Awesome video, I took the same route on my trip through Myanmar. It seems most people fly into Mandalay and take the boat down to Bagan, which was great for us getting a whole empty boat to our selves on the way up to Mandalay. Beautiful country and beautiful people...was maybe my best part of Southeast Asia.
Very beautiful especially how shiny everything looks! Glad you decided to make video. You guys really got lucky to have a boat all to yourself. Can’t wait for next video!!!
In many countries that you have visited ,something i keep on hearing is " this was the last royal palace before the British invaded " which gives you an idea how many kingdoms that Brits have destroyed
I really like Mandalay and beforehand I didn't know what to expect I'm not normally a massive city lover either. It's so fun exploring burma without the massive tourist numbers you get in Thailand now.
You should visit to pyinoolwin town. Pyinoolwin town is not far from mandalay. From mandalay to Pyinoolwin about 1 and half hours by car. Pyinoolwin has national zoological gardens. You should visit if you have time. Welcome to myanmar. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
@ 7:19 you're right, that was a single bed, as well as a long seat for the royals. Look small as Burmese were very short people back in the day. A little card on that saying "don't sit or climb on it". Burma was under British rule for well over a century up until the 4th of January 1948, the day they officially received independence from Britain. You guys are lucky, already been to places that I like to visit ages ago. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👍
There is one structure of the palace survived the bombing of the second world war. "Shwe nan daw kyaung" located in Ava. The building is a marvelous showcase of Burmese sculpting art of the Konebaung dynasty, and all structures and buildings were made of teak. I could only imagine the beauty of the palace back then. The bomber destroyed a piece of history.
Are the "sparkly" bits of the temples made with mirror (glass) tiles or maybe metallic tiles? They're quite dazzling. The boat trip, and having the boat all to yourselves, was amazing.
Hi, I truly enjoy your travel vlogs. In Mandalay your videos were different and extraordinary clear. What camera and model were you using? Can you share. Thank you and keep the travel going...you and Carol.
I hope, at some point, you take some time off from travelling! Just so you each can chill out & have some time off with family or wherever you find peace & familiarity!💙💜💚🌍🌎🌎

This video only portrays the beautiful side of Myanmar. How about all the rubbish, rats, cockroaches, paan stains, dog shit, stray dogs, bad hygiene, and poor sanitation? I'm here in Myanmar now, so watching this looks so one sided.

I think Mandalay has unique architecture as well!
Are those made out of real glass tiles? Mesmerizing in person I bet 🤩...and so fancy you got the boat all to yourselves!
Yes, all real glass tiles
And you also explore the incredible city of Mandalay?

Wow, thanks for coming to our Mandalay. BTW, how do you about Myanmar beer. 😁
IS the ceiling true GOLD or golden paint?
In the old times, it was all real gold. But now, it is just gold painting.
You said you traveled from Bagan to Mandalay by boat?
When will you go back bro & sis? If you don’t mind, I’d like to meet you guys @ coffe shop or somehwere nice in yangon when you get back to yangon.

By the way which soft wear do u use for editing ??
Adobe premier pro 👌
I recently subscribed but havent seen what backgrounds both of you have. Carol definitely not the same background as you.
I am half Brazilian and half English and Carol is Brazilian
Winning but also sad as that means tourism must be way down.
What is at the top of the white pagodas?
We call it ထီးတော်. It is just decorated gold umbrella where we hang small bells and gold leaves. Diamond is attached at the top of the umbrella.
Ye Tun thank you! what is the significance of the bells? It seems the shape of the pagodas look like bells

@@vegandemon5569 About why most pagodas have bell shaped bodies, that I cannot explain. I also clueless.
Ye Tun ancient technology utilizing frequency for energy, the true knowledge of the past has been erased and hidden by academia
