Almost fainted after an hour in one of these hot springs in iceland...so yeah, the temperature definitely matters 😅 Edit: it was soooo relaxing though, kinda worth it
Supporting Elijah here- There used to be a public salt water pool right next to the beach in San Diego. During the summer you could rent rafts and they would show shark movies on the wall. I saw Jaws there and it was great.

As it turns out to work rather well I'd want it powered so its out the way and yet 'instantly' ready to use - your not going to put it away properly for days, weeks, maybe even months at a time (Maybe never if your a weirdo like me that actually likes colder pools and rain) so the time taken to manually crank up and down a screen is going to be way more annoying as you have to run power and networking to the projector so doing the screen as well isn't much extra effort anyway. The once a year setup that takes a little bit longer but makes movie night push button simple seems like a winner.

Great work guys! Did Yvonne come to give her stamp of approval? Would have been cool to have the speakers working, but that can be another project. I did like that the cameraman had issues with the brightness, it says a lot for both the screen and the projector, all positive. Looking forward to the next upgrade, and an update next October on how much use was made of the setup.
Portable projector is one of the best purchases I ever made. I use it on the side of friends houses or on a shower curtain strung up, speakers and all fits in a back pack.
It's fascinating all the things Hisense makes! My friend has two of their TVs, they've got this projector and I've got a portable heat pump all made by Hisense.
Throwing this out there for those looking; because I didn't hear it in the video (I may have missed it). Throw Ratio: 0.9:1 to 1.5:1 - Not a short throw projector at all. I thought they had the projector pretty close to the screen, but it turns out the projector is basically 1:1 ratio. So if you need a 100" screen, the projector needs to be placed 100" away.
To be fair, winter in Vancouver is 95% rain with maybe a week or 2 of sub zero temperatures. (that nobody knows how to drive in since it only happens for a week or 2 a year)

We don't do pools, but we do movie night outside by the fire all the time. 200 inch screen and only takes like 15 minutes to set up.
