🙏🙏🙏
Lovely job. TREE YEAR THE GO I Make a Long Bow whir Ash Wood is very long job
Thank you! Great!
Oh man, that is a beautiful piece. Good job once again!
Question though, what do you use for sealing your bows?
Thank you sir! On this one I used water based varnish. Sometimes I use linseed oil
I assume that hide glue is water based the same as the fish-bladder glue used in making Korean horn bows. So how do you deal with not having the handle become sticky when your hands are sweaty?
I apply the water varnish on the top of the handle and works fine
Hi I have an important question arc length usually starts from a few inches to a few inches. Also the diameter of the middle tip and the handle and its width? You can share a drawing or image
Do you have any videos regarding string making by chance? I have not been able to locate any
Looks like you need to be able to drawknife well & scrape well before even starting to build a bow!
Yes sir 👊
The locust around here is smelly wood to work. But it makes a nice bow. Yours is vary pretty. :-)
Thank you 👊👊

Hi. How many growth rings did you leave on the back and how many on the heart wood? Thanks
Single intact growth ring on the back. I used only heartwood. But I haven't checked how many overall growth rings are on the limbs
Discualpa cuanto le das de largo a casa pala y al centro amigo
Eu sou muito fã de você eu gostaria de ver você fazendo arco mongol.
Thank you brother! Perhaps in the future 🙌
@@DreamcraftBows se Deus quiser gostaria de fazer um arco tão lindo como você.
Hello, how many inches is a normal bow and how many inches is its tip?
Usually 62 - 70"
Do you know the arrowspeed? Anyhow I like that bow.
I've not measured it yet but feels fast and took not much set
@@DreamcraftBows of course there are a lot of bows in good quality to buy. But it must be very satisfying to buillt one like you did and then find out it shoots nicely. Its a kind of magic I guess.
Well done, I would rather see a wooden mallet used to drive the hatchet though. A steel hammer can cause chips and peening.
Thank you for the tip!
arrow fps?
Not measured yet
You didn't remove white sapwood from the back?
I've done it earlier - before drying the stave
@@DreamcraftBows chasing rings and everything?
I've made a few locust bows, I never removed sapwood..
Yes sir, I use only sapwood. Nice!Does it work fine?
@@DreamcraftBows yeah, never had problems with them, even after 10-15years of shooting..
Locust sapwood is like hardwood from some other species:)
OK, thanks for answering..
Your bows are beautiful, keep on rocking..
Interesting! Thanks brother, all the best!
Why would you even bother to build a bow with that low of a pull ...??
Because with traditional archery you don't need a lot of draw weight to drive a heavy arrow with a sharp broadhead through most game you're gonna hunt.
