This was so useful for me, I am not at al in the medical sciences field, but going for a research assistant job in social sciences, but it was still super interesting to know what kinds of questions might pop up!
Your video came at the right time as i have an interview in 3 days with a canadian researcher (im streeessseeeed, but seeing you talk about it so calmly reassured me. It's nice to receive advice from a woman in stem too ! ). Lot of love from France
I’m gonna have an interview in a couple of days for a postgraduate associate position at one of the ivy league’s uni’s, which is amazing yet a bit intimidating. They asked me to prepare a 15 min presentation about my research experience and future plans. On their website it was stated that the position is for one year with a possibility of a renewal. I mentioned in my application that I intent to apply for a PhD this up coming fall. In US the application process takes a year, so it fits. So it’s okay if I will mention that during the interview, right? I want to take my masters thesis presentation and adapt it. Hope it will be okay. Sorry, just texting it here cuz I’m both nervous and excited and I finally saw someone in my field in a top university here on RUclips haha! You are amazing!!!!!
What’s the difference between an academic and industry research assistant position? I’m applying to a RA job at my local hospital as an undergrad medical student
I have my interview schedule on 31 March for the Junior research assistant in field of pathology what question should I prepare myself for. Job description involve pharmacokinetics drug lab
It's possible to apply for UROPs or email individual professors to see if they are willing to host an undergrad. There are also easter/summer internships you can apply to in larger biopharmas/institutions, keep in mind that these deadlines tend to be quite early!
thank you!! sometimes I'd ask about in vivo work (cause I don't feel very comfortable working with mice) and also how the pandemic has impacted their work (I started 2021) to see how they adapted their experiments/research
@@biomedwithvy ahhh okay, I have an interview with Cambridge uni as a research assistant which would involve a lot of in-vivo work if I did get the job 😳
Thank you for the great advice! I used your video for my interview preparation, and was just offered a research assistant role at my university!!
