When I was a kid and went to fantasy of flight for the first time here in Florida I was just so amazed about seeing all of the beautiful planes and different things about flight, Kermit even took me and my families picture before we knew who he was, This plane was the first plane I ever saw fly why I went to Fantasy of Flight and me being a fan of the P-51's and wanting to become a pilot, I was so happy, kermit is an amazing pilot and ill never forgdt my first time, I hope Fantasy of Flight in florida will come back to the old ways, I miss the huge hangar and seeing flybys
I still remember seeing a pair of P-51's doing a lowpass during an airshow back in the early 80's. The Merlins were screaming, and the planes moved so fast it was hard to follow them with the eyes. This flying seems very "relaxed" compared to the military "attack profile" display they showed. Great video as alway from Fantasy of Flight.
Huge shout out to your crew Kermit, that polish work is above and beyond and to you for the flyby and the beautiful three point landing...............................
When you like the video just from the titles! Rare C model ! Mind goes to the Redtails and Col. Bud Anderson P-51 Ace of aces days..Bud still with us I understand >? Such fantastic filmography and flying skills Kermit, I wish I had been there ! Brilliant ! You nailed the landing, the crew nailed every part of the support and coverage ! Thank You Sir.
I am yet to get bored watching Kermit's videos, and I don't think that I ever will. What a legend he and his establishment are. Being Australian I cannot wait to see one of his CAC Boomerangs doing the flight of the day, one day also. Cheers 🇦🇺
Kermit you are surrounded by all those beautiful aircraft ! But do you know something ! The most beautiful thing you have there at your museum is YOU !!!! You make so many people happy, all those smiling faces, and your so good with the people, A True Gentleman Indeed ! May I say a, True Ace God Bless and Fly Safe !!! Malcolm in the U.K.

PS l remember what Hermann Goering said when when he looked up an saw a P-51 over Berlin, he said he knew the war was over...!
I miss your airplanes Sir, got to see this one fly twice, goose bumps and hair standing up. Video is nice but to hear and feel that engine. Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for all you do in keeping these historic warlords airworthy! Without you and your like we would never have the opportunity to see and hear these wonderful machines in their element! Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧👏❤
What a beautiful Bird. That polish and red is amazing. I really appreciate your efforts in keeping these pieces of history alive, awesome work Kermit!!! You having been inspired by "Snoopy and the Red Baron" is priceless.
What a beautiful aircraft. As much I like the purity of the Spitfire's lines, the Mustang still have the perfect forms, the best example of "form follows function".
The Tuskegee airmen flew these in WWII. After the war was over the Tuskegee experiment was no longer required, so Tuskegee Airmen were integrated into the USAF squadrons. Chappie James was one pilot who made it from Tuskegee Airman to General Officer!
Edgar Schmued's design is both beautiful and formidable at the same time, and it was later polished to near perfection by the addition of the RR/Packard Merlins.
gcrauwels ALL production merlin engined Mustangs used ONLY the PACKARD Merlin and were ALL Made in AMERICA!!! NO british built by Rolls Royce Merlins were used in any Production mustang ! FYI
I've seen it before and I'll watch it again, watching you go through different planes ,how to ck em, fly em, is the best I've seen, and I believe if I had the chance I could have been one of the best stick and rudder flyers, so my imagination has to do for now, thanks for it all Kermit
Kermit . The Mustang hasn't changed but the pilot ?? 😄 I think l recall you interviewed a RedTail pilot Kermit. You must feel very humble when you met these pilots who gave their lives so we could enjoy our freedom ! Thankyou Kermit .
I had a P-51D fly over today, its a daily occurrence when you live next to Chino Airport. Too bad i cant turn up the volume up any higher. Love hearing those Allison's and Marlins at full throttle.
An amazing aircraft. That engine sound. Rekindles that 'get me behind the yoke' feeling. Unfortunately, I'm not in that position any longer sans MS Flight Sim. Physical disabilities and lack of funds prevents. So well done video. What a beautiful airplane. Thank you, Kermit.
Today, that P-51C is at least 78 years old. Still looks like a million bucks and it still has that aura of being a dangerous aircraft to face in air combat..
Wonderful affinity with the visitors and what a stunning aircraft that Kermit displays with such spirit, yes please more archival footage to enjoy in the near future, thank you sir for this historic aviation fix for us to enjoy.
You are my idol. The wife and I are looking forward to one day coming to Florida and visit your museum. Maybe we’ll bump into you at Chino someday. I work at Chino airport and have the privilege to see the progress on your A-26 day after day.

I had some great air-air shots of this plane while you circled me in the blimp as I flew over in 2014. Sadly, due to a computer malfunction, I lost the pictures.
Always love your Mustang videos! Brings back memories of my flight on Crazy Horse with Lee Lauderback, which included a low flyby over your field at Fantasy of Flight!
Me and my dad are going to the Fargo. ND Airshow I never Sean a aircraft before I so excited to see my first aircraft I've always hade a interest in aircraft especially the C (Cessna)-150 I hope to gett a ride in one someday
I think it's for safety, less chances of people accidentally walking into the prop, and nobody else has to touch it to get to the front of the aircraft
As much as I love the big radials there is nothing like the song of a happy , healthy Merlin.
Nothing sounds better than that throaty Merlin sound, never tire of hearing it.
Merlin roars and rumbles, Daimler has a Banshee wail I love and the big radials remind me of Jeremy Clarkson going "POWERRRRRRR"
What about the Merlins younger but larger brother, the Griffon?

Yes that landing was superb filmed from the high tower.

the Tuskegee airmen were extremely brave and a huge part of history! may those men never be forgotten!
these machines are so beautiful and the sound it's amazing
Such a beautiful machine it is breathtakingly beautiful.
What a thrill it must be to fly that plane. Thank you Mr Weeks.

Thanks for this. In my opinion the 51C in natural metal is the best looking plane of all time!
Beautiful aircraft with a most beautiful sound ! Thank you.

Great stuff Kermit.
There are many days that I like the lines of the P-51C even better than the D - and it's such a rare sight!
The turtleback makes the plane. I know the D had much visibility, because it's good to see! However the profile of the predecessors is perfection.
I hope you are still enjoying it (flying) too.
Sound❤
0:20 what did that mean by “wizard of
Orlampa
Thanks for the video Mr. Kermit, can you compare the handling characteristics between the "C" and "D" and which one is the most fun to fly.
I believe Kermit once said his favorite aircraft (most fun) to fly is the one he's in at the moment. That seems like the perfect answer.
Have you done a show on the PBY. That,s a cool plane too. Nothing like the sound of a mustang!!
Original radios and gun sight?
LOOK UP ENGINES FOR P 51. B & C are same aircraft, but made in a different factory.

Kermit, at 5:30 you pull the prop from an X position to a +, what was the reason for this? Thanks for another great video!
I think it's for safety, less chances of people accidentally walking into the prop, and nobody else has to touch it to get to the front of the aircraft
Just wind it up ............. damn kinda miss that now
