I hate when people say, no, you didn’t see that. You probably saw (insert whatever). When multiple people see something and experience something together, and they have nothing to gain and everything to lose, you should give them a listen.

@joshuasonofarthur9010 Absolutely! The arrogance of humanity is astonishing. Science is still in its infancy and yet people dismiss everything that science hasn’t yet proven. It’s so nonsensical! Look how much we have learned and discovered in the last century alone. There is SO MUCH we don’t understand, and doubtless things we never will.
As Socrates said, “I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.”

Well...remember that sometimes people will exaggerate or make up stuff just to get attention. Never rule out that possibility completely. I'm just surprised that lady bought that house next to the Pine Barren without first researching the history of that bizarre and almost lifeless forest. Personally, I would NOT want to live close to that type of forest. I read that the soil there is too acidic for most trees and plants. Didn't her real estate agent tell her anything about the neighborhood that she was moving into? Also, why were they turning off the Christmas light in February? Most of the time, people take down their. Christmas decorations by the end of January. I thought that was a little suspicious.

As a customer care rep located from another country i received a call from a elderly man from wisconsin asking to change his address. To build rapport i asked him why, he said he bought a new property in vermont. Then he told me something killed his two miniature horses. He chained a goat near where he park his truck near the wood line. He's expecting "yote's or cayot's idk maybe he's referring cayotes. He stationed himself on the 2nd floor of his barn with a rifle and a shotgun with him. He said something from the woodlines emerged. First he thought it was a black bear he estimate the weight around 650 to 700 lbs because of the size. It was in all fours zigzaging its way near the goat hiding from bushes and parked trucks. I talked to him for an hour i sacrificed my AHT that time coz he wont let me speak. He sounded distraught, stuttering etc. Unlike a bear he said with a barrel like body, this thing have a body of a body builder, its canine he said but not a wolf or a cayot or dog (kindly tell what kind of animal is a cayot please) when the thing got near the goat he said it stand up in two legs turn its head where his house is located faces the goat and walked towards it then it stopped. Turned its head left and right, snatched the goats front leg and trying to pull it. The clanking of chains made the his dogs barked inside the house and now it was like panicking. He said that thing bit the goat neck and with a swift turn it run back straight back to the woods in all fours like a chimp. Leaving the goat head behind. I said, so.. its a werewolf? He said we call it a dogman around here.

She said one asked her if she owned a gun. And she said no? and did not want any. He then said she should think about getting one. One thing I noticed talking to people through the years on weird stories like these that don't go away. Like that teacher with meme thing. Those are the people that get scared and they make that meme stuff up to feel better for themselves. Ran into that with a few people with obvious life out in space besides us. They would get so scared then make up stuff to feel better that made no sense. So never talked about that stuff at work.

There’s been a rash of “domesticated dog” attacks too, at least that’s what the authorities tell the public about the victims that were ripped apart like in the Amber Miller and Tony Ahrens case in Newport Tn. Both of them attacked in the same remote area. The Drs, nurses and EMT were all served with gag warrants, hmmm makes you wonder why, I mean it was only domestic dogs why keep them silent. After all this time it’s still listed as an open case which means they can’t talk about it. A couple miles from the attacks there’s a homeless camp and this guy who was really wanting to find out what actually happened rode down to this area and spoke to some of the homeless, they reported seeing these strange doglike creatures running through the woods and they also spotted them going down to the pigeon river to drink from it. They told this guy that he needed to get out of there before dark or else these creatures would knock him off his motorcycle and drag him away. When asked if these homeless people felt safe down there he was told that they had nowhere else to go, they felt safer if they all stayed together in a group. These ain’t no ordinary dogs!!

By this logic, The Jersey Devil and a picture of Kermit the frog holding a cup of tea are on the same categorization. The idea of ideologies and folklore being considered "memes" really takes away from the influence and impact that many things such as folklore, do for us. They often have morals, or project the mindset of the time they were conceived in, cautionary tales, things our ancestors genuinely feared, or even admired. Memes ultimately are satire, mockery, and social ques of various situations. The only similarities between the two are superficial at best, and makes me fear my generation's outlooks on beliefs as a whole 😅 But hey look! William Shatner!

@@PoeLemic hello friend. About 30 years ago I was driving to work @ 4 am in a remote area in n. California alone. Driving 1977 GMC 4x4 with big tires and 4" lift kit. What I saw was a large hairy creature running down a cut bank as I was going around a right hair pin corner onto a flat and straight section of this 2 Lane paved road. First thing I saw were two legs diagonally traversing down the cut bank from left top corner of windshield towards bottom right as I come around this hair pin corner. I could not see anything above the knees it was just running at my truck on an intercept
course so as I accelerate onto the flat I saw it cross the road behind me in my driver side mirror then the rightt side mirror gaining on me fast. The whole way this thing on its hind legs. Remember this is @ 4 am an still dark out so I still haven't determined what this thing is. At about 30 mph while running up to the passenger side window this I don't know what is looking in back at me. At this point it did not really register to me what I am seeing now at 8 ' away running on 2 legs outside left window at 35 mph. After I realized I did not know this creature while looking at it look back at me made it around 8 ' tall. Glowing red eyes looking back at me startled me so I stepped on the accelerator and pulled away from it at about 50 mph watching it fade in my rear view mirror. I estimate it's weight to be at least 450 lbs. I did turn around to go back and see if I saw things right and I surely did. When I arrived where I last saw it there it was climbing a pine tree at exactly the right elevation to see it's face and hands and eyes glowing more intensity than before. Yes I said hands. At about 50' away with high beams directly upon it I thought I have no camera or weapon so I got the heck out of there. Never told a sole about this untill I heard a friend speak of seeing similar creature. Peace.R.C.H.

I love the demonstration with the picture and the word of mouth and how it changes from person to person. This is exactly why witness testimony isn't exactly the best in court. People usually don't pay attention. That's been proven even in RUclips comments. People either post what they THINK they heard someone else say, or read information that has not been fact checked or proven. It's so difficult because the average person is typically an unreliable resource. People don't remember things historically, they remember things emotionally. That's why I tell everybody: a good memory is a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing to remember what actually happened correctly. It's a curse because everyone else with terrible memories either call you a liar or a know it all, especially if you try and correct them. It's extremely frustrating.🤦‍♂️

we turned wolves into Jack Russel in a few hundred years and human generation is on average 20 years but canids can have up to 40 generations in that time meaning that can mutate or evolve 40 times faster than man yet the scientist found that the Flurensess man arrived on the island with an average height of 5ft 8inches yet in less than a thousand years the mean hight went from 5'8" to 4ft. Around a 40th of that time is less than a 100 years and 200 years ago the farmer wiped out the local wolf population but what if the bigger smartest wolves survived by standing to see a man coming from a much further distance than his nonstanding brother then 200 years later and many 100s of generations we have the upright walking canine the Dogman like i said if selective breeding can turn a wolf into a jack Russel than then maybe a wolf turned itself into a dogman

Who knows? I don't have any answers except that some of these creatures sound like they are half physical and the other half comes from the etheric world or spiritual world? Maybe? I don't know. I'm sure these people experienced SOMETHING weird, shadowy and creepy, but I think it's a mistake to quickly jump to conclusions and fill in the blanks using one's fears and imagination. But there are strange things out there, and we don't even fully understand how human consciousness works. Sometimes I wonder if people can actually create real monsters out of their fears and nightmares. You know, an act of Will or some type of psychic materialization of thoughts that we have. Maybe? I don't know. Just speculation. Anything is possible I guess.

The hammerhead bat (or "hammer-headed bat") is a real animal that 100% looks like the classic visual of the Jersey Devil. That’s what it is. The bats were imported and released. Likely the colder climate killed the smaller ones and the hairier larger ones survived. Chimneys of abandoned buildings and unused chimneys in homes are a good place to stay warm and roost.

It might be worth noting that vertical slit pupils don't really work unless you're a predator low to the ground like a snake or a small cat. Slit pupils help with depth perception when there's a lot of visual "noise" around like grass and rocks at ground level. It makes it easier for the animal to see if it has a clear shot at prey. That isn't really that effective high up off the ground though; this is why big cats like lions have round pupils while their small cousins have slit pupils. So if there really is an 8 foot tall reptilian race out there (which is doubtful to say the least), they probably have round pupils.

@@starmnsixty1209 Well yes, that's true, since we can't literally see through, say, a cat's eyes. As far as we know based on our knowledge of biology and physics, vertical slit pupils are not really that useful if your height is any taller than a fox's. It looks really neat, though.

Let her go into a room with the next person, tell him/her in a normal speaking voice. Allow questions and repetition, then the recipient goes into the next room and tells the next person.

I believe the Jersey Devil could very well be a hammer headed bat(s) that traveled on ships back when the story started. Could have clung to the back of the under ledge of a Galleon. Much like the gods raining fire and brimstone when in our understanding today is a volcano erupting. Legends are quite fascinating as there are often a portion of truth to it.

Granted, finding warmth around humans' homes, settlements, and so on if they stayed in the area throughout winter. Nature finds a way. Particularly species. Granted, not all, but they aren't exactly stupid. Back then, orchards and people planting all sorts of fruit was a mainstream thing. Most people planted their own as it was cheaper. No corporate stores. But I digress. Improbable... sure... impossible. No, not ultimately.

I thought the damage to the one car had been discovered to be a stray pit bull that had been after a cat or something that hid in the engine. I am almost certain someone did a DNA test on the saliva found. As for the Jersey Devil story, what does it look like when an owl hops across a roof covered in snow? Most of the behavior and sightings line up with a great horned owl, and people are terrible at judging the size of flying things, especially when in the dark and frightened.

Also these locations in the Pine Barrons where there is supposedly void of critters such as squirrels and birds basically well did they notice how she said that the forest was void of anything but darkness well she basically gives you the real reason no animals in these locations? And that is the fact that why would there be any animal's in a part of the forest that is void of everything but darkness because normally the animal's follow the food and water supply mam? That's probably the most true reason there were no animal's in the location you mentioned or maybe just that time of the year in these locations???
