@nerdecrafter When are we gonna see some crafting content, Jackie? This is slowly becoming a clickbaity kids channel and I must admit, it's quite a fall from grace from your former crafting content which is a shame as that's why I subscribed in the first place. As someone who's struggled with skin picking my whole life, I love the idea of these. I wish, though, instead of filling a plastic display, they'd provided an empty mystery plush to fill with the fuzz and zip up its back. Then you'd get a whole second toy out of this instead of a wonky display to lean against something and stare at. Plus - it'd be an added element of mystery and collectibility! And more incentive for any littles playing with this to not leave a fluff mess in their wake!

I didn’t know this. I’ve been using one when my cat blows his undercoat when seasons change.
I also brush him every other day with a slicker brush, but it just doesn’t seem to get out the shedding undercoat very well.
But I’ll look in to this more and might relegate the “Furminator” brush to cleaning the cat tree.
(Btw, if you have a carpeted cat tree, those brushes are really good at getting the fur and dirt/dust off of them. Even the stuff that a vacuum can’t get.)

@@testerwulf3357 My cat is short-haired, but he also has a fairly dense undercoat.
I’ve honestly never seen anything like it until him. Makes me wonder if one of his parents was long-haired and he got their undercoat, but the other parent’s short hair?
My husband is allergic to him and is fine as long as the cat doesn’t get in his face, but in spring when he’s blowing his coat, the fur gets everywhere and makes my poor husband miserable. So I have to do something to control the hair tornadoes, lol.
I don’t even know why he builds up a winter coat. He’s a strictly indoor cat and the house stays 72°F year round.
And even if he was outside, we live in an area that doesn’t really get winter weather.
Temps in the 80°s (26°-32°C) for extended periods in “winter” are common here, and it rarely gets below freezing.
You’d think he’d keep a constant summer coat, but somehow it does change with the seasons.

(Disclaimer: I have no reason to believe Jackie is misusing her brushes/combs, I just wanted to post a general warning for everyone for the specific grooming tool she showed)
Heads up from a pet groomer: that brush/comb should only be used in small sessions to get rid of seasonal shedding that you could theoretically pull out by hand. Those kind of combs have small razors that grab the undercoat, which is why it works so well on the toy. If you’re using it regularly on your cat (or dog), especially if it’s a short hair, there’s a significant risk for brush burn since you’re basically scraping their coat & skin with a dull razor.

When I first heard about them, I thought they'd be great for my Trichotillomania (hair pulling )because it's literally just that. I really enjoy doing it, but it's not as convenient as I was hoping. So it's not something I can take with me wherever, or like do it while holding my guinea pigs. The outer fluff also gets everywhere, so be mindful of that! It was also a bit too addicting when I started doing it and I couldn't stop until it got way later in the evening than anticipated 😅. Personally I think this is weird (then I’m not necessarily a fidgeter) but I can definitely see how this could be interesting for people with certain obsessions they could transfer to this but I did enjoy seeing the before/after colors as well as Pat participating with you

When you were two-handedly picking at the fluffies on the rainbow it reminded me of a cat making biscuits. (or maybe it's because my cat's also happily making biscuits on the blanket in my lap while I watch this vid lol)

I feel like it would be cool if they made a version with a feltable fiber like wool so that people could make a second stuffie outside of the bag idk. I’m also concerned that there should maybe be a warning to wear a face mask if people are plucking a lot of them since I’d be worried about people inhaling fibers if they pluck a lot of them and getting cotton lung or something.
I haven’t felted stuff much but it would be cool if mixing together wool fiber and water in the shaped bag, shaking it, and letting it dry would make a solid stuffie. Or they could let older people use a felting needle with it idk.

This brought back childhood memories of plucking pigeons with my grandmother. We were gifted some by my uncle who had been out hunting. My Nana’s comments about the plucking process and whether it was worth it for the meal provided don’t bear repeating, the air in our kitchen was blue and full of tiny feathers 😂.

Ngl I really want to buy this, I feel it would be just so fun to have as a fidget, and ngl I think the smaller nitpicking would be fun for me too, it’s gonna be like a where’s Waldo type thing for me and find the threads that aren’t supposed to be there, I’ll keep this product in mind thanks for reviewing this!

I wasn't sure about these when I saw them in stores... But now I'm thinking that they'd be great as an extended plucking fidget and for those of us who needle felt, the fluff could be used to make a proper toy!

this plush is right up my ally. without getting to much into detail i have trichotillomania AKA TTM which causes irresistible urges to pull at body hair. but i have found out like koosh balls or anything with an ability to pull has helped. this little review actually helped me decide whether or not to get one.

I would be happy to see this product come with a sort of pan. It could even have a cute image on it and preferably made of silicone. That way you could have a personalized (to the character) pan and dedicated area taken care of all in one.

i think i like this ones because they can actually be a pillow and that makes them a bit more functional, i think it would be cute if the website had like- different crafts you could make with fluff, and use the ziplog as a ziplog for pencils or to carry your friend but i thonk it would be nice to just encourage kids to keep reusings and giving new uses to things :3

These toys are fun as a handstripper (pet grooming) as they help me develop my technique for grabbing and holding coat to pluck the loose hairs. Such a neat concept for a toy I just wish there was more to do with the fluff that's removed
