How To Become A Research Assistant

There are ways to look for research assistant positions at your university. This is mostly focused on undergraduate and graduate program students.
First, you want to stand out in your studies. You have to do fairly well with your degree and course work.
Second, you have to ask around for those professors that are interested in research.
Here is the problem. You have to demonstrate that you are not going to be a time-sink for the professor. You have to show that they can benefit from your research assistantship. This likely means that you are going to be doing some research that is rather boring or time-intensive.
Finally, you might want to write up a research proposal that demonstrates that you can do some original research.
