- Hey maniacs Madman here with a #review and #tutorial on how to shrink my very first pair of #levi501 jeans. Being a greaser I wanted to get my very first pair of Levi 501 jeans since they were an original 1950's brand. I had fun making this video and hope you enjoy it as well. Man... I’ve been using 501’s the whole 4 years I’ve been greasing and honestly they’re the best jeans I’ve worn... I also dig the rustlers and the lees but the 501’s are almost as tough as the rustlers. Keep it up Madman!

So, Levi's are a must for me. They are more expensive, but they last forever. They really stand up to wear, tear and fading. Thanks for doing this on the channel :D

My keys tore a hole through that small pocket in my 501s. It was my fault for having the metal part pointing towards the opening of the pocket, now I make sure to point the metal part the other way. Anyway 501`s are still great. Good to have you back Madman.

All I own are 501’s and Dickies best pants ever
Try ben davis, their a little wider than dickies and their thicker and better quality
Try Wranglers. They're a good alternative to Levi's, cheaper and good quality
Owe a black color 501 jeans for about 45 bucks! The zip buttons are cool. You dig yes!
Im in no way a greaser iv been a cowboy all my life but i swear by these jeans if you need some ass kicking jeans these are the way to go i always go a 2 sized longer for a stacked look on my boots but i also cuff on occasion the that old school look

Great content as usual. I switched to 501s two years ago, the best decision I've made so far clothing-wise. They are really comfortable and look good too.

I remember In 7th grade doing this with a pair of levis my dad walked in and laughed me into shame said its the same thing if I soak em for 30-40 minutes and let em air dry.

Hey madman (or anybody else) i have a question. I’m 5’9 weigh just about 230 pounds. I have a big and tall stomach area and normal to small legs length wise. I usually wear a 34/32 Jean. How many sizes up would you recommend I go up with these jeans. I really wanna buy a pair but I don’t wanna get them and then have them not.

I love my 501's but if you gotta go don't wait too long, them buttons mite trip you up when you really have to go! Especially when they are new and not broken in yet! I also like the 505 and 550 Levi's because they are Comfortable also and have a zipper! As far as Dickies goes I love the 5 pocket jeans and the work pants! I have 2 pairs of Wrangler Jeans but they feel like a cardboard box so they sit in the closet a lot! Lol
Oh and I run about a 4 or 5 inch Cuff on the bottom! People ask me about it and I just tell them it's an old school Greaser style! :)
Last timei wore 501 was in the early 80s. Used to have to buy 1inch bigger in waist and 2inches longer and machine wash and dry and good to go. Never did any of this bs. Remember buy 3 pair for $10.00 that was early 60s

Love some Levi’s 501 denim. You are correct though, they are quite pricey now. $70 - $80 is almost a wardrobe to me! I own 2 pair. Some alternatives for those that don’t want to drop a stack on jeans:
Wrangler MWZ jeans. Great fit, tough heavy denim, and a classic look that have been popular in the Greaser community.
Lee Original Fit jeans. A classic cut that mimics the 501 fit quite well. A lighter weight denim but still quality, and for the price it’s a no brainer.
Both these alternatives run about $20-$30 bones.
I’m not a Greaser by any means. Only an old Rock & Roller who recognizes and respects the culture, influence and style of the Original Bad Boys.
Chuck Berry or Buckcherry, stay Rock & Roll out there!

I am starting highschool next year how would I start up my greaser crew?
What I did was just see if my friends were on board with any of that. I brought up facts and just quite a bit of stuff. They were all for, and that's really it. It worked for me, IDK if it will for you. Just a suggestion.
If I tried being a greaser my parents would be afraid of me but oh well I'm doing it anyway

I have a few pairs of 501s n dickies the only pants i ever wear. for anyone who dont wanna shrink the jeans get a bandanna and a bowl full of cold water with detergent and dip it in soak it and put it on your pants then put it on your pant leg evenly put it pn and iron it while ironing steam the jeans do it both sides front to back and your jeans will get super stiff again and maintain the nice denum look and not fade them also take out all the dirt and any smells just throwing it out cuz i dont like my jeans shrunk
