  • Check out this tutorial video bout lift well pressurization system design calculations or elevator pressurization system design calculations in Urdu, where I break down how to design a Pressurization System using an Excel Sheet. The goal of this system is to stop smoke and hazardous gases from getting into the elevator hoistway through doors. We achieve this by pumping fresh air into the lift well. Why? Well, it's all about maintaining high pressure in the lift well, especially during a smoke and fire. This ensures a safe way out for people and also protects the electronic equipment of the elevator in the building. Whether you're a seasoned engineer or a curious learner, this video will provide valuable insights into the design process. Watch now to enhance your understanding of elevator pressurization systems!

    Very nice video Sir. Thank you so much.
    Could you please also explain if possible,
    1. The velocity to be considered while designing stair case duct/lift well duct and lift lobby duct.
    2. Can you please explain the calculations of lift lobby exhaust.
    3. Also if possible can you please explain one design of stair case duct or lift lobby/well duct and its esp calculations for fan selection. A short explanation video will also be ok.
    4. Is there any insulation or coating or painting on the ducts.
    5. Is the Smacna standard same applied for these ducts.(Duct guage etc).
    6. Is this a fire rated duct or normal G.I. duct will be Ok.
    7. In which case we use centrifugal fan and in which case we use for axial flow fans for pressurisation systems.

    I think you forgot to discuss the stack effect. The pressure is effected by stack effect. The stack effect is more pronounced in the winter. When it’s cold outside, the stack effect creates about 4 pascals of pressure for every floor of the building. In the summer, this drops to 1.5 pascals per floor.Stack effect is a result of different air densities inside and out of a building that cause the pressure distribution of air in a building to be different from that outdoors.

      If you have any working about stack affect with any reference document then share with me on email. I will review and revise this video, if I satisfied with your working.

      Sir Staircase pressurization is triggered by fire alarm panel so how many detector has to be activated for starting pressurization.

    • @TanweerAhmed
      @TanweerAhmed  6 месяцев назад

      Anyone smoke detector activation then fan shall be start because fire or smoke can be happen anyone location and staircase is for throughout building.

    Why ceiling not considered here?

    • @TanweerAhmed
      @TanweerAhmed  6 месяцев назад

      Because lift well level is 5 floors and only one top floor has roof. If consider one floor ceiling or roof then cracking area to be 0.002 which is minor, therefore I have no considered. Moreover, I have informed this reason in this video.
