Oh wow! What an informative video! I have an interview for Clinical Trial Administrator at a NHS Trust today. I acquired valuable info from your vlog and would use all tips and strategies during my interview. I hope I get this job.
Hi Paula, glad you enjoy the content! Internships in wet labs ask more skill and assay specific questions as well as your baseline theoretical knowledge through such courses in school and awareness of lab safety procedures, PPE, spills and preventing lab accidents etc. I will try to make a video on this in the coming weeks :)
Happy holidays! Maybe I missed it? Is it possible to do a video about your new life in Ottawa please? What are some of your favourites places? Things to do? Or avoid! How to make friends. Moving there shortly and would love any tips. xx
I was wondering what kinds of questions you would recommend asking as an interviewee applying for clinical research assistant roles or what kinds of questions you thought interviewees asked were good. Thank you!
That's an excellent question. Theres a few type of questions to ask, some that demonstrate your interest, others that will help u decide if u really want to do this job or not, and a few just to show u have done ur homework. I think i'll make a video on this next week and post on the channel :)
Great video! How would you answer the question about having experience with data entry/collection, processing blood/bio samples, or ethics renewals if you don’t have any experience with those things but are more than willing to learn?
Hi there. One potential answer would be : "While I haven't had the chance to do data entry for clinical studies, I have had other roles in retail, client service, cashier roles, admin assistant or clinic assistant roles etc where I have had to learn new client relation databases (CRMs) very quickly and meticulously collected and entered data in a timely manner, responded to any queries or errors etc. I have a good concept of how research ethics works at the institutional level but haven't personally submitted a full ethics application for a trial yet, although I am happy to learn on the go. I did do a crash course on it and am familiar with the processes of applying for initial REB application, continuing reviews, amendments etc. I am sure each institution's REB portal is a little bit different but I am confident I can pick it up fairly quickly.
Within how many days,we get reply either yes or no after 1 st interview with HR? And if i send one follow up email after 5 days of interview, how long will be the process in general?
Typically the preliminary interview should let you know within 5-7 business days. But you can also ask that during your call about when to expect to hear back from then.
Some places can. Others prefer hiring someone who already has that experience or certification in phlebotomy. That is why nursing background people do so well in these roles.

@@thebrownfeministcanada thank you!!!
For the clinical research coordinator role What should be the dress code when going to the clinic shadow!! Black scrub with lab coat? Please suggest
Hello, it really depends on each institution. Typically you can wear scrubs (any colour) with sneakers. You can ask the HR.
Hey! Very Informative. I just wanted to know what questions or what should we be prepared for phone screening of research?
Hi there, I have an interview question series of videos on my channel which covers phone screening questions as well.
Really helpful!
I don’t see your name on your profile or in any of your video!
Looking to connect through Linkdin.

What kind of interaction will be there with patients? Do we need to give injections and blood draw in this field.....??

Mam does CTA has to travel with CRA
Typically no.
Would they train you to do blood draws if you have other experience but no actual experience with specimens?
Some places can. Others prefer hiring someone who already has that experience or certification in phlebotomy. That is why nursing background people do so well in these roles.
Wow good topic g head please
Thanks for the video, just a little advice you are moving alot! it's hard to focus
Thanks for the input, in my recent videos I am more careful about this habit and usually speak sitting down now :)

Hello, thanks for the feedback. I will work on that so it does not happen again :)
This is a great video, but you are moving all the time and this is SOOOOOO distracting
Sorry about that! I have started sitting down for videos now a days :)
