This kind of music makes me feel like writing stories isn't enough. I need to sink into the pages and live them.
It's heartbreaking that such a thing isn't possible yet, in this world. I hope that when I die, my afterlife will be these songs and an eternity of adventure.
I have been to the afterlife. Many habe had NDEs. This I can promise you, there will be many adventures ahead as you experience eternal lives and grow in truth, love, and light. Our growth is measured in light, thats the first thing youll notice on the other side, everyones light is different. You will feel peace, great love, and peace from leaving the worlds cares behind. If i could share just one thing, it would be to love more. Invest in those around you. The things that entertain us, hobbies and such, are meaningless and carry no value. But the connections you make, thats where treasure lies. Its the greatest progressor for the angels of heaven as they visit worlds upon worlds, ascending and descending ajacobs ladder to and from the highest heaven. You are an angel of light, you have always been and will always be eternal. Enjoy your life review, the lord will be with you, and youll be surprised by his love, his humility, and his non judgmental feeling he gives you. Its amazing to watch how you affected others, for good or bad. Chance meetings long forgotten about that inspired that person to do something meaningful without your knowledge. I absolutely LOVE it but would someone PLEASE explain to me what in the world it has to do with "dragons, wizards, fairies, elves, knights and demons?" And what do the visuals have to do with the music? When I hear it I see mountains, oceans, waterfalls, volcanoes and other natural wonders, not bizarre creatures!

gdouglas999: Age, upbringing and popular cultural references. There's your explanation. But you're right in your implication. Modern humans are so locked in their heads that most of them only find wonder in imaginary worlds, whilst miracles unfold right under their noses.

Is it weird that this calm, beautiful type of music inspires me more than any loud or “motivational” music ever could? Something about the tones and the melodies just mix together and calm my brain, no matter what I’m working on. I’ve had the most productive hours of my life with this music in the background. I spent most of my life walking in the valley of darkness and I’m happiest when I’m saddest. I am almost always alone even when I’m moving forward. Even when others would have despaired and gave up, I moved on. It isn’t strength of will that moves me but the singular will to keep moving and burying my emotions daily that keeps me alive. I hide it all in a solid steel vault of sheer will. I pray no one else has to live like this, hell is paradise in comparison.

When ever i listen to this. I just feel every moment i lived in my life flow back to me. All what was good and all what was bad blending in like Ying and Yang. Sadness rising because since i got my shackles my life was over, dropping out on school eventually not being able to work anymore. Living in the shadows.. alone..in your mind.

I used to listen to this every other week while writing stories set in imaginary lands. It's been so long, and now that I'm hearing it again, the nostalgia hits me. Again, i'm listening to this amazing soundtrack while writing on my novel, hoping to be one day a famous writer.

As an author with a great appreciation for dramatic music, which always helps me to compose my works in exactly the mood I need them, this exactly mix is going to help me do SO much of my writing once I finish my current work. Right now I'm on a book which fits well with techno-beats music, but my next one fits this ridiculously well. I cannot wait to start if it means listening to this on repeat!
This mix makes me think about my dad who had died 5 years ago July 1st 2011 unexpected in my house Friday morning in my bed with the light on and he was supposed to take us to his job because he would never leave me or my brother at home alone so he decided to takes us to his job at Taco Bell and we sometimes eat tacos and he would always feed us because he loves us so much but now since he has been gone we have to take care of ourselves

I had lost all hope that there weren't any composers who wrote beautiful pieces of music that were not soundtracks to movies and hearken back to the composers of old. Hope springs anew in my soul! It cries out joyously that indeed! There are composers who write beautiful pieces of music that makes my mind and heart soar. I have loved this kind of music all my life and while I will listen to rock, hip pop, country and rap, THIS type of music is and always will be my first love. Thank you to all the composers and thank you Epic World Music for posting them all together. I am in heaven!

The sword seemed to fall as time slowed, descending upon her armored stomach, easily piercing through. She thought back to the start of the war, her mother, her sister, both waiting for her to return victorious. They would always wait for her, she knew that much, they would wait for her even when she could never return. The battle had seemed so important, defending the world against evil, but now... There were more important things to be thought of. She could feel the cold metal of the blade pressed against her flesh, slipping into the skin. And she felt a wave of relief, a strange peace at the knowledge that she would have to kill no more. The pain became unbearable, tearing at her lung, making it impossible to breath, shredding through her quiet resolve and stoic nature, reducing her to screams and tears. The tears and blood fell onto the dirt, watering the earth with the spoils of death, and her heart was silent.

Her heart was in her throat. Her arms were bloody from the battle. Her legs were weak from the wound she had thanks to a ruthless, full-out encounter with the soulless dragon. Her. The dragon slayer. The one who had saved her family, her friends, her people. She had saved everyone. But she couldn't even save herself.
She was dying.
Brimming with tears, her eyes floated to the infinite blue above her, where nothing was ever certain, where all you had to do was sigh and breathe in the hurt and betrayal of this life and many others to come. She was almost coming home, to that sky where she belonged, to that sky that had claimed her so very long ago, ever since she came to be.
In that sky, where her destiny had been laid out perfectly like a map.

this light you felt one time, you remember right? you want to feel it again. so this time you want it to take you to the place you've been imagining that incredible place you've been creating and craving for. just for 1 minute, not even 1 minute just one second is enough for you to see that place you've dreaming of. you really have to see it. the time holds you back but your soul just craves more and more for it you feel so light and your soul is still pushing forward, you ofcourse want to see that place with open eyes and you really want to feel the life. and take the effort to look at every tiny object every sign of life. thats that moment your soul lets go of your body and the time youve been looking at? it stopped.
its moving on without you.
that was the moment you departed.

He could not move an inch without feeling like he had broken every single bone. For some time he lay, before, to his discomfort, he made a final effort, and pushed himself off the ground, crying out. Finally he barely stood on his feet, and held an arm to his ribs, then limped across the field and onto the podium where the body of Rituveccus lay, bloody and limp, after which a pool of his own blood surrounded him. Then, easing himself forward onto the steps at the front, he kneeled and rolled Rituveccus onto his backside. What he saw then was difficult for him to comprehend:
His only father’s face was pale, cold and deathly. His eyes stared blankly at the starlit sky, unmoving, blinking not. A tear swelled up in Valbor’s eye, and for what seemed like hours he wept, not even bothering to wipe the tears from his eyes. He lay there, holding Rituveccus tightly, until finally the sun slowly began to rise in front of him, almost blinding him. He then noticed that the pain he had felt hours before had now drained away, and he felt refreshed again. He looked up, and still there was no one in sight; at least for the moment.

"M-mom..", I whispered, silent tears making their way down the sides of my face.
~My vision grew darker as I laid there and cried, the all too familiar sound of a flat line ringing throughout my ears. I gripped her hand and kissed her nose, hoping she would wake up even though I knew it was impossible, for this isn't a fairy tale. She wouldn't wake from her supposed eternal slumber with a kiss from her one true love.
This cycle was all too familiar. A cycle, involving life and death. A cycle known as none other than... Reality.
~ I've always been so focused on others stuck in this cycle, that I never had stopped to think, not once. But now, just maybe, I might've been caught within? That maybe, I wasn't as immortal as my foolish six-year old self thought. I didn't ever think reality would've caught up to me.
~TRIGGER WARNING~
I opened my eyes, hearing choked sobs bounce off the walls of this cavern, amplifying the noise, filling to the brim. Sharpened blade dancing across skin, trailing beads of crimson behind. Larger, the beads would grow, bursting and spilling over the edge, pooling on the floor. It was wrong, it was all wrong. I was numb, I grew older and the feeling of guilt still remained, even after being emptied. Like a doughnut, others had carved a hole in me. Leaving me to bake in the oven and get burned, leaving behind scars that only reminded me of who I really was. Happiness left me and I had become plagued with the feeling of being numb.
The smell of anesthetic filled my nose, making me cringe. I remembered. I remembered. He left me, to burn in this oven.
I made one more slit along my neck as I heard the monitor beep unsteadily, a noise that had once calmed me. I knew it was time.
My love would never come and give me the kiss to wake me from an oncoming eternal slumber. He left.... me.
I laid back down on the hospital bed, tucking my gown in and watching the stain grow larger by the second. I closed my eyes, waiting for slumber to envelop me. The sound of the monitor beating rapidly and the light patter of shoes in the distance was all I heard. White filled my vision, closing in before I was placed inside. I waited for the permanent scar to be made.
I smiled when I felt the warmth begin to spread from my lips, realizing, life could be a fairy tale if I wanted it to be. I felt the warmth of the wet drops on my shoulder. I have been filled. Never have I felt more alive. But the heat had already cut to far. The permanent scar was already being made. The sound of the all too familiar flat line whispered in my ears.

The damage had already been done. Reality was no more. A fairy tale was a choice I could've made. The filling and the scar was permanent.

dont listen to this if your depressed, listen to something more euphoric, listen to something that makes you believe you are more than what you think, music so euphoric that makes you believe that you are a happy person just for being able to listen to it. those tracks are very sad, they will just push you down in your depression. try some euphoric trance or other thing :) those tracks are fucking art but they make me depressed even tho im happy right now :D
