Great video. Just came into ownership of a "brand new" boxed 236-399 date I assume of 10 62. Even has an unmolested mantle already in place. Also came with a slightly used Sport Lite 242 B 5 54.
I am about to embark on the same journey with my 1963 model 236 - made on Davies Street here in Toronto. Your video is excellent and will be something that I re-visit along they way! Well done - Subscribed!
Thanks. I was lucky I didn't have to burn out the filler cap gasket or take out the check valve on this one. If you need to do that, there are videos that show you how.

Hello, great video! I have a Mexican Linmex (236 clon) but It can't build any pressure. Any idea where the problem might be. I already replaced all those gaskets and check valve. Thanks in advance

Personally I would use finer steel wool and a soft cloth with the mother's. I've been seeing a lot of fixed up lanterns for sale scratched up.
