I dunno if it’s a drop in if you’re on long boards? We were always chill with more than one board on the wave. Good days at Pt Kembla we would have short boards drop in and rip the wave in front, I always told the to stay on and share when there was room.
About to go out a few years ago and saw a baby white shark about 1.5 metres long. The waves were on about 4 foot going right to the beach. Went out, too good not too. It was just cruising the off it went. The young ones live on the beach side of the reef up till they get around 3 metres then join the big adults on the other side of the reef. Seen a few surfing the pass and way down at belongil. Belongil is very sharky and I know a few who won’t surf down there……..

Reminds me of Waikiki without the crowd both in the water and on the land, although it’s a lot busier now than it was 20-30 years ago.
