      I really appreciate the kind words 🙏 If it wasn't for the quarantine I'm not sure if I would have made these videos. I work full time (and over time), married with 2 kids and 2 dogs, and going to school 😅. But I really want to put out content and videos that I would like to see and this one took me 7-8hrs to make. The EMG vs Seymore is coming soon. I just have to write the riffs what best shows each position and how long they will be (not too short and not too long). But by all means share the video and Instagram is where I normally post first as I am always on there. But again, thank you for taking the time to watch the video and leaving a comment 🤙

    Thank you so much for making this review, McChurch118. I'm currently window shopping for a new 7 string guitar and this model made it to the list. I actually didn't know they made this because I don't really keep up with Corey Beaulieu's Jackson guitars but saw it browsing Jackson's website just to see what 7 string guitars they have. I love flying V guitars and wanted to see/hear what owners were saying about them and that's what led me to your RUclips review. Cheers with the B.C. Rich Warlock. I love that company and own a bunch of U.S. custom shop and import models from them.

      Hey, McChurch 118. I did go and check out what Solar have on their website. Very cool looking guitars and really good prices. Unfortunately for me, I'm a guitarist who relies heavily on fretboard markers. I know their guitars have side dot markers but I'm not sure how much those would help me. It does suck because I really like their V1/7D LTD model. The one with the aged natural matte finish. If that thing had fretboard inlays, I would have made it a contender for my next 7 string. The name for that one model called the Canibalismo is amusing. Sounds like a member of Gwar. LOL.
      I did watch your RUclips review of your white Solar guitar. Very cool and informative. Cheers for playing some of the bars to Welcome home (Sanitarium) from Metallica.

    I got this last week and all I can say about it is that it plays and feels really good, the pickups are really good, they don't make noise when you have it directly to your computer. The sustain is also another plus for this guitar and the neck is smooth and allows you to play fast, however, my hands are not the size of Corey's hands so the frets are a little big for me haha. Yes, it came with minor details on the cuts below the body and a circular mark where the body and the neck meet, it's like they did not pay extra attention to those things but you can expect these issues from an indonesian manufacture guitar. Other than that, It's a great instrument, not really that expensive although I needed to sell some stuff including one guitar to pay for it but if you're a fan of Trivium I'm pretty sure you're going to love this guitar!

    • @mcchurch118

    Between this one and Matt's Epiphone, which one do you prefer, and why? The only problem I can see with this one is the Floyd Rose, I'm happy to have picked up a 6 string MKH before they sold out here in Canada.

    • @mcchurch118
      @mcchurch118  3 года назад +1

      That is a good question and thank you for asking. I would have to go with Corey's and here is my personal reasons why: after trying a lot of guitar shapes out, the V fits like a glove to me. When i sit down (which is how i play 90% of the time) I tend to play in the "classical" position and Vs just sit right and don't move. The was necks are on Vs are great because they rest of the guitar stays out of the way from the fretboard (and this fretboard is by far the best one I have ever played on). So I tend to like Vs more.
      Matt's MKH is fun to play with but I'm slowly disliking the les paul shape (heresy I know lol) but the neck on a les paul is very different from all other guitars as far as its positioned. If you have one or could try one out you will know what I am talking about. And I'm not sure if it is something with this model or the wiring but it feels like it has no sustain to it. I've changed the batteries and strings but I always find that I need to crank the gain on my interface for it to sustain.
      But that is just me. Not saying the MKH is bad but it is just not my style. I still have it and play it but not as much as my Solar V2.6 🤘

    • @mcchurch118
      @mcchurch118  4 года назад +1

      The neck is slightly heavy, there is a slight "neck dive" in it but that is also due to the strap locks. The strap locks are not set in place so they can swivel easily with the strap and the guitar.
