Harli, I am a red blooded male who likes camping, hiking, and fishing. I started watching your channel mostly to be entertained by your abstract thoughts because you make me laugh, but also because you just seem like a fun person to hang out with. Oh, and guess what? I now have a houseplant garden!!! Monstera, philodendron, nerve plant, succulents, and more. It's fun to take care of and it makes the house look better. If you could inspire a 40 year old dad, you can inspire anyone.
Harli, you’re my favorite plant-tuber. I love how grounded and relatable you are. I love how you share your failures with us, as well as your successes! What I DON’T LOVE is when you’re too hard on yourself! You’re not stupid or dumb, you’re not a terrible RUclipsr. You’re a human. And you seem like a pretty rad one if you ask this other human! Self-talk is important, and I think you deserve to talk more nicely to yourself! Be kind to my friend Harli, she’s been through a lot. ❤️❤️ Love you!
I buy caladiums from My Plant Obsession every year and it’s always a great experience. Nice, clean, healthy, well labeled bulbs every year. I would chalk that up to a random, unfortunate, occurrence based on my prior experiences.
So, the thing about those plastic cups: you can recycle them as mini prop containers, or maybe just recycle them depending on the type of plastic it is. There’s always something you can use them for. My sister and I recycle take out containers as prop boxes for succulents and cacti. That mealy bug made me nauseous. What did the seller say?
Yeah… it’s an easy way to recycle those cups and they might have recycled them already by using them as shipping later? Maybe you can use the cups for kid projects or more plants?
That was fun! I am glad your plants arrived well! I ordered right before the other video went up and I got my plants last week. They also arrived looking great! Yay for new plants!
Seeing the cabinet terrarium feels like something forbidden, but it's sooo prettyyyyyy! And I love this series of shopping and unpacking with you, especially because I found your channel from plant hauls
Yes please do this again! This was so much fun and I am going to the shops to buy the plants that you bought so you’re also helping them and promoting them!
I think taping the plant to the bottom of the box can work well in cases like Sansevierias. It keeps the leaves and tips from hitting the top of the box and breaking off during transit. These plants are beautiful, I was so excited watching you open each box! 😃❤🌱
Cool plant haul. I recently purchased a Adenia glauca...such a great plant. I would probably switch from scissors to a box cutter for opening boxes. Box cutter is sharper & having to apply more pressure to cut with scissors is a bit more hazardous.
Oh gosh Harli, so many beautiful plants, this was a great video. I have to agree I really hate mealy bugs, and that one was the biggest one I have ever seen. But you are good at taking care of those things and I am sure those plants will be just fine. I haven't had a chance to order any plants online because I haven't had the income to do that yet, but hopefully I will be able to before the weather gets super cold and then I won't till spring when it is warmer. Thanks for another fun video, I hope you day is good, sending love and hugs, bye!! 😂🤗💜💜💜🌱🍁🍂🌹
So glad you got the Passiflora and the Burkei! They are such amazing plants and so much fun to grow! Hope they do well for you! My personal favorite from this was the Adenia Glauca -the one you got was such a great specimen, so tempted to get one myself now!
I bought a young Weeping Ficus Starlight from Etsy. I love it even though it came with mealy bugs. I caught it right away so was able to treat it and monitor every few days and as I found one would get it off with a q-tip and Iso alcohol. Its been a month and I think it's now bug free. There is no damage and it's gorgeous. I learned alot through this and I'll even buy from that seller again. Bugs happen 😁🤷🏻♀️
You got so many fun plants that I've never heard of. I definitely want one of those fuzzy ficus plants. As a buyer I've never got any bugs on any of plants. At least to my knowledge. My biggest pet peeve is waiting so for sellers to ship. If it's packaged well, there is no need to wait til Monday. I say this as for wait for 2 sellers to drop off plants that I bought last Weds. 😕
All the plants look good! Some were quite big too! So sad that you found a mealy, hopefully that was the only pest! 😊 Plant mail is the best for sure 🎃❤
This was a fun video! I understand how you feel about unboxing plants with problems. I think nearly all of mine this last summer have had some sort of issue, from Spidermites, Thrips to Mealy Bugs. Even all my huge variegated monsteras from my favourite growers had issues, although I spotted thrips after unboxing. You can’t help feel disappointed and it’s hard to hide but it’s okay! It’s very sweet you thinking about the seller ❤
That one that has thorns... is a weed in my yard (if it's the same plant). It has yellow flowers that are pretty. But it spreads like nobody's business. The thorns get super long and hurt like hell... I hope it's not the same plant, but it looks like the ones in my yard. I'm in Australia, we don't have snow, so it might be kept under control by your climatic conditions. Just keep an eye on it. I want a passiflora but can't find them here. Maybe they are weeds here too? They are so cute though.
The first 2 plants you inbox looks very needy (high humidity) and I think the cup help with that. Also, who knows if that cup is cleaned and reusable? 🤷♀️At least I do that with the bubble wrap and the cup to use as a pot for my plants.
If your plant was sliding from one end of the box to the other, getting smashed at each slid, I'm sure you would change your mind about taping the plant to hold it in one place.
curious - how do you clean dust off the first plant with all the fuzz? is it the same as cleaning other plants? (ie. a damp microfiber cloth). i don't have any fuzzy plants so i wouldn't know! haha
How fast do mealies grow if they’re just sitting and eating? Could that one have been an impossible to see tiny baby when the plant was packaged and it managed to get that big during transit? 🤔🤔 I’m genuinely curious lol
I love the series but I'd have loved to have been there for the potting and placing of the plants as well. And please give us an update in some months to see how they are doing! 😊 I totally understand that you don't want mealybugs on your plants even though it can happen but that is something a shop is supposed to see, especially on a caudex plant.
Harli you didn´t put in the intro ☹ But I really liked this video. Also like that you don´t buy all the popular plants like Monstera, Philodendron and so on. It´s fun to see what´s out there 🥰
I got a 4ft 15gal snake plant at the friggin 99C STORE for $25! Seemed too good to be true.. it was. Infested with scale in the center. Treatable but gross. It happens!
Hey Harli!! So definitely love these videos!! Even if it is only once or twice a year!! I'd say a keeper for sure!! And girl you are not a terrible youtuber!!! Your actually very good!! But you are human and as annoying as it is....we make mistakes lol!! Love ya girl!! Chin up...shit happens!!
The Ladybird mealy bug destroyer looks like mealy bugs but they are bigger and move around a lot more. It’s beneficial for killing bad pests but most people just react because unfortunately it looks a lot like the pest species, mealy bug that plant loves suffer with. Seeing anything on your plants can be very concerning and the worry of infection is real 🫤. Just being devil’s advocate that not everything is what it seems

Love you!
I totally agree. Harli, please be kind to yourself. We love you!! ❤
Agreed…
I chuckled at the caudex plants thrown into the bag of diatomaceous earth 😂 They looked like powdered donut holes!
Yum 😋
Omg I can’t unseen that! 😂
Powdered donut holes with a side of mealy bugs crawling all over the donuts....Ewww. Can’t unsee that either! 😮
Yes, thank god I’m not alone on that😅
I buy caladiums from My Plant Obsession every year and it’s always a great experience. Nice, clean, healthy, well labeled bulbs every year. I would chalk that up to a random, unfortunate, occurrence based on my prior experiences.
That’s what I was hoping it was! I’m happy you’ve had great experiences there. I may give them another go

Yeah… it’s an easy way to recycle those cups and they might have recycled them already by using them as shipping later? Maybe you can use the cups for kid projects or more plants?
Yep that was my thought too, I keep all the shipping materials my plants come in and re use them!!
You have always been good about showing plants I've never heard of anywhere else, thank you!!
I liked this series! It definitely triggered me to look on Etsy for more plants 😂 I'm so ready to see your cabinet terrarium video!!
Haha I hope you found some good ones!
That was fun! I am glad your plants arrived well! I ordered right before the other video went up and I got my plants last week. They also arrived looking great! Yay for new plants!
So much fun to shop and unbox!
Seeing the cabinet terrarium feels like something forbidden, but it's sooo prettyyyyyy! And I love this series of shopping and unpacking with you, especially because I found your channel from plant hauls
The passiflora is just amazing!
Love this!!! Your new babies are awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍 you are a great RUclipsr 💚💚💚💚

Would love to see more plant shopping videos ☺️🥰 they are my favourite
Cool plant haul. I recently purchased a Adenia glauca...such a great plant. I would probably switch from scissors to a box cutter for opening boxes. Box cutter is sharper & having to apply more pressure to cut with scissors is a bit more hazardous.
Loved all your selections and so cool to see the second part to your online shopping video! I NEED a passiflora vine someday!
Lovely selection of plants. So nice to see different variety of plants.
Yes! I enjoyed this two part kind of video. Thanks for all the updates!
Beautiful selection of plants 💚🙌 all new to me 💚🪴
All such beautiful plants!👍
💚🌵☘️🌱

Okay that last little tree plant looked like something put of a doctor suess book. Lol! Adorable.
You are such an amazing person, keep being you!
I totally freak when Bugs show up. You are amazing
Love your taste in plants!
So glad you got the Passiflora and the Burkei! They are such amazing plants and so much fun to grow! Hope they do well for you! My personal favorite from this was the Adenia Glauca -the one you got was such a great specimen, so tempted to get one myself now!
I got the same plant from the Lady Cove! I'd never heard of it before but it was such a cool looking plant.
Ugh! So many cuties 🥺😍 definitely adding a bunch of these to my wishlist.
i loveeee the hairy ficus. so cute!
Great video Harli! I'd definitely love more like this! Sorry about the mealy bug 🐛
I bought a young Weeping Ficus Starlight from Etsy. I love it even though it came with mealy bugs. Love this Harli!!! Have a safe and fun Halloween!!
as far as the plastic cups go u can always reuse fast food cups for that type of packaging. they dont necessarily need to be clear ones either
Loved this series!

Interesting plants! I think I just added new plants in my wishlist!

i think you were very very fear about the mealybug. which i love
I LOVE my Mirabilis!
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! Happy Halloween :)
Yayyy plant mail!!
your hairrr 😍😍
hope you can do.. how to start plants from seeds
Every time I shipped plants I always put foil insulation to stabilized temperature inside.
Kool video, 1&2, keep doing them

Yeyyyyy another videoooo from my girl hailey
curious - how do you clean dust off the first plant with all the fuzz? is it the same as cleaning other plants? (ie. a damp microfiber cloth). i don't have any fuzzy plants so i wouldn't know! haha
Please tell me you’ll do a video of you remaking your ikea cabinet 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Yes!
The Meally say hi Hailey lol yes but the person should make sure that any plants dont have pest and that was a big ass Meally
This was so fun to watch! Would def watch this content again. Just slow down your talking a bit if you can 😅 have a great day 👋🏼😊

I totally understand that you don't want mealybugs on your plants even though it can happen but that is something a shop is supposed to see, especially on a caudex plant.
I was told to soak caudex bulbs overnight after receiving
I just assume any new plants have pests and treat them while in quarantine.
What do you do if there is mold?
Harli you didn´t put in the intro ☹ But I really liked this video. Also like that you don´t buy all the popular plants like Monstera, Philodendron and so on. It´s fun to see what´s out there 🥰
Wow ❤
Did that mealy bug crawl into your hair (630)?! Lovely haul, minus the bugs.
It’s a piece of lint hahaha I noticed it after I stopped filming
@@HarliG I’m just teasing. 😘
How u did ur ikea terranium i want to transform mine plant mail is the best
I got a 4ft 15gal snake plant at the friggin 99C STORE for $25! Seemed too good to be true.. it was. Infested with scale in the center. Treatable but gross. It happens!
Hey Harli!! So definitely love these videos!! Even if it is only once or twice a year!! I'd say a keeper for sure!! And girl you are not a terrible youtuber!!! Your actually very good!! But you are human and as annoying as it is....we make mistakes lol!! Love ya girl!! Chin up...shit happens!!
That is a HUGE mealy bug! 😅
Try not to cut myself… Ow! 🤣
😅
Probably it wasnt a mealybug, ladybugs are huge and very helpful eating pests
It was a mealy 😋 I recently dealt with an infestation on a couple plants & they were identical
It’s definitely a mealy, but a single bug is nothing to freak out over. Treat, quarantine, and keep going. 😊
I’m hoping that wasn’t a mealy bug in your hair eeek! Lol.
It wasn’t, fortunately it was just lint 😂
hairyplanthairyplanthairyplant
Don't forget plants started outside, so pests are a natural event. Head lice ,now that's disgusting 😆
The Ladybird mealy bug destroyer looks like mealy bugs but they are bigger and move around a lot more. I totally get what you’re saying, but this was 100% a mealy bug!
