Hey Mike, you likely won't remember, but we lived beside your "Grandma Gertrude Warner" and husband Les back in the day. We were all star-struck when you visited and always followed your work. You guys did some of the best blues-based stuff in the day. Thanks for the great music! Still love your music to this day.

This was from a time when Toronto was still cranking out absolute brilliance; just a few years after The Band had gone south to Dylan, and these guys were burning up the TO bar circuit like no one else... Saw them live at a high school when I was just a kid; they were one of the many reasons back then that I dedicated my life to (crime), er, music... ;)

You rocked Toronto! All Canadians ! Whisky Howell, downchild blues, the hawk, the band,! Lots of excellent hotels and great bands who didn't rock with Johnny and teenage head! Great days! I wore out my fist stink and went out and bought another! Thanks a million!!! Loved you guys!

That was great! You guys really inspired us young want to be musicians. I'm not young now. But I still play the guitar and listen to your music. I'm 67 years old, I think I was maybe 14 or 15 when my friends and I were buying your albums. I'm guessing you must be older than me. I remember why we loved this record. I'm going to post it to all my old friends and revive it! Thank you man!

One of my favourite albums, also, the second album I ever bought (heard the single on the radio). At the time, I always thought the lead was a steel guitar - like the Misunderstood who became Juicy Lucy, never thought it could be slide guitar, even being so bluesy...well, I was young!😂

My intro to the blues when I was 12 or 13 yrs old. Someone was alway punching a quarter into the jukebox at Main Street pool hall ( Main and Gerrard) and often as not it would be MMM or Canned Heat that was played.
