Everything changed for me when I removed the word discipline from my vocabulary and started viewing things as fulfilling mine and God’s will. Will to live, will to connect, will of passion.
Okay but how do you apply that to school or just working out? Did you start being a little "diciplined" and then realixed it made you feel good, so you keep doing it now?
@@Iluvmushrooms19 yeah i feel like it's better to think why you do things is because it is fulfilling and is something that's good for you and not because you are just disciplined.
I used to be like you. You need to learn to take care of yourself. For instance, no matter how hard it is, if you find yourself working for too long, stop. Like do literally ANYTHING but working for a few minutes. It's super hard to resist at first, but the more you do it, the more you realize how much it helps you to be productive.
Actions will always speak louder than words , make sure to prioritize action and then eventually your brain will subconsciously start to trust you . A little exercise to try is make very small simple goals that you can’t fail at for example “at 4:30 I will fill up my waterbottle” that way your brain will start to subconsciously start trusting you when you accomplish multiple tasks like that
Don't worry about that. Just do your part daily, and after some time, you will be there again as you were before. Prove them with your actions, and remember, it will happen, it just will take some time.
When we are hurt/disappointed either by ourselves or others, we collect these experiences and can begin to form what we refer to as “trust issues”. The interesting thing about trust issues is in order for them to exist you have to believe (trust) in a predictable negative outcome which influences your actions. Which is to say you don’t need to “regain” trust in anything, every action and thought you take is grounded within trust in something. Try focusing on finding whatever mental/emotional blockage residing in you, that is preventing you from accessing the innate trust ever abundant within yourself
yeah man... the social media version of discipline mostly comes from the hardest of soldiers. For us, it's just doing the things that make you feel good and provide value to the world.
Watching this on New Year’s Eve and I feel like this is one of the most helpful videos I’ve watched so far on self help/change. I’ll be trying out the six things a day thing!
Here from Instagram reels. I dunno why but I struggle with basic health like sleeping and drinking water aswell as exercise. This was an intresting video bro ,really helpful
Wow- this video couldn’t be more on time for me, I really really needed this right now since I got sort of disciplined and improved my focus in the beginning but then I got sick n sort of fell back in the procrastination/putting off improvement hole. Love your videos and I also recently joined ur discord community and everyone’s been so helpful and comforting, it’s nice to know you aren’t the only one on a journey to be better.
I was homeless, did drugs ,went into prison, where I got to know God. He changes my life. Now I have a home,a wife and a lovely year old daughter (Zoe),and a stream of income that gats me $47,000 weekly. plus a new identity -a child of God, hallelujah!!!🇺🇲❤️❤️
First time coming across your video, thank you for sharing! You sound like someone who strives to seek knowledge (both intellectually & emotionally), and the way you talk/ carry yourself is admirable. I invite you to look into Islam, I feel you’ll find it interesting and soul connecting.
i find it so difficult to get motivated and disciplined when i'm doing anything useful, i always stop and ask myself like "yo. why are we doing this? we're going to die one day anyway, why put in so much effort for something that's going to be gone anyways when you can just waste it away and not feel bad about it?" idk. maybe im falling into depression, but i just cant seem to feel anything anymore. i can't feel sad. i can't feel angry. i can't feel happy. everything just seems too tiring and i just cant do anything productive anymore. there's a part of me that wants to get out there and be successful amongst everyone else, but yet the rest of me just keeps questioning that. skepticism i guess i guess another part of it is that i'm losing confidence in myself. back when i was younger, i used to be the cream of the crop. now, i'm just average. not even average id say, just plain bad. even in the thing i'm supposed to be best at, i see people beating me at it easily. you'd think i'd feel crappy, angry, wanting to get back on my feet, but no. i used to be like that. now i'm just numb. it feels like i don't care about anything anymore, but yet deep down i want to care so much. it's not even procrastination anymore. it's just plain "why do i do everything i do?" what's the point, really? if someone has any answers to this, or could provide me with some advice, i'd really appreciate it. i'm in a really deep pithole right now, lots of commitments, just cant seem to drive myself to achieve anything
I was just in a mental space like this last month or so, what helped me was first understanding my options. I have the choice to either live or die. If I decide to live I have the choice then, to either live a good life or live a poor life. These are my only, options as much as I wished there was some alternative place I could go to where reality would fade and It’d just me alone, I couldn’t. So after I realized I wanted to live I also had to realize I wanted a good life. Whats the point of living a poor life you have to work hard either way. I started small and just allowed myself to be more hopeful and think more positively. So many of my thoughts were negative and unhelpful if I wanted any sort of success. I let myself think more positively and listened to others like Jim Rohn, Tony Robbin’s, Les brown and David goggins who were skilled in the art of success. Even just listening to these motivational tapes felt like a chore but it was such an easy thing to do that I forced myself to listen to one tape a day for at least 30 minutes usually while I got ready for work. My advice to you is start small everything starts in your mind. It sounds like you’re right in the middle of wanting success and wanting nothing so start by first making a firm decision. Do you want success? Or do you want nothing? If you want nothing good, know that so you can start working towards that, but if you want success truly, you can’t grow a weed and a tree in the same pot. Get rid of the weed and focus on watering the tree. Both these thoughts can’t live in your mind, they contradict. You can’t say I want to be successful, but I don’t see the point. Either you want to be successful, or you don’t see the point. After you’ve made your decision set a clear goal and start listening to positive things. Start by getting rid of the things that bring negative thoughts one by one like music, shows, friends certain influencers etc. the more you think about your goal the bigger it grows. Like you’re watering a seed or nurturing a baby. The more you attention you give it the more it grows. Every thought about discipline grows discipline. So start by thinking differently. Sorry that was so long winded but I hope it helps you! ❤
