It could have been called Sarah Palin - What a Mistake. It's Game Change.
Like the film Albert Nobbs, Game Change is not a particularly cinematic outing. It does pay huge attention to detail however, and blends in archive footage really well. If you hadn't guessed by now, the film's about Sarah Palin's involvement in John McCain's run for King of America, 2008.

If you say "Hiptang" three times in the mirror, Georg's floating head will appear through the darkness.

Have done this and can confirm. For best results it must be done near midnight with the lights off, and only a lava lamp on in the background for minimal illumination.
Must have done something wrong, Norman Lovett appeared for me.
My favorite part of this movie is when they're talking about Ronald Reagan on the bus. After Julianne Moore says the line "he's my hero!", I swear you can see Woody Harrelson's eyes roll into the back of his head as he delivers the line "mine too".

Harrelson's portrayal as an inhuman monster almost froze the life out of me, the way he drinks his tea with the bag still in it, it makes my hansd shake wehn typing ...
I think a lot of us Americans drink our tea that way.
Despair! We do not put milk in our tea, as well!

Making tea with tea bags - as opposed to brewing it - is a worse sin than leaving the tea bag in while drinking it.
I admit I also sin sometimes.
I don't know if Woody Harrelson gets enough credit for his craft. IMO his acting chops are right up there with the best.
His work in True Detective was just as good as Matthew McCon's, but with none of the recognition. Woody can do that thing with an expression that great actors have; they don't have to say a word.
@@eugenetighe945 I think it has more to do with the fact that Mcconaughey's character has become Tyler Durden 2.0. That got him all the attention.
@@Memnoch4711 right, being north of 30 now I'd forgotten how appealing an edge-lord can be. Though the devotion to Rust Cohle's nihilism only makes me think they completely failed to understand his character arc and the fundamental message of the show.

@@eugenetighe945 I confess I didn't like the ending of True Detective, simply because of Rust's "redemption". It seemed it didn't fit. But I am biased. An atheist sceptic, a disappointed idealist - I very much identified with him. Rust was not a nihilist, he was a coward.
With him turning all spiritual I felt like I lost a friend.
Marty's character was more nuanced, and equally well acted. A simple guy with a big dick? Only on the surface.
Wasn't aware that they made a Sarah Palin movie... But yeah, Julianne looks stunning and does a great job, can't believe it has such a star studded cast.
These are not my type of movies, but i might check it out for the stellar performances.
This Hiptang sounds like an ever-increasingly fascinating thing.

This was an amazing movie. It doesn’t turn anybody into a cartoon character in its portrayal. It's also a great insight into the (then) future political changes in the US. Highly recommended for everyone.

Before you said the actress was Julianne Moore, I was legitimately wondering why Sarah Palin would agree to be in a movie that showed her flaws like this.

Not strange at all. Biden actually knows a decent amount about foreign policy so there's no need to test him. Palin needed to be called out because she knew fuck all. And as Epicurus341 said, time to move on.

Like everyone else in the comments I too thought the thumbnail was the real Sarah Palin, then I watched the video and at first thought it was Jennifer Garner before realizing it was Julianne Moore. She's spot on Sarah, more than Tina Fey. And Ed Harris looks like a pretty good John McCain too.

15 years ago when I worked in commercial printing we used to demonstrate printers using pictures of her because her colouring was so beautiful, the hair, the skin tone, al looked amazing with a quality printer.

There's something about this dumb movie that I love. I've watched it probably 20 times over the last decade or however long its been. It's just so "watchable" I don't know how else to describe it, and I never met anyone else IRL that has seen it.

I was very politically active in '08, and while Woody does a great job, and Moore as well, the story is imbelished quite a bit. Schmitt did and said whatever he could to shift blame in order to escape any criticism and assure future GOP jobs would still flow in.
