When I make my sticker sheets, I use Starcraft laminating sheets, both glossy and matte. To kiss-cut the stickers, I use a custom setting of 238 pressure, and only cut once. If I want to make die-cut stickers, I use 238 pressure and tell it to cut 2x. I leave it at default pressure. It works perfect every time. Thank you for the video, you do great work!
Hello, I was wondering if you ever got small jagged edges on your cuts? I seem to be getting them a lot and I don't know how to fix it :(
When I laminate my stickers and have my Cricut Maker cut it, I always set it to either the light cardstock and put the setting to more, or I choose the medium cardstock and put the setting to less! So far it's worked extremely well for mine ❤
How do you avoid the issue of your Cricut not being able to read the material because of the lamination? New Cricut user here lol
@@keysamn44 @Amber Keys lamination doesn't affect the Cricut reading the material, it would be just like sending a print then cut through on really shiny paper. How the Cricut reads the material and cuts effectively, is because of the black lined box around the picture printed. It uses that black box as a sensor to cut the pictures you've created perfectly. ❤️
@@raeofsunshine1514 GOTCHA! Thanks so much! :)
I did this with light cardstock setting and more pressure on my cricut maker and it still didn’t cut through enough, so I ran it through that same setting again and it worked perfect!!
@@keysamn44 I’ve seen some people put scotch tape over the black borders and it works fine if there’s laminate

Thank you for sticking to the lesson. It's so hard to find tutorials where the speaker isn't telling us their life story. your awesome and i appreciate how you dont waste our time. Im now a subscriber!
So neat how we have figured out the same process! When i cut my laminated stickers i use the cardstock setting with more pressure (:
I never thought to laminate stickers - in fact, it would be nice for so many things and not just stickers
It would! There's so many fun uses for it!
I use cardstock for intricate cuts for my cricut setting laminated stickers. it has enough pressure and automatically cuts around each design 2 times without having to press go and recut. thank you for our video
It's a self adhesive laminate. It's instead of... heat or machine to bond together. Its got adhesive on. Machines are used to bond separate sheets together. You don't need them when it's already on and stuck together.
No, you don’t need it. But, running it through in the cold setting provides a good amount of even pressure to help get any remaining air out, and also helps to get rid of that “haze” that can be left from pressing sheets together with adhesive. It’s not to help it adhere.
You are the first person out of many that has actually sold me on buying this machine after watching for years and getting others to my stencils! lol knowing there are so many hacks to try outside of the box lol! You should be a sales trainer!
Omg!! I’m SO glad they are helpful!!! 💗
Any updates on how the laminated stickers lasted?
Thanks for the tutorial!
This is very cool! And that laminator is such a great price. I love online labels. I’m in Canada so shipping is a LOT but even including shipping, the labels are the best price per sheet. The matte is my favourite and feels high quality and has a nice colour payoff. Totally recommend.
Thank you so much. I have been struggling to find the right setting for stickers with a laminate sheet over it. I used the magnetic sheet as you suggested and put more pressure and it finally worked for die cut (what I want) instead of kiss cut (what I was getting before).
Love this video! This has helped me A BUNCH with making my stickers look flawless! Thank you so so much!
Kayla, I’m so glad I found your RUclips channel! Love your instructions and projects!!!!❤️❤️❤️
I know this is a older video but I saw this last night, and checked offerup right after and I found the same exact laminator for $10 so I picked it up. Haven't tried it yet, hope it works. I have wanted to make stickers for a long time but didn't know how to make them waterproof, going to try and make stickers now. Will check out your other video. By chance any link to a manual? Mine didn't have it, or even a box.
THANK YOU! This laminate process has been a struggle to figure out for me! This video solves all my issues! Thank you!! 💗🙌
Hi Kayla - did you ever do a follow up for the water proof test? :D. Thanks for this great video!
The Mylar setting on default pressure works well for cutting laminated stickers.
65lb card stock, is what I’ve used to cut out laminated stickers. I use Oracal 651 in clear. If I don’t want to cut the backing out, just printable stickers, setting still works well. I’ve found.
A lot of good tips. thank you
I have some album cover stickers that I would love to preserve. This was very helpful.
I use the stencil 4 mm setting on double cut. Works great!
This is good info. I’ll have to try it. I’m anxious to hear how it holds up.
To get kiss cut on the cricut explore 2 i set it to Vinly or Glitter Vinyl iron on it will keep the backing on. To do dye cut on cardstock setting
Thank you!! So helpful! :)
Oooo thank you! Just the info I was looking for
I’ve been using the heavy card stock cut option and have had great results
I actually just got my cricut explore air 2 and I can actually laminate the whole sheet and the cricut cuts it just fine.
I also use the 0.5mm magnetic setting on my Cricut Air 2 cutter. Works very nice. Only issue I had is keeping the laminate sheet inside of the reference lines. Also I found out that you can't use separate pieces of laminate, it has to be one sheet or you confuse the cutter.
An friend of mine told me to use Matte tape on top of of the line since vinyl paper shines too much
I have tried it with the post it setting in custom and it worked for me.
Thanks!! :)
Any recs on how to get good at laminating? I keep getting air bubbles and it ruins my whole sheet :(. I use glossy waterproof paper and it is truly waterproofed but I feel like they feel nicer when they are laminated. Is it even worth for me to laminate them if they’re already waterproof?
Thanks for sharing this video.
Today I used Poster + with a deep cut blade and worked perfectly🎉
How did the waterproof with over time?😮
If people find it does not cut right through you can just edit the setting and choose it to cut even deeper but using precise settings to cut
Hey there! I use the same sticker paper and laminate - do you ever notice a jagged or raised edge with using the laminate? I’m not sure why my stickers have this edge (kind of a beveled edge) thanks!!!
I have the same issue with edges
I used to trim around my registration marks. But the cricket didn’t know how to handle it and it would not cut correctly. Everyone in the online Facebook page says not to trim around the registration marks, and I haven’t had an issue since. I’m honestly surprised that this has worked for you maybe it didn’t work after an update or something?
I use the exact same Avery laminating sheets and printable vinyl and I use the poster setting on my explore air 2 with fine point blade and it cuts it just fine. I didn't see poster plus on mine(idk if that's just a setting for the maker)I also used it to laminate business cards.. I just got my maker a couple of weeks ago and haven't used it yet to make stickers. Oh I wanted to add I put the laminated sheet inside of the black registration lines just incase it couldn't read it
Awesome! You can choose the poster board on your dial on the explore air 2 and move it to the dot above it and that would make it poster board + that is good to know that worked! :) That's exciting! I love my Maker. :)
@@KaylasCricutCreations thank you. I never noticed that. I usually just leave it on custom so I don't forget to change the dial each time. Bc I know me, I would forget! Thank you so much😊
I have been using target's sticker paper..thanks for your video's
Hi I put my settings on cardstock and it works really good.
How do people on TT who mass produce stickers with cricuts do this? It seems like it’s a little time consuming to do bulk printer. It’s looks cool to stickers for yourself or small qty.
i loved the cricut printable vinyl but then i used Joyeza sticker paper it’s much cheaper and works just as good! and it’s waterproof
Awesome!! Thanks! :) Do you buy it from Amazon?
@@KaylasCricutCreations yup! Amazon is where i get everythiny
Just placed an order for the Joyeza paper.
So have you tested these stickers outside for long periods of time? how does the color hold up? Im trying to make a sticker store for car stickers that would be outside like, 100% of the time. Wondering if this UV laminate is enough for long term outdoor life on stickers
These are very cute! My kids would love to make their own stickers!
Thanks so much for such a great tutorial my stickers turned out great!
Omg this helped me so much. Thank yoi
Hi Kayla! Do you have a tutorial for making bookmarks with the Cricut?
How many microns for that laminating sheet
Omg you are the best! Now I’m going to order some stuff & try it out. Thank You 😊
I want to try your setting. I currently cut my stickers with Poster Plus, and it works great but it would still be cool to see if there is something better
You save the scraps but how do you use those because it is for a print and cut
I was thinking the same cos it wouldn’t go in my printer
Thank you
Thank you for this great video. I gave it a try today and made stickers. Just gotta figure out how to get the backing off better. Any suggestions?
Have you ever tried to make double-laminated die-cuts?? Where is it laminated not just on both sides but completely waterproof??
Great video, but how are you doing this without creating bubbled or trapping dust? I always somehow end up with something stuck between the laminate and sticker
Do you recommend laminating over using Oracal 651 transparent vinyl for weatherproofing?
Hello just wondering the size of stickers that you make , like 2x2 and up s that average size Thanks
Do you have to have a laminator to use laminating sheets? It looks as if they are supposed to stick. I bought the kit that cricket makes for waterproof stickers, and the instructions are not clear. Just wondering if there is another step that requires another piece of equipment.
does laminating the stickers make them waterproof i can stick them to cups?
is there anything else but the curling problem for using hot lamination? like, will it damage the stickers or make the prints bleed on the edges?
i use the Avery lamination clear sheets, and bought a lamination machine that goes hot withing two mins,
kinda scared to use it on my stickers so i wanted to make sure.
what's the difference with this method against a ready glossy sticker foil and print on it?
Love your channel I learn so much
Thank you!! I'm so glad!! :)
I use poster board setting!
Is this waterproof for like water bottles
Do you have any issues with the edges cutting jagged? I've seen a few comments about this on other pages but I can't find a fix for it. My stickers have cut with jagged edges from day 1 and I've tried multiple settings, more pressure, custom pressure, 2X cut, but they all still have jagged edges :(
I’m having the same problem! 🥲 did you figure it out? I use online labels weatherproof matte and then a sled adhesive laminate. It seems to get a bit better with less pressure but then a lot of times it won’t cut all the way.
Do you have to change your blade from fine point to cut the laminated stickers?
does this laminate stand up to heat and not crinkle up?
Hi.. does it also apply for name tags? Like putting it in the clothes?
Great video! Thank you so much!
You are so helpful!! Thank youuuu! Although, I tried this method and my cricut scans and gets stuck on the scan? Spits my mat back out 😫 any suggestions?
I wonder if something is covering the black registration lines? Also sometimes the lighting can affect it. It actually might work to lower the lights or turn the lights on which seems strange but it’s worked for me before lol
This same thing happened to me. What you need to do is put clear matte tape over the scan lines! Works perfectly everytime.
Thank you 🙏
Do you use laminate over glossy paper or Matt?
Hi, great video. The link to laminator doesn't work.
What’s the difference of laminating stickers vs getting waterproof sticker paper?
What about the laminate pockets can you do 2 sheets of stickers through laminator then cut separately
medium cardstock with more pressure
Is this water proof?
Can this work for heat transfer paper when applying to tshirts as well ?
Can I make stickers without a circuit machine?
I used the same one side laminated sheet before watching the video, but my issue is that I tried putting my sticker on my water bottle, but because of the curve of the water bottle, the sticker would pop off after a few hours, due to the lamination rigidity being stronger than the stickiness. It wants to go back to flat. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Yes i tried this some ago thank you 🐨
I have audio but no video 🥲. I do wanted to see this since I have a laminator. I'll try on my computer. Love your videos! ❤️
Oh no! I hope it works on the computer! Thank you so much. 💗💗
It did work - thanks so much 😀
@@anndunphy7264 Great!! 😀
Darn, was going to buy everything I needed to start making some cool stickers for family and friends. Once I clicked the link for the laminating machine, amazon says that it can't find the page/product. I even tried just searching for that brand on amazon and could not find anything that shows up for a lamination machine. Anyone have any ideas on where to find one of these.
So can these be placed on cups?
Thank you for all the info you have given me on the cricut. I love your videos, but I was wondering what is your take on the new cricut maker3?
Thank you!! ❤️ I haven’t purchased the maker 3 yet. I probably will soon since I like to keep up with the latest machines for my channel and I’ll see how I like it. I feel like if you’ve bought a cricut machine recently it wouldn’t be worth it to upgrade but I am curious about it and how much faster it can cut.
great video, will have to check my laminator to see it its cold. Question with the sticker it cut around sticker and you have to peel it off, but with the laminator and soon as you cut it, the all came out. This is a great well to sell stickers, but can we do that with stickers that are not laminated ? Thanks in advance for your response
Do I need a special printer to use the cricut printable vinyl?
Card stock with adhesive back…this will not cut all the way through the backing…it only works like this if your adding the clear sheet on top…otherwise it cuts all the way through.
I got the same clear self lamination sheet, but mine has lines on the sheet, what do you recommend 😩
They don't have that laminator on Amazon anymore you have a another you would recommend
Thank you for sharing.
curious - I did some just like you taught, but I needed them to stay on a sticker sheet, so I cut with Sticky Note setting. they totally botched and wouldn't peel up at all!! =( any suggestions for getting that sticky note vibe but with a thicker material like laminated vinyl??
Is there an anti UV laminating sheet on the market?
What setting for a kiss cut laminated sheet?
Whats the version of the epson printer that you use ?
Hi Kayla - I am trying to make multiple laminated bag tags. The tag is a rectangular shape. I am using the print and cut, I then laminate the whole page (laminated on both sides) and put the printed page back into my Maker to cut, this works perfectly, but I would like to have a border of the laminate around each 'sticker' so that it actually seals around the 'sticker' to make it more durable. I have not been able to find a hack or tutorial for this. I have tried creating the rectangular shape separately so that I can cut a little bigger than the actual sticker, with no luck. I hope this makes sense! I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you!
Have you tried creating an "offset" around the Rectangle in design space. This creates a border around the shape that the cricut will cut around as opposed to right on the line of the Rectangle. Select your rectangle, click offset, adjust the border size to your liking, choose rounded or straight edges and then weld (to cut) or flatten (to print then cut), depending on the design of your project! Hope this helps!
do you stickers curl overtime?
Hi! can you post the name of that laminator you got from amazon?
Hello ma'am I have a problem I have a small lamanetion machine I just purchased lamanetion roll for lamaneting PHOTO PAPER STICKER when i put the photo paper sticker in lamanetion machine the Winkles it the paper and create bubbles in it no matter how hard I try but it doesn't work I have done in hot n cold lamanetion but it doesn't work please help me out.... I don't know what to do....
Thanks for sharing! Have you tried the cardstock setting?
I did! It didn't work for me :( I've heard that works for a lot of people though.
Hi Kayla! I love your channel! I tried the Magnet setting and it sliced into my mat where each sticker was. Is it a bad idea to use the mat anymore?
This might be a bit late, but that's to be expected sometimes. It's perfectly ok
What surfaces I can use this? I’m interested in decals cars
Any idea why when I laminated it, the cricut didn't cut my stickers right? It cut them way off center?
What would be the biggest you could use? If I'm wanting to make 18" x 18" ? I know it will need to be done in sections
The biggest size it can cut is 9.25" x 6.75" I like to make a rectangle that size and place my sticker designs inside to make sure I get the most out of that size. After that it would need to be done in sections like you said. I'm really hoping Cricut will change that some day! 🤪
