    Great review. I’ve just purchased this and waiting on it.
    I probably have too many rackets now, so need to pick and stick with one.
    I’m male, 32, very physically strong and fit, had slight rotator cuff issues. Heavy topsin forehand and two handed backhand (sometimes spin sometimes flatter).
    So I currently have in order of purchasing:
    - Head extreme mp 2022 (Too much pop and not enough accuracy on servers), overgrip and lead at 12 - 1.5 grams
    - Head extreme tour 2022 (Bit less forgiving on my backhand which is developing), lead at 3/9, 10/2, 12 with an overgrip
    - Solinco whiteout 18x20 (less spin on the forehand, but has potential, currently string at 51/49 rpm blast)
    - Head speed pro 2022 (Bit heavy probably, felt rotator cuff a little)
    - Now head speed legend mp 2024 (not tested yet)
    Mostly strung with rpm blast 52/50
    If you have any recommendations on what you think could be best for me, or if I should try a different modification or one with lead ect would be great, I want to stop buying rackets now haha

      Hahahah. It’s an addiction 😁. It seems like you want control and spin. Perhaps demoing some of the 16 X 20 rackets on the market would be of interest at heavier weights. Maybe Babolat Pure Strike 100 16x20, Head Gravity MP, or Tecnifibre TFight 305. Those three should offer a blend of control to tame your strain as well as good spin potential. If you live near any of our walk-in store locations, we also have a trade-in program where we can buy back all of your old equipment for credit towards new rackets. Check us out in store 👍

    OMG, I’ve been patiently waiting for a video on these new Legends! I currently use the 2024 Speed MP and love it! I know you mentioned they’re the same, but did you experience any difference in feel or playability due to the change from velvet to gloss paint? Or do they play and feel the same? Thanks in advance!

    It looks so much better than the standard black & white (skunk) 2024 Speed. But, it's not even close to the racquet specs that Djokovic uses. When it comes to poly strings, I see nearly everyone stringing at about 52 lbs. I find that to be very uncomfortable. Do you think it would play well strung with a poly at 42-45 lbs.? As poly strings last only about 15 hours of play time and will become bagged if you don't play, are they really a good choice for recreational players?

    • @SolowSports
      @SolowSports  7 месяцев назад +1

      String is based more on player performance goals instead of ability. Depending on if you are seeking power, control, spin, durability, feel, etc. Let us know what you want to maximize in your game and we can make a suggestion.

      @@SolowSports Thanks. Due to elbow issues, I've been playing with Head Velocity MLT 16 ga. natural string. I am getting used to its feel and there is no question about the comfort and decent spin. I've slowly been lowering and/or increasing the tension which varies from racquet to racquet. As a recreational player, I am not interested in using different main and cross strings. I really prefer syngut but it slides too easily. To remedy that I've been trying racquets like the Gravity Team with 16x20 patterns and am finding that I can hit flat serves and groundies best with that string pattern. I am planning on sticking with Velocity string for a while.

      I use a blade 98 right now as well. My one gripe is that it seems to have such a small sweet spot. I play 3.5 level so mistakes still happen often enough. Was going to give this one a try with it being 100sq in to hopefully limit my mistakes.

    • @ER_aka_RAM
      @ER_aka_RAM 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@rouajohn Hey! Hopefully this helps as I’ve spent the past 6 months demoing heaps of racquets. The Speed MP was at the top of my list in March after playing a fresh/new demo in a USTA Tournament while I was in Florida… I literally had 10min to warm up as the batch of racquets arrived the night before! Crazy, I know… but I figured what better scenario could you get to demo a stick you’re going to compete with(?!)
      At any rate, I aligned the Speed on top of my Pure Drive 98 and it’s an interesting 100sq head, as the difference is only in the bottom end of the hoop. About 1/2” more or less, but the head shapes were very close. Everything until 6 o’clock lined up with the 98sq PD, but a night and day hitting experience. I know we’re on Solow’s stage, but TW University has the tools to see differences of the power distribution H2H with almost any available racquet and various generations. When I played the 16x19 with a full bed of multifilament, I felt underpowered and struggled with big hitting friends and competitors… Fast forward, I gave it another shot with the 18x20 and the specs were just shy of what felt like it was a match… I ended getting both models and had them customized to the same specs, etc and now I’m path to building my game with the Blade v9’s.
      Just an FYI: the new Blade 100 v9 is a fantastic racquet, but in my opinion and experience while demoing (again, brand new with a fresh bed of ALU Power @53lbs) with more experienced players made me realize that it’s probably the best 100sq inch platform frame available. It really lacked plow and any usable power… but I had it along with the VCORE100, and it was that week I realized 300g frames were just a bit too light for me.
      I would definitely recommend reaching out to Solow to demo the Speed MP, Blade 100, and the 18x20.
      You won’t be 3.5 forever, so go with what you can comfortably swing against heavier hitters. The Speed MP is so interesting because it’s got that 327-330 SW, but in a 300g stick, and as you can tell I’m huge fan of it 🤙🏽

      @@orestiszapranis1155 You have to be very careful on ONLINE SPECS. They may be for 1 racket that measured. For example a sample of the 2022 may have had a SW of X and a sample of the Legend may have had a SW of Y but thats only for the 2 very rackets that a company measured. I prayed to the Lord Jesus, as a Christian man to show me a racquet that would help me as I've made some bad decisions with racquets and having played tennis all my life I wasn't happy playing against a very good player and I felt letting myself down with bad play. Looking at the Head Galaxy the courts gave me a demo racquet and sent me to an extreme topspin player and that 270g racquet couldn't handle the extreme topspin, finally it was in my mind to look at the Head Speed MP (300g) I just used it again yesterday and with a going to low trajectory preparation the topspin is easy and very effective and my standard with this racquet has gone to higher than I've been able to play before and feel I'm not afraid to play against any style with this Head Speed MP 300g racquet and I won't be changing it (strung to 48psi with Babolat RPM Blast black strings also a good match for the racquet) You're right about this racquet it's exceptional and we can see how it comes off your racquet so very well backhand or forehand and yes the kicker serve is easy to do with this racquet. A lot of words by me but this racquet deserves it, it is exceptional.
