  • Weird or What examines whether we can mysterious disappear without a trace. It looks at the case of three men who vanish from a yacht off the coast of Australia. It, then, goes to Vermont where almost a dozen people have disappeared from a remote mountain wood. Finally, in Tasmania a pilot disappears after he was chased by an unknown craft.

    People can disappear, I almost did, in the middle of a busy city too. When I was 15 back in 89, I left a friend's apartment, walking about a mile and a half to another apt complex, instead of walking down a busy 4 lane and turning rt down another road, I decided to cut some distance out by cutting through a vacant 1 1/2 acre lot with knee high grass and no brush. Usually that lot was mowed, but hadn't been in a month, I got midway and broke through a piece of rotten plywood, that had been placed over an old water well! My adrenaline kicked in instantly, and somehow I managed to cat grab the edge before falling in. I knew the danger of never being found if I lost my grip and fell in completely, as I heard dirt and debris falling into water seconds after I dislodged it. I desperately clawed my way up out of that well, and was terrified because, even though there were two busy roads a couple hundred feet away, the cars traveling 45mph nearby with no stoplights close by, would never have heard me calling for help, and I would've ended up one of those people that left point a. Walking a short distance to point b, and vanished without a trace!! There's an assisted living facility on that lot today, I sometimes wonder exactly how many missing people actually met that, or similar, non supernatural fate?! Just thought I'd share that.

      When I was about 12 years old after my Mom left, my dad had a buddy who owned a pizzeria with games and billiards that I would go to after school every day it was within walking distance of the school, it was an old building with a few apartments above. The building had a basement which was filled with old stuff it was a hoarders dream so my dad's buddy hired 2 of his normal customers to begin cleaning it out they were coming up and down the stairs all day until they did not come back up, my dad's buddy had went down to find out what they were up to and did not see them anywhere until he heard screams from the 2 boys it turned out that they fell into an old basement water well and we're stranded in the freezing water until the VFD could arrive and rescue them luckily it was not a recovery effort.

    It's easy to manipulate thoughts. You can literally make someone believe something happened when in actuality it did not. We don't know the pasts of the 3 men. If someone knew they were heading out on a trip, they could have easily been followed and held at gun point, and lured into another boat. I think it's a good theory. Especially if we do not know their personal history or lives.

    It's hard to predict what people will do in certain circumstances, but it seems to me like the first thing they would want to do if somebody fell overboad is stop the boat. And about the young pilot. He didn't say anything about being disoriented or confused. He claimed to see something he thought was a plane. And yes it's suspicious the way he ended his transmissions with, "it's not a plane!" But other witnesses saw something hovering outside the plane too.

    The Great William Shatner! Certainly one of the most influential entertainers across 2 centuries. His cinematic adventures have literally inspired Millions (possibly billions). In many cases bringing science fiction into science fact. When first he set out as Kirk... the idea of a phone without a wire: was a mocked abusurdity... yet today... hardly a person does not have one.

      I think that is the most likely possibility. It was an accident of some kind where they all suddenly were in the water, trying to save each other; also, since they are all passed 50 years old, one could have had a heart attack and fallen in, the others jumped in to save him etc, sad story, but I dont believe in getting into wild stories about giant squid or the standard explanation, aliens LOL, since there is fishing line tangled, and no evidence of squids or aliens was found, you go with the evidence.

    In the first story of the 3 guys sailing, the last suggested possibility was a man over board theory and I dont think that one should even be a possibility. 2 of the 3 men were somewhat experienced boaters. I doubt they would of dove in to rescue without trying to toss the circle flotation device out, just dont make sense. Now what is possible is that they had someone set up to meet them with another boat and they left their lives to start new ones.... I'd believe that more than they all just jumped off and drowned.

    I searched what could shred sails on a boat and this came back : " Broaching is when the boat heels too far to one side, or capsizes. The boat falls on its ear, its bow driving into the direction of the wind. The mast tips sideways, forcing its sails to sweep the water's surface or submerge. A broach can shred sails and toss crewmen overboard." Hmmm ...

    • @irishred2u2
      @irishred2u2 3 года назад +3

      that seems more plausible then a a giant squid (not saying they don't exist) suddenly jumping up and grabbing all 3 men simultaneously and disappearing back into the sea...I guess that wouldn't make the show as entertaining - I mean come on, that's their go to explanation!?

    • @Pipsqwak
      @Pipsqwak 7 месяцев назад

      Trimarans and catamarans don't tend to heel or broach (broaching usually happens to single-hulled sailboats during an uncontrolled jibe while sailing downwind). If a multi-hulled boat does have one of their proas lift out of the water they tend to capsize completely, and, because of their wide beam, they are very stable upside down so they tend to stay that way. If Kaz II had capsized to the point her sails touched water, she'd have turned over and remained upside down. I personally have seen this happen during an ocean race off the coast of British Columbia. Single-hulled sailboats can roll completely and even pitchpole and come back upright, but trimarans never do. Also, such extreme motion usually snaps the mast; it doesn't just rip the sails. This boat's ripped headsail was the result of luffing because no one was around to trim it as the boat rounded up into the wind. .

    I love William Shatner. Not from Star Trek, as I've never watched it. Perhaps as a child I caught a glimpse here and there but not enough to know any of the characters or any part of the storyline in the least. However, just seeing him in various adverts, Priceline in particular, and as a host to various programs, such as Weird or What, I've come to grow very fond of him as an actor. While he tends to offer one main character when working as a spokesperson or a host and hence playing himself, it's apparent, to me at least, how versatile he can be. His range of acting is, without a doubt, significant enough to put him up there with other actors (actress as well) who have won a multitude of awards across various platforms. Not to mention, when cast as himself as either a host or a spokesperson for whatever company/product, the persona he presents is very likeable and relatable. I think, unfortunately for the world at large, Shatner is greatly underrated and because of that, the world was not afforded the chance to see him excel at his craft in all the ways he could have because he wasn't cast in enough roles or in a greater variety of roles that would have afforded him the opportunity to really shine as I can see he is able to. Sadly, that's a regrettable loss for us. #IHeartShatner #WillIShat4Eva

Ive seen where two trained off duty emergency rescue workers ran out on ice to try to save a friend that fell through instead of using their training and finding a safer way to help. they would be among the missing too if the fourth person had ran out there. The third guy probably fell overboard trying to pull one of the other guys back on the boat. If the guy in the water was panicking he would probably lunge and grab at anything he could reach to get back on the boat. That training is hard to follow too.. im tolg. youre supposed to throw them a life preserver and wait until youve got their attebtion.. then use a rope or paddle '' Someting you can let go of" never let them grab you.

      Sandra, I don't know if you know this, but here goes (I DO agree w you, but they won't get away with abuse).----- Christ Does KNOW. In aprox . 2004-2007, an Israeli Bollo analytical lab, under the Israeli Arch. Authority, analyzed the blood found on the "Mercy Seat" of the Arch of the Covenant, which had been found in a cave, 18 feet under the center cross hole on Golgotha. Jeremiah had described hiding it, during the Babylonian siege, and later sack of the Temple, which was NOT ever located where people in general think it is at the wailing wall, or in Ethiopia. (Though, the fact that the 'protecting monks', live an average of 3-4 years after being put in with what they think is the ARK is---- All Blind, after being exposed to radiation. Very peculiar.) (THE Wailing Wall was where the fort for the Roman legion was garrisoned, that big slab area. Nowhere, in the OT is the water supply for the Temple described as being there, and is in fact, Not anywhere there at the wailing wall. Water was always located at the Mercy Seat, for "washing of sins".). THE ARK NEVER LEFT Jerusalem area. --------NOW, to the BLOOD found on the Mercy Seat. The Israeli gov. has no reason to support Christ being their Messiah. However, the lab, allowed their work to be filmed. Humans have 23 chromosomes from Each parent. However, the blood which flowed down from the center cross, was analyzed as having 23 from a female, and '1' Y (Male) chromosome. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY HUMAN TO GROW BEYOUND BIRTH, IF ALIVE AT BIRTH, AT ALL, TO ADULTHOOD. ------------YET, an Adult was Crucified, with this chromosome description, scientifically analyzed & confirmed by several later labs, to have a total of 24, ----NOT 46 Chromosomes. ----> 23 Female/1 male 'Y' chromosome, , Just as Described in the Biblical TEXT. CHRIST will NOT allow abuse from Anyone, when He comes (I suspect this is probably soon, by the way)--- read for yourself. It will not disappoint you, Sandra. If you want additional sources, I can point you to those. My background, professionally, is in physiology, chemistry, and chemical engineering. I read constantly, since age 6. Currently 67, and looking forward to seeing my Christ soon. I hope you see Him for who He is, dear. Blessings. I want you to know who is Saving You. Rescuing You. HE Loves You. Forever. hence this note to you, and an opportunity to use this venue to serve you for eternity. Blessings from Christ.

    For the boat. It seems the fishing line was fouling the port screw. I feel that first one went into the water to untangle it and he got into trouble and was floundering. Then the 2nd man jumped in to rescue the first. He also got into trouble somehow, and he jumped in. At that point the men probably managed to rescue each other, but the boat was still sailing on and was still underway and left them far from shore and they drown. The sails were still up and this is indicative that the sailboat was still underway as evidenced by the photos upon discovery.
