The more I see artists paint with oils, the more I want to paint with oils. But for now, it is acrylics for me. This painting is stunning. I love it when an artist is speechless of their creativity.

I'm actually a fan of this theory. In all seriousness, though. Chuck's work completely nails down the calm and relaxed feelings I long for each day. Chuck, this is one of my favourites, for sure! It's absolutely astounding!!! There's an enchantment to it that goes beyond description. Those "writhing" trees, without leaves, give a life to it that I've never seen a "dead" tree do in a painting. The only way I could attempt to describe the effect is it's like a "journey to Oz" feeling. Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
Thank you Mark! Yes I agree, those trees out there are something else. We have a lot of cottonwood trees by us but they just grew different there, beautiful. And I actually believe they were mostly all alive still, just middle of winter for them. Appreciate it!!

I love these. Its' a perfect combination of the chosen music and the scene as it unfolds beneath your brush. Have you ever taken that road that leads up to the scenic area from Capital Reef? It's a dirt road after you get to the top that goes off to the north. You need a truck oft times to get through the towering rocks as it follows a riverbed but it's doable and there is a scene around every bend that is out of this world. You probably have and know what I'm talking about but it too makes you feel so small because of the towering grandeur of it all. So great to view God's paintings in nature. Thanks for sharing Chuck. I'm not on instagram so thanks for remembering us over here on RUclips. Loved watching it.
