@@j.shorter4716 the first tree I found had borers but then I got better at looking at the leaves to tell if the tree was healthy it not, at least for me in Pennsylvania it was easy to find a healthy tree
I love the Mollegabet design. It's so easy to make a longer or shorter bow and still get your full draw length with it. Beautifully done. That Locust sure is lovely wood.
I have never even heard of a Mollegabet bow before, but it's certainly interesting. This is one of the best looking bows I have seen you make, and it looks like it performs well. Great build!

Neal nice drawknife and scraper work. Well built and tillered. Interesting design with such a short bending limb section. I wonder about the long term effects if it will cause the limbs to take a set? I am sure the tempering of the belly will help with that. The shape looks like a straight Asian horn bow minus horn and sinew with the long static narrow limb ends. Can’t really call them tips at that length. Again, well done.
The oldest bow found was from Denmark too, like the Møllegabet bow. The Holmegaard bows are estimated to be from 7000 years before our time en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holmegaard_bow
Most of this style of bow have a fairly abrupt transition where the working limb meets the static limb, is there any advantage to making the transition more gradual?
@@DreamcraftBows There are some woods, but none of them are the ones that i know works. I was able to buy bambu at very low price, but everything else will be around (or more) 50 bucks for a plank.
Awesome build brother! Hands down my favorite bow! I really like the wrapped string nock tips you did on this. It really turned out beautiful man! God bless ya brother!

Have a great day guys!
This bow is on my bucket list now. I have a ton of BL staves drying right now. Thanks for a other awsome video!
It's a truly great wood! Thank you for the comment and good luck!
How hard is it to find a clean stave? I haven’t found much BL but the ones I found were infested with borers

For what do you temper the belly? Is it necessary?
It's not necessary, it helps to make bow faster
Very cool great job brother 👍🏼👊🏼
God Bless.
Thank you brother, all the best!
Beautiful bow, Bartek! Do you find it faster than other designs?
Thank you very much! Yes, it feels fast, I'm going to make chrono shooting video next week, so we'll find out!
I would be interested in knowing this too!
another great video
Thank you sir, appreciate it!
Hey friend! What type of wood you used? In Mexico the most common is pine but... It is't good enough.
Hi! I used black locust. Well, you're right pine isn't very good. Are there no other woods?

Looks kinda perfect.
Thank you!
Lovely bow, so simply constructed, but requiring much skill to do so. By the way, Black Locust will glow under a Black Light...
Thank you! Wow, have it try it!

How long did you heat it using the heat gun?
Not long, approx 15 minutes each limb
@@DreamcraftBows I’m sorry I should have been more specific. I meant how long did you heat the handle for string alignment?
Всё прекрасно, но колёсики на испытательном стенде надо смазать.

Are you at the point where you can just stay home and make bows for money? Or is it just a hobby for extra cash?
The way he strung that bow so fast it's probably a 25pounder
See shooting through chrono video - 25-pounder wouldn't be that fast
