The best. That's not even up for debate. Could dribble from the wings and from midfield and score goals. Could hold the ball like a target man, pass to teammates and get in the box to score. Could shoot from distance and score with both feet. Could be the classic goal poacher in the box. Only Pele could do these things with the same skill, speed and technique. I love Ronaldo as much as any1 else.. But notice how almost all the crosses, passes, and shots after all that dribbling, are way off?
It's because dribbling wastes alot of energy. Energy that strikers today are coached to save for the box.
It's why players like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo phenomeno and players alike won't come back. It's beautiful, but it's not an efficient playstyle in the modern game.

With Ronaldo, you can expect him to come out of any defensive formation and that too with some sort of magic. Messi can do that too. But I like Ronaldo's one. Like I said he could improvise like a magician. Messi can do that with his excellent ball control in which he is second to none in history. But I like Ronaldo's gameplay. A pure treat to watch. Among the players that I have seen, these two are the best.

I have seen Cristiano beat 3 players only once during his career in Europe. R9 has 3 defenders for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Only Messi is better than R9. Even then, prime R9 is the closest to Messi's kryptonite for real.

@@BarhaTrading Messi is better because he has a range of options or tools to provide to the team while R9 mostly does based on his individual speed, phisicality, and technique. When football is more and more organized, R9 will meet difficult. What will happen if he play with slow players around him? Pass the ball back or try to dribble the whole opponent team? While I love R9 and consider him unstoppable between 1996-1999, Messi is super at every aspects of the game!

mbape and haland really need the team together for the ball to reach their feet to score the goal, whereas the phenomenal ronaldo didn't need it, as he left cleaning up, dribbling everyone until he passed to someone or scored the goal, that was the best football player I've seen to date, not even Messi surpassed him in my humble opinion!
Ronaldo had a lot of injuries, and the injury that broke his leg before the World Cup, no one believed in him anymore, he fought hard, trained, came back and was top scorer in the World Cup, he is the greatest player of all time.
