Great tip! Please give us more tips/hacks for character consistent in midjourney.
I'll try! But unfortunately I don't think there is much more to discover at the moment - seems like we've hit the limit of 'consistent characters' already. We might need to wait until the next rendition in Version 7
love that tip, because it can also open a lot of doors for experimenting Cref in other ways than just using a same character (including complex prompts and remixes)
💯 let me know if you find any cool use cases!
Fantastic dude, this is superb simple, but very powerful tip. While its dead simple in Photoshop to do this, now I don't need to.
hahah I know what you mean. Even though Photoshop is probably the answer, MJ is still fun to use
This is exactly what I needed for my T-shirt mockups!! Thanks man 🙏🏼
Yah I hope that helps!
Pasting is TIGHT!
😂
AWESOME 👍👍👍👍
Another perfect 'pilot' prompt positively pre-empting problems . I feel sure you were the only one at school who always did their homework....
😂 not growing up but I've tried to get better at that kind of thing
Ok that was a great hack! 👏 Thank you. 👍
Cheers!
Great vid. You can cref objects too. I use "vary region" and "cref" to add objects into my scene like jewelry, clothes, cigars etc.
That's wild! cool tip, thanks
Great tips! Tnx!
Cheers!
You're great, you are ahead of time. Like a Midjourney whisperer lol. Thanks from your honest subscriber.
And I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Great Tips!
To your usual high standard. Have shared on X for others to benefit. I had figured this out, but you so eloquently explain features, tips and other insights.
Well thanks a lot for sharing the video!
Super insightful and valuable ❤
Cheers!
Another great and helpful video! Thank you!
Cheers!
It just keeps getting better and better. wow. Thanks for sharing brodude!
Cheers!
Thank you again for the straight forward usable info! Wondering if a cref image of a color palette rather than only one color would work similarly?
That's a really cool idea! I just tried it and it kinda works 😂 give it a shot
awesome tutorial once again man !!! You truly are amazing !!! thank you so so much for all that you do for our community :)
And thank you very much for the support!
nice one!
Cheers!
Hey Nolan, I used your tips on working with --sref --sw and --s, to fine tune a style for my library of 500 collectible cards. Works like a charm! One thing though that I struggle with is color variety, as Midjourney insists on repeating the dominant colors that I've fed it with via the 3 image references, and brings them up even when I specify other color variations.
I will try to use this together with --sref and see what happens. I hope fixing this is super easy and barely an inconvenience.
Works great! Thing is, it omits the head of the character... so I tried making the --cw as low as 40 and voila! Style consistent as the reference image, and the color as the one I specified using this technique. You just saved me so many hours of work and frustration!
THANK YOU!
That's such a cool story, thanks a lot for sharing and I'm pumped that you were able to solve the problem!
Awesome tip thank you this should really help me capture some things I have felt where "off"!
💯
Amazing tip! 🎉 especially for us brand creators
BIG UPS Nolan bro! ❤
Glad I could help!
Nolan, dude! This is wizardry.
haha ai is amazing, eh?
Rock on FTP!!!
Cheers pal!
Hey, Love your content. By the way I didn't understand why this thing can't be achieved by style referencing, cause colors come in style not the characters. When we say character referencing, we think about a person or a figure. Hope you understand my point.
Sorry for the late reply! You know what's funny? They recently changed style reference to ignore color and focus more on the style - otherwise I would have completely agreed with you!
Very cool! Is there a way to have two crefs? One which is a color and one of a character in one prompt or are multiple generations needed?
Say I want a character I usually use through a cref command holding up a sign in a specific color for example
You could definitely try! But I think the more links you have in a prompt, the more MJ might blend them together. Not saying it won't work, but I'm not sure if it will be easy to do that either haha
Cool!
💯
Absolutely brilliant! Thanks for the tips! Could I ask you a cheeky question? Do you know how to create images from photos in different art styles but retaining the people and architectural structures? I've been fiddling about all weekend on and off between work but Midjourney doesn't want to play ball. I've tried --style raw to try and tether it down as such to the original photo but no luck. It's started to go in the right direction with ::72 at the end of the photo link and using vary region but it's still not resembling the original photo enough. Any ideas from your good self or anyone else here would be much appreciated as I'm starting to lose my mind! lol ;)
Sorry for the late response! Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to accomplish what you are looking for! Maybe in the future though
@@FutureTechPilot No probs! I've had some degrees of success with Adobe Firefly but there's not much leeway with prompting like in Midjourney i.e. you can't apply weights. As far as I can see itworks with only short, simple prompts. Befunky did a basic illustration of a photo but I haven't dabbled in that very much at all. Generative Fill in Adobe Photoshop works but I think works best with simple images not like I need to create and Midjourney works to a certain point but can create the text and some of the structure and a person plus the style but it doesn't look 100% like the image. So I'm going to see what I can so on Photoshop instead and see maybe if I can maybe upload it to Midjourney and add one or possibly two objects in Vary Region but apart from that I'm waving the white flag! lol ;)
@@tingliasmr Yah I hear you. But the future should be fun!
@@FutureTechPilot God yeah! I could just easily fall down the rabbit hole into infinity and never get bored! ;)
Thanks for the info! I pasted in a color palette (and tried uploading as well) but I am showing "spoiler attachment, modify attachment and remove attachment, not the character reference button? Any help would be appreciated! I am new to Midjourney so maybe it's me! :)
I'm really not sure! I think you should ask for help in the Prompt Chat channel on Discord. Lots of helpful people there!
i love you!)

Hi Are You going to have a Easter sale on Your courses ?Thanks
No unfortunately. The price is going to go up on April 12th, so you can think of it being on sale right now though
Will it go on sale later this year I just cannot afford that price@@FutureTechPilot
Hello, do you have a course specifically for Niji?
No I don't, but I think 99% of Midjourney tips translate to Niji
hm can we also do two or three colors in the image by just adding them?
Yah! kinda! sorry for the late reply. You can definitely add more colors like that but the output might blend together a little
Is there a list of colors that we can ask for? Or do we have to have it this way
Asking for colors would be inconsistent, so I would recommend finding a reference color for sure!
can MJ accept (understand) hex color codes in prompts tho?
No not right now but I bet we see that in the future
Please dip dive more into midjourney consistent charcters
I'll see!
Hhm, strange, but not working the same for me. When I paste the image I have no options as to how I want to use it. Only the Image icon is available.
Even if you hover over the pic?
@@FutureTechPilot Well, this was on an iPad, so no hovering. I’ll have to see if it’s different on a PC. Although I wonder why one of the three icons appears as shown in yours, but not the two beside it.
please can u tell how to generate horror images in midjourney.
I'm sure you'll run into the filters trying to generate that genre
did you also tried as sref?
It varies quite a bit but often uses the color in the background as well, particularly at high --sw. From limited experience naming the color in the prompt helps a bit. Mixing cref (ref) and sref (skyblue) with a prompt of e.g. ""A woman in a red trouser suit in a field" nails the trouser suit and produces a skyblue sky every time
😮❤
Couldn’t you also use the link as a parameter for cref?
What do ya mean?
@@FutureTechPilot I mean do I have to use /prefer option set? Doesn't --cref [image-link] work just as well?
@@paddlaistockholm oh yah. for sure. but if you want to use that link again in the future, it might be easier to set it as a shortcut!
Why can Ifind the midjourney website?
midjourney.com
Man I wish they would fix hands before any other function or ability, the amount of time and resources wasted to try and achieve a normal looking hand… jeez MidJourney .. fix it already …
I know what you mean!
