Excellent. I learned how to adjust the drum brake. Thanks. I try to learn something new every day. Hope that solves your braking issue. Im betting it will. 🙂
@@GratefulBamboo Well you got to keep trying. I did order some new shoes because the others were well the ones in there pretty worn and I kind of roughed them up with a wire wheel on top of it. Lol it's been raining and I got to get tags on the bike but I do putter around in the neighborhood see if what I do works..
Moe I do the same thing, I'll see something dirt cheap at the swapmeets that looks cool and I buy it having no idea what it fits. Have a blessed week my friend
Moe if ya got a bigger bench, you would make a bigger mess!!! Ask me how i know!! 😂😂. Yeah the rear brake drum also has to adjustment pivots on the outside of the brake plate to center the brake shoes as well. Good job moe, i hope that fixes your front brake problem, I’ll be eagerly awaiting the follow up on your test ride!!! Yeah we’re having the same issue here it’s raining and it’ll be raining all week just when I have to go take the 64 Panhead for a test ride and test out her brakes!!! 👍🍺 SLICK
@@Mickey-uy3bg Well I looked at that time stamp area but I couldn't find anything but the other pressure gauge which is the switch if you're talking that is in the body of the motor itself. No one The shovelhead motor the back one of course has the pipe that goes up the feeds the oil but the place to and that's on well on evos that's they eliminated that oil passage or that oil pipe to the head and they just put a that's where they put the oil pressure gauge. But on the shovel heads it's just behind the cone cover and. Well I can tell you it's 18 threads per inch. And it's.4885 in outside the threads and under that is the screen and the spring and I think that screen filters the oil that passes to the top of the motor. And it looks to be a straight thread not a pipe thread. In the book it just says plug for oil screen part. And then it's part 26 26 3-80 and that was from 81 and up I bet you they interchange but sorry I can't narrow down the threads any closer than that but they do look like a straight thread. Hope that helps

Moe, what size fitting did you use for the oil pressure gauge (END THAT GO'S IN BY THE LIFTER BLOCK) above the and to the right of the oil pump? 7:22

You have a lot of parts and tools everywhere, how do you keep up with it all.

@MoeLarrycurly1 yeah, I have a hard time keeping track of everything, also. I hate to get rid of stuff, and my stuff is in small sheds
