    the lever on the right of the carb is the choke for cold starting,it restricts airflow into the carb forcing a higher vacuum over the jets to draw more fuel through.

    Translations:
    "Air flow carb" - choke, for starting when cold. Works great for that, not for air flow control generally. Once the engine is warmed up, its default position is wide open.
    "Air fuel needle" - this is a fuel jet needle valve, used principally to control idle speed. The designated size of the jet orifice is the principal variable to adjust richness of the air/fuel mixture.

The sha close is a great carb once its properly jetted. Girls can build bikes too!

    I just put mine almost completely together. Yesterday night i tightened and straightened that back gear perfectly, put the wheel on this morning and then the wheel stopped spinning freely. Something about the cone nut was too tight, preventing the wheel and bearings to spin. The bike didnt come with a tool to fix that, which i think is bullshit i think all bikes should cone with the necessary tools to fix what ever that needs to be fixed. My bike is a huffy beach cruiser, black one with the ugly red tires. So now i have to take my bike in the shop next week to fix that over tightened nut. I had a tool that was skinny enough to fit but it was like a half a millimeter too wide so it would grab the nut properly. I checked the bearings and nothing seemed damaged, i was so relieved when i saw nothing looked hurtful. Sometimes the smallest things can fuck you over. I just cant wait to get this shit running.

      I've been having a similar issue. Granted I just finally got my bike to the point it starts fairly reliably yesterday, and actually moves without stalling today, so I'm kinda hoping this will just iron itself out with use as well, but it's really a pain in the ass sometimes. It's honestly easier sometimes to just let it stall when I stop and peddle up and start it back up without pulling in the clutch like I normally do to let it idle a bit and just take off like that, otherwise it's a bit tricky to get it moving without I doing this weird jerking thing then stopping regardless how fast I'm pedaling before I begin to release the clutch.
      Aside from that, all things considered I'm pretty happy with my purchase thus far even though the chain tensioner boot stripped resulting in my chain breaking and almost throwing me over the handlebars (which is a huge fear of mine now -_-), but the guy I bought it from on eBay for a whopping $79 refunded me the price of a better chain so can't really complain.

      Come to complete stop, slowly let out the clutch lever without giving it throttle and it will stall the engine. You can hold the brake if need be but I've never had to. I run mine without a filter on the carb, so lately I just been covering the intake with my finger which instantly kills it.

      @@spiritwarrior2942 Unfortunately not, can't figure it out to save my life. Broke it down put it back together still nothing. Plenty compression spark plug fires, tried many different fuel ratios can't get the damn thing to turn over. Peddled so hard I felt like my legs going to fall off still nothing. I even tried spraying fuel directly into the intake manifold without the carburetor.

    do u use oil at all and what type

    • @gunterchain
      @gunterchain 8 лет назад +9

      no dude, you're supposed to run all engines with no oil. the ideal situation is to have your piston white hot and fully melted, the cylinder completely destroyed, crank bent 120 degrees and fuel leaking out of the fuel tank. if you don't do this the bike will not work

      Ass Tumor yup, white hot you got it on the nose this creates optimal working temp for the superconductor he should get an extra 100 miles to the gallon like that and 15+mph boost I've seen it 😊
