Florian held his own against the incredible Jeff Monson in no-gi match. Don't assume every blackbelt from Brazil could do the same. Vitor Ribeiro is just on another level.
Quite literally a "rude awakening" for Kenny. Would not face a guy like shaolin in the gi if I were an MMA specialist. Of course Kenny would completely obliterate all the morons trolling him here ( myself included ).

Shaolin is a legend! The man went toe to toe with Royler Gracie and lost by one point and Royler was in his prime. The man has wins against Leo Vieira and Fernando "Terere" Augusto De Silva(Terere has two wins over Marcelo Garcia including a submission) in their primes. His teammates were Robson Moura and Leo Dos Santos. This is God Tier. Florian had no business in their with that inferior gi game! Florian's skills are like a white belt to that man. Kenny needs a head check, what did he think he had to offer against Shaolin? What experience? What tournaments had he won or super matches. Who in the top ten or even top 50 had he beaten? The arrogance to believe he could or had anything to in his arsenal to compete with this man. That match was hilarious! Well, if there are points for "Courage in t he face of Disaster" then Florian gets those points!
No brain damage from getting choked and losing consciousness for a few seconds. Holding a choke too long would be bad but these guys are pros and have probably been choked out 1000 times.
