@@rattlemespoons577 There's an entire subtext of the game about the main character reaching enlightenment, with the stages of it being stated in the titles of the BGM. I think that the "mundanity" refers to Samsara, the continuous cycle of death and rebirth.
Ikaruga: the only game so artistically, philosophically and gameplay-wise enlightened it can include the word "penetration" and no one will make the obvious jokes about it
@@ph43draaa chaining is much more anal in RS, and you NEED to chain in order to get score and power up your weapons to actually kill the last boss. Ikaruga could be played for either for survival or for score but neither are needed like is in RS.
Sadly, and no one can overdose me with adrenaline like they do. Closest a game got to hyping me like sin and punishment or ikaruga is f zero and kid icarus uprising
This is a real pleasure to listen when you escape from that strict area with lasers and... that balls surrounds you XD And then... when the "race begins"... those lasers came out, and is PURE ADRENALINE!! Then to evade those red wings from behind... this OST SUIT PERFECTLY, I wish only that was Sakamoto to cooperate with Luchi...
I just got to this stage yesterday and this is a perfect summary of it! I was about (okay, literally) screaming with excitement in the "race" section when the lasers came out!

+Karnage Fails I've seen one nicknamed Jakey or Gakey or something - EVEN him with highest score had made a mess in the final stage against the first phase of the final boss if i'm not mistaken on the messing point X)
@@aliultimate009 To be fair, the first phase of the Final, in this game, is one of the most brutal encounters in a schmup today; To make it through on 3 lives is pure fucking insanity.

Yeah this level isn't joking around, it's hard to get to this point flawlessly and it tries really hard to kill you the ENTIRE time. It's a really fast paced level about half way through and requires complete memorization to get to the boss
I was watching the end of Guardians of the Galaxy when they make a stand against Ronan's ship and I noticed the Ravager ships that Nova Corp. and The Guardians were using bear such a similarity with Ikaruga,that it may be the closest we ever get to having an Ikaruga movie.Made me put this song on to match up the action with it and discovered how much I need a laptop and capture card to make some vids...
I could handle those laser blocks and the corridor gates with some inconsistency, but I'll admit I dropped the game because I didn't figure out how to beat the rammer miniboss afterward without dying. Turns out you gotta stick inside the laser rotation at all times
@@陈明年 Bro forget chaining that is a whole next level of skill. I'm just holding shoot while doing the mechanics of the level correctly. Sometimes when its slow or convenient (middle section of stage 2) I will chain but always with an emphasis on safety. With that mindset/playstyle I can clear normal with maybe 1 continue used (after much practice)
