the rule so that anybody could win. Jessie J competed and KZ outscored Jessie for this episode but in the end Jessie was the winner of the competition. By the way, it is a competition for mainly professional musicians. 🎶👱♀️👗👠👠💓

Sylvester Stallone had to correct her by adding a key word that changed it from sexual to correct. Your description needs that same key word added to change it from sexual to correct. She is my WINNER forever and in all her performances anywhere, all the time. Watched the contest, it was simply because nobody wins against China except for the world renown JJay. But she herself was impressed of KZ, watch her reactions all throughout the performances.

Your reaction is priceless. I've watched so many reactions on KZ's performance/rendition of rolling in the deep. Your sweet pretty face undermines how you notice it was not autotune. KZ is Filipino. ... Many Filipinos mothers can shoot you down with rap. My mom does that every morning. She's lift an automated rifle; she can shoot you from the ground floor to the second floor. Your natural reaction is very much appreciated. It doesn't matter how you look or if you mispronounced a word ... your reaction is great!
Try seeing her rendition of "Royals" by lorde in the same competition. And be amazed further.

She auditioned there and thats her first ever performance who earned first spot/place ..but sadly she didnt won the competition..but we Filipinos loves her especially her styles in singing, she will give you a different flavor of a song that she created all the time.

She won...that one day. She was eliminated 3 weeks later.
The went through many styles of music starting with what we called Techno back in the 80s. The sound was her voice run through a synthesizer/autotune with the sensitivity set very high to switch notes with every warble of vibrato.
Great reaction ,this was out of this world great performance and arrangement. Most miss at the end of this song where she kneels down at the last verse and then gets up , she had one of her earrings fall off and she caught it in mid air and never missed a beat, you can see it in her hand after got up.

KZ had a severe throat trauma as a young Teenage (not sure of age)But the doctors even
had doubts that she would even sing again. After several operations and therpahy.
Here is what is Today...she probably will never be able to Belt with super high notes,

Hi there, the first part of the kz version of rolling in the deep was auto tuned, only for the intro. but when she started to sing the ad lib "na na na na" and the first lyric of the song which is " there say fire......" the auto tune effect was removed and the rest was her natural voice. i hope you react with some of her performances in singer 2018, like SAY SOMETHING, AND SOME CHINESE SONGS. hope you like it.

The effect was reverb, and she has shown a skill to use it. Dimash is using echo in the "Stranger".
BTW, don't listen to anyone. Start with her debut on the X factor, she actually won. "Over the rainbow", the way you couldn't imagine, and one more performance for the request of the judge (Charice Prempegno - she did some recordings on her own!)
Look up the difference between "Reverb" and "Voice changers" before you start telling people it was reverb. Almost all recordings have reverb to make the song sound better but KZ said in an interview that she used a version of autotune to add effects to her voice.
