This legitimately might be one of the worst defensive performances ever… Wake Forest only had the ball for 17 minutes and still managed to score 63 points 😳
the fact that we had a regulation game that ended in a 70-56 score, and a 9OT game that ended in a 20-18 score (Illini-PSU), in the same day is hilarious
I love to watch a good defensive battle, where every point is fought for and earned. But every now and then it's nice to experience a frenzied offensive shootout.
That's what makes the game interesting. Based upon the teams' strategies and the way the game goes you could see anywhere from just a few to a ton of points scored.
Too bad you weren't around for the Georgia Tech - Cumberland game that ended with GT winning 222-0. Yes, 222 points. No first downs, either. (Cumberland always went 3 and out, every time GT touched the ball, they got a touchdown.)
I'm pretty sure that's to emphasize and represent the Team nature of being in the Army - it's about working together on and off the battlefield. And someone please get rid of that @#$% Bot above........
This game ended in regulation and was only 20 points shy of the A&M/LSU game that went into 7 overtimes, which as we all know was before the “2 pt conversations after 3 OT” rule... a regulation game only 20 points shy of a 74-72 game that went into 7 OTs
With the Penn State-Illinois 9OT game Saturday - I learned about the new rule. That means that unless there's dozens and dozens of overtimes, that 74-72 game score will never be broken (unless it's in regulation)
Fr I have no idea what game he was watching. The worst part tho is on a fourth down attempt by Army the camera randomly cut away and showed the crowd as the play was happening 😅
When a team needs to score 70 to beat Army, that's an interesting story. 🤔 What'll be even more interesting is if Wake Forest wins the ACC. Lol! And they did it giving up 56 points a game. 😂
does the ACC network have those really nice cameras or is that Army? those were closeups after the touchdown were NFL level, looked like I was watching clips from Madden
And that was all on the holder, which I assume is the backup QB. Should've been an easy TD if he doesn't throw a slant pattern on a wheel route. You could tell the receiver was on a post and you could see the safety cheating over for the slant, which left the post route even more wide open. Just a bad, bad play by that guy.
a disgusting amount of holds that should've been called on Wake Forest were missed in this game. You can see an obvious call almost every passing touchdown by them
A) Army is not a bad team. They can play with the big boys at times. B) Old Dominion, Norfolk State, Florida State, Virginia, Louisville, Syracuse...only Virginia of those teams has done much this year.

Well, in all fairness, $800 billion only buys you three hammers, at DOD costs.

This is especially crazy since the Triple Option is notorious for eating up clock and decreasing the amount of possessions each team gets.

Ironic that the clip title is "Defense was optional" when it was a defensive pick 6 that was the deciding factor in the game.
Clemson can only dream this year to have this kind of offensive output
If it wasn't for those two Turnovers by Army...I could easily of seen this going into OT with 70-70
Imagine if any of these two schools had a mascot that did pushups after every score. Lol🥵💪
Let's just have the safeties play as edge rushing linebackers
I love how the one announcer doesn’t say anything the whole game until just “oh my goodness” 😂
A Wake - Ol Miss game would be fun.
"Defense was optional" - yeah Wake Forest's pick six and fumble rec. had nothing to do with why they won by exactly 14 points...
This reminds me of Baylor vs West Virginia several years ago; West Virginia won 70 to 63 with Geno Smith throwing for 8 TDs!
As an NC State fan, I'd have never imagined Wake sitting at 7-0 or 8-0. Crazy year in the acc
Man the only thing worse than the defense was the camerawork. Jesus.
West Coast Colleges do these scores in their sleep weekly. In fact, on the West side they spot both side 30 points before the game starts.

Army had a top ten defense in the country.
I think this game may have changed that…
This was similar to the BYU v Virginia game last night, no defense, and over 1100 yards of offense with both teams combined!
This is so crazy, and there was not any overtime to boot. I have seen college basketball games with lower points scored than this.
“Defense?”
“We don’t do that here.”

Wake forest tried to give Army this game and they just didn't take advantage of the opportunity.
As a Wake fan, I honestly thought we were gonna lose by ~30, so could be a lot worse.
Anyone know the army qb’s stats?

The difference in passing skill definitely won WF this game. That fake field goal was a great play just took too long to develop. Great game.
800 billion defense budget and this the best they can do smh
Army had a receiver go for over 100 yards and they *STILL* lost. Damn, that’s rare!
