Decided to do a complete head setup with a trim flight. I followed ur videos and the helicopter is now flying very well...even more stable than when I first took it out of the box for its first flight. Many thanks for all you are doing for us newbies to RC helicopter flying.
Hello, and thanks for the video. I was wondering if my links are at the right length according to the manual should I have to turn them anyway to set zero pitch? Also I can use programming to set pitch on my M2. Would I be able to just use the transmitter or would I have to turn the links also? Also, I noticed I seem to have zero pitch at mid stick when I’m in idle up but not normal mode. Is this normal? Finally, my bird flies perfectly level even though I don’t have zero pitch at mid stick one in normal mode. I guess there is a difference between the swash being perfectly level and zero pitch. Am I mistaken to assume that zero pitch is most important for inverted flying and the like, hence, is that why I have close to zero pitch in idle up and what are the ramifications for not having zero pitch since the hell he seems to fly perfect. I realize I’m asking a lot of questions, but any help would be appreciated.
Thank you very much for the videos, really helped me on getting the Blade set correctly. Flying great now. Saved your video encase i need to refer to it again.
I did all this and when setting pitch my blade further away was lower & I moved links out to bring awash up n it makes blade even more lower?? Maybe try using the blade grip arrows for 0pitch. I do remember doing procedure n adjusting mat half stick, but it wasn’t in servo mode( throttle does nothing while in adjust mode as u know) so wonder if i should try again , but not in adjust mode? After work gonna try again been racking my brain over this for week now or more. If you have taken any tips ? Blade 230sv2 stock frame &!motors everything else is upgraded. Love your content . Greetings from NJ
Thank you so much for your advice it helped me out with everything I needed to know now it’s not shaking or nothing it flying really smooth and steady now thank you for helping
awesome info ! question about the links to the swash. does it matter which side of the link (plastic part) that you push onto the ball ? I've heard it should go on a certain side ?
Hi jj, I need help for 3 links of swashplate. Can you tell me the exact measure of the 3 links? Unfortunately I touched them and now the blades are bandy. Thank you
Very informative video buddy. I just bought my first 230s v2 RTF kit and I also got the RF8 Simulator with the WS 1000 Simulator dongle. I have only the dxe controller that came with the rtf kit and cant get the dxe to work with the RF8 simulator. Do you know if the dxe is even compatible with RF8? I tried to calibrate the dxe, but after I followed RF8's calibration instructions nothing happened. Really frustrated. Thanks, Jon Cardiasmenos from Concord, Ca.
Hey JJ, I can't really see your tx over there in the corner, hence I can't see your throttle stick, but when you're adjusting the pitch, are you doing so at half throttle? Also curious why you wouldn't adjust the links going from the swash to the blade grips themselves? Cheers
Brandon Gamer in servo centering mode the throttle does nothing. Adjust the swash links to get zero pitch. Links to blade grips to set tracking if they were adjustable
hello friend thanks for your videos, i bought a swashplate level tool from rakon. but i though, the marks on blade grips and head serve to set the rotor to zero pitch. or i am wrong?
Sure you can use the marks in the grips. This is my prefered method making it easier to check pitch and knowing which way to move the swash. There is more than one way to skin a cat lol
+D. Adams thanks for you words that i appreciate really. yes, this hobby can demand a lot of resources (time and money) more even in my case, I live in Honduras and I most iport helis, radio and spares. but except for a few disappointments, like rainy days, stupid crash and bad designed helis and poor quality of spares (blade 130 and his tail, mano cpx and his motor) this hobby is amazing and very rewarding the sensation of achieve things that appear impossible the first time and become easy thanks to the practice.
Bud I got it figured out my tail boom was lose I seen it move when I was hovering it in front of me so not it is flying good now but I just don’t like the motor on tail rotor I like to be able to control my tail rotor is all I’m not use to it
I've followed your video to get zero pitch. The servos are all at 90 deg, but when I lift the helicopter I get some forward flight. Is it okay to adjust the elevator servo pushrod to overcome the problem?
Now when I did what you did and I followed you in everything but when I took it outside to fly it when I flipped my switch up to 3D Mode it went backwards fast and wanted to go to the right hard and I redone everything again and now every time I flip up to 3D mode it want to almost turn on my tail boom turn left hard then it straighten’s back up but I don’t have a stock main frame I have the aluminum carbon fiber main frame dose that have something to do with it iv never had a helicopter do that and I’m new to the fly bar less helicopter I’m to use to the fly bar I started flying helicopter’s since I was 12 years old had a old Horobo shuttle then went to the raptor’s and I’m 45 years old now but did I do something wrong let me know please thank you buddy

Andy W good to hear. Have a great day
Just wanted to say thanks for all your tutorials. They have helped me no end on the long road of newbieness!!
your welcome , have fun
Thanks Jack, this was so simple and made a world of difference!

What kind of main blades is he using? I’ve been looking for some made of something other then plastic

My 230s has much more positive pitch than negative pitch. If I want some more negative pitch should I move the swash up or down?
First center the awash like the video shows. Then if you have more positive pitch adjust it in your radio
@@d12bn the DXE has no display or easy way to adjust travel. So swash up or down?
can this be done with radio in the RTF package?
when flying do you use the throttle lock ever
Throttle hold, no

this is the best heli I bought in a long time. I m just wondering can you use the AS3X receiver on different helis. i.e. 250 or 360 size helis?
Saz only if it has a tail motor
Please tell price
I forgot to tell you my helicopter is a blade 230s v2 I thought it be the same as yours since it’s a 230
if a servo isnt exactly at 50% that dont work
Did you watch the video
