Gotta give Naofumi credit for this entire scene. He not only rescues Melty from this psycho like a boss, but helps Raph manage her trauma and is still pretty efficient in using threats, gathering intel, and strategizing constantly.
This level of skill is what the three stooges and the foolish king are missing out on.
@@Sora-md1ye It's weird how Myne and the King keep trying to screw Naofumi over, but it's that exact opposition and what he's had to go through that make him so strong. Not just the Cursed Series, but Naofumi making sure he's surrounded by people he can trust and rely on.
So...he's basically like 50% Batman.
When he tossed the antidote to the soldier right after this scene solidified my belief that Naofumi is textbook Lawful Neutral.
Probably got a small taste of it while getting his brother on track in our world
2:09 Filo's response/reaction time is ridiculous. That was easily a split second opening for an attack and she saw it in an instant. Thats definitely future Queen potential.
Or they just strategised before that. "The moment I place Air Strike Shield you hit him." Then again, they didn't know that he would take a hostage. Nah, they knew it, they were coming to protect Melty, after all...
They were just poised to strike, and the moment he lost his hostage, filo acted, because she actually is the fastest in the group

This is nothing. You should see her do a flying kick and in no time, transforms and ready to do a combo spell attack with Melty for a Typhoon.
Air Shield strike is officially my favorite spell for it's versatility.
The fact that he gets three later on is what I'm really looking forward to

@Frontrider I doubt it. We're barely touching volume 3 of the LN here in the anime. I'm on volume 13 and I still haven't heard of the tornado shield. Not saying it doesn't exist, just saying if Cal Mira island waves is the final arc for this season, we'll probably only scrap volume 6 I think
It can be used as a platform, an shield for someone else, it can knock the air out of someone. Quite reliable.

That Air Strike Shield ability is mighty convenient.

Air Strike Shield is essentially a Basic Mana Shield. And one thing any Rogue is well aware of: Basics kill. High level skills are flashy, but the Basics can kill just as easily.
Other heroes: NOOOO! YOU JUST CAN'T HAVE A BROKEN SPELL THAT DOESN'T HAVE THUNDER, FIRE, CHAOTIC OR ANY BADASS THING IN IT'S NAME!

@@franconunez925 i do find them more as situational damage skills and even then their linked to parries/counters as his only Hard hitting skills that do not needs parries are linked to his wrath shield and cost ludicrous amounts of SP or HP in a certain case

The anime raphtalia is too emotional, the light novel raphtalia doesnt have any trauma she already surpassed when she level up, she is more matured and cold than the anime looks
@@michiorarimsama7179 If thats true, than imma be honest, the light novel maybe made a mistake there. Traumas etc. are not so easy to overcome. Raphtalia still having ptsd from her past makes perfect sense here.

It was understandable that once Raphalia had faced her trauma and fears of the beast that killed her parents, the nightmares died down but until she faced the man who tortured her and her friends and came face to face with both the survivors and the ones who passed away it was a brilliant idea to have all of these emotions
