I love how the doll parts are not only wrapped in paper, but they made the paper have extra *purpose*- one was a stationary sheet, another a fortune game, and some looked like they could be use as small wrapping papers and such. I love the creativity and extra usage with this set.
Pretty sure the one you're supposed to cut becomes something for playing purposes.
I hope it won a Design award! It deserves one or two

I love those dolls I love those dolls because like they’re cute and stuff anyway and they’re also come with a bracelet and they have kitty corns and I also have been watching this video and I love the video Lily and the dogs today❤❤❤❤ and I have made one on one light of those kids but different you hug to hatch the egg it’s called rainbow corns I know it sounds weird but they actually very fun and they have Dogcorns
I can make a the fortune game with paper
The wrapper with cutting marks on makes a paper fortune teller (I had to google it, in Sweden they're called paper fleas). I think it's kind of neat to have pretty patterns on the wrappers so that they can be used for crafting.
Do you know why the instructions say to set the first crush/break pieces aside for later use? Unless I zoned out for a hot minute I don’t think Jackie used them later, but I can’t think of what you could even do with the broken pieces?

@@kellyfuqua8840 You can put them inside the hair, especially if you'd rather use the beads for a bracelet or necklace or anything else. The crushed heart stuff ensures you still got something to put in the hair

As for the more pastel dolls, the desserts that they represent are lighter and more pastel colored. The churro girl had glitter (though I agree it should have been sealed) because churros are covered in sugar.
Secret tip for cable ties! Use nail clippers to trim the edges of cable ties and you can get them open with ease and a lot safer than scissors.
Your last one you got Bonnie puff. Her coloration is pearlescent. Her colors aren't supposed to be as bright or as vibrant they're just supposed to be like a very pastel pearlescent
Aww Jackie not liking the macaron girl makes me sad lol, she is my favorite out of this set! I love the pretty pastels and the poof factor, and the way they made her jumpsuit pearly and translucent so you can see her mint colored tank and undies. It's so cute!!
Yeah her dress reminds me of a robe à la reine! Which is a nice touch for my fashion history side and the French origin of the macaron! They did a good job with her design

Honestly, of most of the mystery boxes you've unboxed, these are probably my favorite. They're very interactive, interchangeable, the packaging is paper, and the gimmick is kind of fun. One of my criticisms is that you're going to get a million of those hammers, and the hammers are only used for one thing. I'd have loved to see a hammer that you can then take apart to use for play--something like being able to put beads inside of it, and make the handle recyclable.
Yeah!!! Like what if it stored your extra beads for later and/or had a little clip so you can put it on your bag!

This kind of reminds me of lalaloopsy minis in terms of design and the reuse factor. And the fact that there are pets and larger versions- the pose they're perpetually in too lmao.
Coco Mint is my favorite. Pretty sure the churro one only had glitter to look like cinnamon sugar on it. They really should have sealed it better though.
But you definitely should try the full sized doll, because they look very adorable as far as NexJen has seen. The creators have said they are inspired by the kawaii Lolita style from Japan.
Also the first gen had easier to open packaging and easier to crack clay, which lead to the clay breaking during shipping, and collectors opening the packaging in the store to get the ones they want. Just like the Doorables you bought.
I understand the point of the glitter per se - it was used on the churro character, and churros often have a sugar cinnamon coating. That being said, they definitely could have handled the craft herpies better haha
I bought these aswell and I got the ring pop character, she was also covered in glitter so I think they just threw some glitter around.

Actually the last doll is my favorite of them all. I noticed her from the very beginning. She is beautiful with her white puffy overall
If you want to avoid the hurty fingers with the scissors, those appear to be zip ties. You can use your sharp pointy thing to release the catch in the squarey bit and release the tie
Toy- comes with little hammer
Jackie- uses hammer like a knife and stab smashes toy...
Toy- come with large pink heart shaped resealable packaging
Jackie- the beads need some sort of container to hold them!
I'm teasing but this is still very funny to me 😁👍
Pro tip- all the packaging can be reused in art projects if you don't tear it all up. I personally stuffed fluff and tissue in some of mine then tied them with ribbon to make candy themed/pattern pillows and beanbag like chairs for my dolls.
I love these little dolls and I was hoping you will get Coco Mint and/or the Donut and you got both. It made me so happy. Also I am glad somebody finally points out the difference of a Macaroon and a Macaron. Thank you so much for that!!

I thought coco mint would be my fave but bonnie puff (who I’m now thinking is a cream puff) took the show for me she’s so cute! And her clothes look like a robe à la reine! Which is adorable for the French origin of the desert (also fun for my historical fashion interest lol)
Based of the name Bonnie Puff, I am inclined to say yeah she is probably meant to be a cream puff, although I definitely see why she would have thought it was a macaron though.

Bonnie Puff, as the name would suggest, is actually a cream puff character, not a macaron. I thought her headpiece looked weird for a macaron, since they are kind of known for that smooth flatness to their cookie parts, but her being a cream puff makes far more sense

i think they give you the lined paper, and then the one that youre "supposed to" cut, because it may make a letter. Hence the brand, Secret Crush. I think itd be cool if you try that out next time! This video was really fun. I hope you have a great day!

It broke my heart when you didn't cut along the cutting lines but the numbers :') The first series had plastic wrappers so I loved that this second one had paper you can reuse for crafts!
I have found only one pet in store and haven't seen any of these secret crush dolls in store for a while. But I love them, even if the Churro doll has annoying glitter (I have her and it's fine because Churros do taste better with sugar)

The pastel cream puff one kind of reminds me of the Little Twin Stars from Sanrio.
I actually liked the less saturated ones more. The donut and the churro girl are a little too bright pink for my taste. I think my favourite is the macaron one, but the coco mint and cake sprinkle ones are also really cute!

I think the first one was all glittery because she was a churro....you know cinnamon sugar coated dessert. Factories still should seal it, but hey churros are messy so she would be too 😂

For the loose glitter, you can spray the figure with clear fixative (same stuff you use on oil pastel art work). BUT: do this outdoor because the stuff is kinda stinky.
And you don't need special art fixative; regular hairspray works just fine as a fixative. (-:

I actually really liked the churro girl because she reminded me of a 60s mod girl 😅 maybe glazing over the glitter would help? I agree the glitter’s annoying lol. Yes! A think layer of Jackie’s fav - UV resin - would be a quick, easy way to solve the “unsealed glitter finish” issue.
Also, she suggested naming the chocolate mint ice cream girl “Choco Mint” instead of “Coco Mint”. Hmmm I dunno about anyone else but I’d much prefer to have my first name be “Coco”… instead of “Choco”. Being called (what is pronounced) Choke-Oh, 🙅🏻♀️nope. No thank you. Coh-coh is cute sounding.
Oh I LOVE Secret Crush !!!! This is the series 2, the one was so cute too ! I got all of them except the Marshmallow one ans the Bear one. I think the cutest is the " Candy Heart" ("candy's necklace one") and the Donut one ! YES the are pets !!! I got 2 of them, so cute ! i hope you gonna open some of the pets too 😍

All of the packaging from the toy is reusable so like you have the note page, there's a fortune teller, and backgrounds it's pretty cool

I like these so much 👀 absolutely worth it, I"m going to keep an eye out for them in stores. I also really like variance in saturation- I think that actually is good design because it's cohesive. I don't want everything to be so in-my-face with colours

I think you're being a bit hard on Bonnie, she's suppose to be pearlescent hence why she is shiny and a bit muted. I think shes really cute and gives a nice contrast to the other dolls that have a stronger more saturated look.
Wow, that first one scared me, I was like 10 bucks for that!!! Then when you opened the rest I was excited again. Too cute, I am going to have a ball opening them with the grandbaby😊 ( gma loves them too😅) As always, I enjoyed this. ( runs to see the game video now, lol )
