Nolto: Hanhae was Moonbyul's rap teacher/trainer during her predebut-debut years. He is also a regular cast in a variety show called Amazing Saturday (also named Nolto in korea), and Byul cried on the show when she met Taeyeon (and there was an instant where Byul knelt in front of Taeyeon, but Hanhae thought Byul was interacting with him, and he went to dance with her 😆. Probably why he added the line "don't cry, like how the star cried to Taegoo (taeyeon's nickname)" 😆😆🤣)
After Sunset: Moonbyul wrote it 3 years ago, and it's her very first song that she participated in the composition. 🥺
Timeline: I feel like I understand what you mean.. and to me probably because it sounded like a KDrama ost. 😆
Memories: really reminded me of Anime OST!!

For me this album was amazing (must say It really grows on you every time you listened to it), and gave me different vibes/mental images/feelings.
- Like a fool: Somehow feels like a really intimate song, pretty jazzy.
- Attention seeker: Gives me 2000's Avril Lavigne type of vibes and I love it.
- Nolto: Reminded me of something Whee In would sing. Now I'm craving my WheeByul sub unit even more.
- After sunset: A song that I would definitely play when I'm driving and just want to chill.
- Timeline: I just have one mental image with this song, end of summer, at the beach, playing and running with friends while the sun slowly sets.
- Dark romance: Eclipse' sister.
- Gold: Lifted my mood +100 points.
- Memories: Literally screamed "This is an anime opening!".
- Without: Perfect for an OST.

I think there were a few moos on twitter that actually used anime openings like Jujutsu Kaisen, Sword Art Online, Haikyu and placed "Memories" over as the intro song, IT WAS SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!! I screamed hahahahah

Still, I feel so so happy about her new songs. Her album was all of my favorite genres, music too. You know what I mean right, I just freaking love her and these songs were just amazing. English song, another vibe, rap, best collaborations /with my lovely Onewe too🥰/, and everything was just phenomenal.

Kinda Blue is Park Hyun Kyu from Vromance and you probably saw him on Second World when Moonbyul was asking him advice about singing (this was the episode when she sang Refuge). He is really close with all of Mamamoo because they trained around the same time (if I remember correctly). He also released a song with Hwasa titled I can't make you love me.

"ANIME OST?!?!?!!!!!!!!" actually the whole album has several songs that are either Anime vibey or Kdrama OST-ish too!!! But it's still such an awesome album!

Hanhae is her rap teacher, so if ur wondering who he raps like, he prob raps like Moonbyul. Or Moonbyul raps like him😀.
The thing abt Moonbyul singing is that its very pure. She doesnt use a lot of technique (not a musician so dont quote me on that), so u just feel this raw straight forward emotion. Whether its happy, sad, excited, dunno it just feels pure to me. N it also feels warm, it just hugs u.
I like memories 2 but honestly my fav change depending on mood n time.
The 9 muses r just spoiler for indicating that there will be various genre. I dont think there is any song connwction to them. I think the concept of this album is rhat she is trying to show all she could offer.
Honestly 4 concept i like sequence better. I just think that was a very well planned, well thought out album.
But the songs on this one might be higher quality. Maybe its bcoz shes flexing her voice more on this one.

You know, about Hanhae, idk if I once knew that or not but the fact that Solar also helped her with rap probably made me forget 😂
I’m a bit disagree with you on the technic thing. It’s actually required solid skill in order to be able to sing raw/emotional like that and sound good. You got to have solid skill to the point you confident enough that you stop caring about singing it right (highting the right notes) but just singing your heart out instead. That’s why I love Mamamoo. They all have very solid vocal skill but very different approach in their singing styles.
If you want to see an evidence for my opinion on this matter, just watch a live stage of Justin Bieber and compare it to a live stage of Adele. You will see what I mean.
However, I agree that many artists who have good vocal skill nowaday focusing too much on the technic which make their music sound emotionaless (Ariana for example in my opinion)
Like i said im not a musician😀. It just sounds raw n unfiltered 2 me which is pleasing. Like a human u know. Even b4 she improved her singing skill (N she has improved a lot since 2nd world, or maybe she just gained confidence), thats what i felt 2. Lacking better words, it just felt pure. Ill try to look up ur references to see if i can spot the diff😀
Btw if i were to name a western artist that i get this raw n unfiltered feeling, it would be Linkin park's Chester. Dunno if that helps explains what i meant better. But ur prob right, he used a lot of technique to sing like that.

Hanhae was her rap teacher, she shared it in the album medley video. Now that you've listened to the whole album do consider watching the album medley as she did it in a way whereby she shared her thoughts/lil stories of each song.
