@@Baldermort Hey great video and channel, but I would strongly suggest for future videos to not have any background music (or just having it for the intro). I firmly believe background music is annoying, distracting, unnecessary, and frequently too loud. Many times I have trouble hearing what you are saying because the music was a little too loud. I also believe people just want to get information and not hear generic background music that doesn't add anything really useful and that people have to mentally filter out. I'm also neurodivergent and get overstimulated audio-wise. Plus it would be one less thing you need to do when making videos. Thank you for your consideration.
Nothing is for everyone. I make the videos as I like them. I, like most, prefer music in the background to set the scenes and reflect the mood. I find even audiobooks tedious without that. I have a question about the progid gland Do they harvest it routinely every five to 10 years? Or do they only harvest it when the Space Marine dies? I've wondered this for a long time.

I believe I could watch her do that rope weaving obstacle all day that is the most skilled obstacle movement. I think I’ve ever seen while out of breath and moving fast and smooth. I want to do something incredible now thank you for the inspiration.
One thing I always dislike is when people say “the Ultramarines are not so brutal, why do others not follow them?” Forgetting that they have multiple of the richest worlds dedicated to them, not even producing Guard Regiments. Only PDF or similar local forces. The brutality is there because few others can afford it. It’s what I like about the UM. Their strength is their political ability, to get the resources they need to get the job done. I doubt any other chapter could do the same.
I have spent years studying psychology, sociology, and neuroscience in school. I am so glad that the WH40K astartes creation process is based on fiction writings and not real science, lol. If our personalities and very individuality boiled down to simple biological information stored in the physical connections of neurons in the brain, I think that a lot of WH40k lore might actually hit a little less tongue-in-cheek, and lot more creepy... like it needs to be more creepy, lol! Still, I love the unashamed brutality of it. Besides political commentary, the astartes creation process brings up a lot of existential topics and ethical morays- like the concept of eugenics and other forms of genetic population control and manipulation. That IMO is why the lore sticks so hard. It is constantly bringing up real life concepts, but doesn't always discussing them directly. * chef's kiss * So good!

To address everything you mentioned in both messageges, you are more influential than you realize. The entire Warhammer 40K community came together-everyone I follow on RUclips, who is well-known and respected-to make enough noise to ensure you didn’t lose your channel for too long. All the voice actors you’ve collaborated with were urging RUclips to reinstate you. I hadn’t heard of “The Kree”-though the name might be incorrect-but I remember that horrible story you told about those immortal bat-like creatures you described recently. They’ve been on my mind quite often; they truly embody a grim and dark theme. I’m 40 years old and still recall buying a Dreadnought made of lead back in 1997. I might still have it somewhere. My point is that I used to get White Dwarf every week, and I really enjoy the hidden gems that are tucked away in that publication. Cavil genuinely loves 40K. We’ll have to see if he did it for the money or if he’s ready to be disliked by millions. I am no longer a beginner; I have read around 60 books. I prefer Dan Abnett, but there are definitely some gems by other authors as well. You always put a lot of effort and love into your videos. By the way, I think you should consider partnering with VPN companies to earn some money. Everyone else seems to be doing it, so what does it matter? I will support you no matter what. I always had an idea for a homebrew chapter that took its aspirants as adults, not children. Many stories seem to say that Space Wolves took adult warriors from the battlefield. I guess you can make up whatever head cannon you want really. 😅
I’d love to know the unique aspects of each chapter’s trails. Especially the Black Templars as they are a fleet based chapter and if I am correct have to recruit on the go.
I believe with all my heart that we will create Space Marines with our own technology in the future years. Cmon scientists and gene studiers! Lets make it happen and claim our galaxy!!
CONTROVERSIAL TAKE ... Only one million Space Marines for one million worlds. That always bothered me. The enemies of mankind are far too many, for such low Space Marine numbers. We need to have at least One Billion Loyalist Space Marines, fighting wars across the galaxy. This is why Belisarius Cawl needs to continue his focus on raising the loyalist numbers.
It breaks my heart and terrifies me how many of these heroes die in the creation process. It makes my blood boil when the overly self important think these angels as numbers on a list. Ave Imperator!

This is precisely why I get such an sense of extreme annoyance when I hear anyone who prefers other factions, like Tyrannids, Orcs, Eldar or what have you, complain about Space Marines being "mary sues". Yes, they are unbelievable powerful when you first see them, but that is only because the untold story behind them usually spans decades, if not centuries, of training. They are so few in numbers that they realistically are "HERO" units on the battlefield, not rank and file soldiers of a faction to be used against an equal amount on the other side. Orcs number in the billions.. the baseline Orc being physically as strong as a Space Marine - at least unarmored. They shouldn't be able to fight on equal terms.. since they are millions upon millions times more. Their primary opponents are the Astra Militarum. The same with Tyrannids. Even Necrons. Not a single Space Marine should really be unnamed. Anonymous. They are all unbelievably powerful. Their normal, or even weak performance, is a human's absolute exceptional one. What they do on the normal would be considered insanity to replicate for anyone else. There is no "normal" Space Marine.
on the blood angels trial of the blood duel: its not a duel to the death. they choose those that show mercy. the specifically look for the most noble candidates, because they will have to deal with the red thirst and black rage. atleast thats what happened with dante. and it was called the Trial of Horus. idk where i originally learned this, probably when i listened to the dante audibook, but the wiki seems to confirm this.

Idk how they expect these mental cases to ever have any sort of fraternity or brotherhood with one another at the end of this, given what they have to do during these trials...you would only get the luckiest and most deranged monsters out of this..unless that is programmed into them later, but then it could reprogram what made them "worthy" in the first place uegh😵
Why not sequence the DNA of every aspirant, isolate the genomes of the successful aspirants, develope a gene therapy from said favorable genomes, then administered the gene therapy to as many baseline humans as possible. Lather rinse repeat until whole recruitment worlds are rife with desirable specimens. This would have a side effect of strengthening the baseline humans as well which benefits the Adeptus Sororitas as well.

Master Baldermort, I must commend your proper user of scale as one of very few authors. Just now I was complaining in one of the Imperial Iterator's videos about the inability of the authors of 40k books (esp. Gav Thorpe) to grasp the scale of a civilisation such as the 40k's Imperium, and a few minutes later I launch this video and am greeted by the mention of quadrillions of citizens and one in trillions becoming an Astartes. Which is exactly right and which makes you the only one I know who actually uses the correct scales. I know, it's a technicality, but it is an irritant in the 40k stories. It so easily dispels the immersion when you read a passionate 40k story only to be presented by a "major battle" of 2-3 million soldiers. As if an Earth-scale metric (on its lower end, no less) was supposed to impress any 40k reader. Pitiful. Even a single 40k hive world would easily mobilise hundreds of millions of soldiers at the very least - on an especially peaceful day, at that. Well done!

I have a question about the progid gland Do they harvest it routinely every five to 10 years? Or do they only harvest it when the Space Marine dies? I've wondered this for a long time.

One thing I always dislike is when people say “the Ultramarines are not so brutal, why do others not follow them?” Forgetting that they have multiple of the richest worlds dedicated to them, not even producing Guard Regiments. Only PDF or similar local forces.
The brutality is there because few others can afford it. It’s what I like about the UM. Their strength is their political ability, to get the resources they need to get the job done. I doubt any other chapter could do the same.

I have spent years studying psychology, sociology, and neuroscience in school. I am so glad that the WH40K astartes creation process is based on fiction writings and not real science, lol.
If our personalities and very individuality boiled down to simple biological information stored in the physical connections of neurons in the brain, I think that a lot of WH40k lore might actually hit a little less tongue-in-cheek, and lot more creepy... like it needs to be more creepy, lol!
Still, I love the unashamed brutality of it. Besides political commentary, the astartes creation process brings up a lot of existential topics and ethical morays- like the concept of eugenics and other forms of genetic population control and manipulation.
That IMO is why the lore sticks so hard. It is constantly bringing up real life concepts, but doesn't always discussing them directly.

To address everything you mentioned in both messageges, you are more influential than you realize. The entire Warhammer 40K community came together-everyone I follow on RUclips, who is well-known and respected-to make enough noise to ensure you didn’t lose your channel for too long. All the voice actors you’ve collaborated with were urging RUclips to reinstate you.
I hadn’t heard of “The Kree”-though the name might be incorrect-but I remember that horrible story you told about those immortal bat-like creatures you described recently. They’ve been on my mind quite often; they truly embody a grim and dark theme. I’m 40 years old and still recall buying a Dreadnought made of lead back in 1997. I might still have it somewhere.
My point is that I used to get White Dwarf every week, and I really enjoy the hidden gems that are tucked away in that publication.
Cavil genuinely loves 40K. We’ll have to see if he did it for the money or if he’s ready to be disliked by millions. I am no longer a beginner; I have read around 60 books. I prefer Dan Abnett, but there are definitely some gems by other authors as well. You always put a lot of effort and love into your videos.
By the way, I think you should consider partnering with VPN companies to earn some money. Everyone else seems to be doing it, so what does it matter? I will support you no matter what. I hope everything is getting back to normal as always. 💯🇬🇧❤️🫡

GW already introduced female Custodes at Amazons insistence so that's a bad sign right there. Henry Cavill will probably get pushed out like he was on The Witcher.

Only one million Space Marines for one million worlds. That always bothered me. The enemies of mankind are far too many, for such low Space Marine numbers. We need to have at least One Billion Loyalist Space Marines, fighting wars across the galaxy.
This is why Belisarius Cawl needs to continue his focus on raising the loyalist numbers.

Really felt the grim reality of the trials and the need for that dark reality.
A dozen hard bitten youths engaging in bloody melee with a demon.
Onlooking astartes chaplain: "Boys will be boys."
This is precisely why I get such an sense of extreme annoyance when I hear anyone who prefers other factions, like Tyrannids, Orcs, Eldar or what have you, complain about Space Marines being "mary sues". Yes, they are unbelievable powerful when you first see them, but that is only because the untold story behind them usually spans decades, if not centuries, of training. They are so few in numbers that they realistically are "HERO" units on the battlefield, not rank and file soldiers of a faction to be used against an equal amount on the other side. Orcs number in the billions.. the baseline Orc being physically as strong as a Space Marine - at least unarmored. They shouldn't be able to fight on equal terms.. since they are millions upon millions times more. Their primary opponents are the Astra Militarum. The same with Tyrannids. Even Necrons.
Not a single Space Marine should really be unnamed. Anonymous. They are all unbelievably powerful. Their normal, or even weak performance, is a human's absolute exceptional one. What they do on the normal would be considered insanity to replicate for anyone else.
There is no "normal" Space Marine.

on the blood angels trial of the blood duel: its not a duel to the death. they choose those that show mercy. the specifically look for the most noble candidates, because they will have to deal with the red thirst and black rage.
atleast thats what happened with dante. and it was called the Trial of Horus. idk where i originally learned this, probably when i listened to the dante audibook, but the wiki seems to confirm this.
Then how did Erebus make it through the trials of a space marine if he had to face all the things that he'd done wrong? Would that not have broken him?

Idk how they expect these mental cases to ever have any sort of fraternity or brotherhood with one another at the end of this, given what they have to do during these trials...you would only get the luckiest and most deranged monsters out of this..unless that is programmed into them later, but then it could reprogram what made them "worthy" in the first place uegh😵
If I had to pick the top three hardest trials in order I would say
1) Iron Hands
2) Space wolves
3) Dark Angels

Why not sequence the DNA of every aspirant, isolate the genomes of the successful aspirants, develope a gene therapy from said favorable genomes, then administered the gene therapy to as many baseline humans as possible.
Lather rinse repeat until whole recruitment worlds are rife with desirable specimens.
This would have a side effect of strengthening the baseline humans as well which benefits the Adeptus Sororitas as well.

Master Baldermort, I must commend your proper user of scale as one of very few authors. Just now I was complaining in one of the Imperial Iterator's videos about the inability of the authors of 40k books (esp. Gav Thorpe) to grasp the scale of a civilisation such as the 40k's Imperium, and a few minutes later I launch this video and am greeted by the mention of quadrillions of citizens and one in trillions becoming an Astartes. Which is exactly right and which makes you the only one I know who actually uses the correct scales.
I know, it's a technicality, but it is an irritant in the 40k stories. It so easily dispels the immersion when you read a passionate 40k story only to be presented by a "major battle" of 2-3 million soldiers. As if an Earth-scale metric (on its lower end, no less) was supposed to impress any 40k reader. Pitiful. Even a single 40k hive world would easily mobilise hundreds of millions of soldiers at the very least - on an especially peaceful day, at that.
