1. Have an agenda of your own - dont be a part of others agend a 2. understand the true meaning of selfish - you are not selfish for say no 3. Dont be baised while saying no. Respect all equally, even while saying no. 4. See if the person in front actually needs and respects your advice. 5. Gossip is a complete and utter waste of time. Have control over your time and life.

Sir i was following Acharya Prashant from 1 year but few months back around after 6 months of following i found there is no real practical solutions to problems in his teaching only random ghuma hua gyan with zero ground level reality. So i unfollowed. I thought there is no one who is teaching practical life lessons. I had devoted time to all my old friends and relations, but only 10% people are consistent in commitment. Rest all ignored as time changed. Now i started ignoring such people in positive manner and investing my time wisely.
