Having the experience of hearing this motif in a pivotal moment of Void Stranger, then coming back and playing ZR just to get slapped by this song during a tense fight felt insanely empowering in a way I haven’t felt in a looong time in a game, this shit kicks so much ass.
well actually they were playing ascended which adds double damage, however the mod makes the boss have double damage, on top, they’re overcharmed, making for a whopping 8 masks of damage in just ONE hit, thank god for that ninth mask

whenever it reaches 1:11 i see hands flying all over the screen trying to squish me in their palms and i keep on charging my shot so that ill stay invincible xDD until i get hit...then i have to wait for it to go back to normal again

It's named for what you feel after hearing it for the 500th time, dying without continues left, and realizing you need to do the whole fucking amoeba section again, the single most boring sequence in this game.

i beat them with my friends, not so hard, my friends focused on kills the freezers while i decided to kill juggernaut and my bro decided to kill slasher
only took me one game over. And at least i only have to fondle some balls for another chance to fight god. The worse part however, is trying to conserve your continues so you will have less of a bad time with the ultimate risk in going for the true ending! I have not done it yet, but i will soon!
Oh yeah, i just did the true ending on my first try! It was not as hard as the final boss thank goodness, but it's SCUREAH!! I did not wanna lose my whole save file to this ass, and by the final hit, i was being gang banged by orbs and bullets until i had one life left! but then... it happened. I actually touched him the 5th and final time and yeeted him! Feels good man!
The one downside to everything being MIDI is that the game has so much control over how the music is played, so there don't need to be separate recordings for faster or slower versions of the same song. For that matter, pitch-shifting the track, too.

But god damn the flute, especially that cliche ass progression in the second half of it, is fantastic here. I don't think megalovania has any variation on this level.
Megalovania was a track for an Earthbound fan-album that used the Earthbound soundfont. It then got re-recorded for a Homestuck fan album. It then got used as the music for a bonus boss in the "Are you actually that bored with your life" boss in Undertale. It's not at all comparable to a completely new creation for a completely new game that doesn't have to try to keep the feel or soundfont of the Super Nintendo era.
