Great time to be a Phillies' fan.Finally this team is living up to its potential.They had been one of the best teams the last 2 post seasons but had to get in as a wildcard.This is the year I hope they finally unseat the Braves for the division crown.
I really like to hear Bryce saying things like:
We just wanted to get Ranger that win going into our 5th. You’re playing for your team. You’re playing for your guys. We had good at bats.
I was saying that to the kids during the game. Like dang this is probably their last shot to have Rangers back here. Of course they did. This team is nasty it’s awesome to watch

Time to think about a post-season roster. Guessing a Rojas/Pache decision, and replacements for Seranthony and Merrifield (neither can stay). Most importantly, however, is to bring in a very experienced bench coach who can help Thompson.
Merrifield has been a good fielder and has underperformed as a fielder? He adds depth to our lineup. Why does he have to go? And who would replace him?

I'm not sure what's going on with Rojas making errors on simple plays. Same with Pache. They both need to get it together...or get replaced. And the errors on the basepaths...running thru stop signs has to stop.
The postgame shows were better when Ruin Tomorrow Jr was away. Can they just make him go away permanently?

Why so much hate on Reuben? The guy was the architect of the 08 WS team and he gave us a very competitive team up to 2011.Say what you want but as a Phillies fan I am forever grateful to Reuben Amaro Jr.

Your history is not so good. Pat Gillick was GM from 2006 to 2008, and put together the team that won the WS.
Ruin Tomorrow Jr got that nickname because he traded away all the top prospects, which in a few years time led to the abysmal seasons after 2012 when the core of the WS team was past its prime.

I feel like he gives me the same nerves as when Soto is on the hill. On a team full of clutch gene guys, I just don’t trust him and it’s weird.

Whit really impressed me in spring training, so I’d love to see him just get more playing time so we can see if he can add anything, if he sucks, go back to Sosa I guess, but at least let others try for a decent amount of time. Sosa has been there long enough that I’ve had plenty of time to see his ass fuck up on defense and make errors out the wazoo. I get that it was wet last night and blah blah blah, but I’m just fed up 🤷🏻♀️
