I watched your entire video-turned my Doppler on put it 3 inches under my bellybutton and I INSTANTLY heard the heart beat right away!!!! Heart rate of 161! Holy crap! I bought a Doppler so that my intended parent could hear the baby heart whenever he calls it’s really cool i didn’t have one with my own child I’ll definitely keep it incase i have another of my own

I can’t find my baby’s heartbeat. I am 13 weeks 1 day. I had an appointment Monday and the doctor couldn’t find it either so I had to have an ultrasound. I tried yesterday and I thought I heard it for 3 seconds but couldn’t find it again. I just tried again today but I could only hear mine. I know the baby is Ok because I just had an ultrasound but I want to be able to hear it when ever I want with the Doppler lol
Maybe your placenta is in the front 🤷🏻♀️ I’m 27 weeks and it took the doctor a while to find it in the earlier weeks. It also took longer for me to feel her kicks

Maybe that’s another reason why lol but I do have another app in 4 days it’s a high risk pregnancy and I have diabetes so I see my doctor or a nurse every week or every 2 weeks so If they can’t find the heartbeat she told me I will have an ultrasound again..
Yea, I think that’s why a lot of OBs don’t recommend home Doppler use, because if you can’t find the heartbeat a lot of people would assume something is wrong when everything is in fact fine. I was going to say too that maybe you have an anterior placenta making it harder to find? I hope it gets easier for you as baby grows!! I know it definitely gives me peace of mind being able to hear the heartbeat at home- but I’m glad they are following you closely and monitoring baby every to every other week!

I am 13 weeks and 6 days (1 day further along than you in this video) and just received my doppler today. Such a nice package to come home to. The anticipation was too much and I couldn't wait for my partner to come home. Make sure you are moving the Doppler right above your pubic line. If you are still in your second trimester especially towards the beginning, the baby will still be positioned super low in your pelvic. You don’t want to go to high cause then you are touching your stomach not uterus! Whatever you do, don’t panic because the baby could be positioned in a weird way. Even doctors with professional machines can take awhile to find the heartbeat. Make an appointment with your doctor if you are worried. ❤
I am 11 week today and going to try since the sonolone is on way in mail today and we already heard my baby 3 days ago on the ultra sound on the belly outside ultrasound so hope can find here also as I’m measure 3 days fast this is my second baby also can feel more

I know, it can be frustrating at times. Try starting really close to your pubic bone and very slowly work your way up. It gets a little easier as the baby grows! Plus it depends on where your placenta is located too- sometimes it’s harder to hear if you have an anterior placenta.
Aww, I love it, thank you so much, this advice is great & I will keep in mind when I do mine...I had my first prenatal visit yesterday and the doctor tried to hear the heartbeat with a fetal doppler., but no luck. But then again, im only 8 weeks and 6 days. I did get my first ultrasound scheduled for next week though!
We didn’t here the heartbeat at the drs, even with an ultrasound until 10 weeks! And with the at home Doppler we heard it at 9 weeks 5 days. But it really is hard to find! I’m excited to hear about your first ultrasound 🥰

Oh, I also wanted to ask how you were doing as far as morning sickness... I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum with my prior 2 pregnancies so I have some helpful methods to use to help get rid of it if you are still.feeling sick.

They come in a 2 pack for each wrist and they work by using acupressure to comfort the feeling of nausea, and they only costed me about $9. My doctor also recommended trying Fever's Ginger beer. They come in a 4 pack in glass bottles for about $5. You can find them at Walmart most of the time. I also recommend going to your local pharmacy or Target to see if they have Preggie Pops. They're assorted flavor morning sickness relief candies and I swear by them. Plus they come in a 30 pack for less than $10. & last but not least, I buy mini saltines to keep on my nightstand so when I wake up (before even sitting up) I just reach for a few of them and take a drink of the ginger beer, and, I'm telling you, it really helps a whole lot!! Hope you find theses tips helpful! My doctor also prescribed me Zofran to help, so that and tums are are great (make sure and ask your doctor first though, Im just a medical assistant lol).

I used it for the first time today. I watched this video before i received the Doppler. Now I’m just confirming what I hear is right. I heard my own at 125 (swoosh) and the baby’s faster (like horse galloping) I see 133 and 144.
I’m 13 weeks and 6 days today and me and my bf have the same thing and we tried to find baby’s heart beat but we don’t know where he/she is or what spot to look in so hopefully this helps us out

Random question…. I know it’s sounds like a horse galloping , mine doesn’t really sound like a horse. Does that mean it’s not the baby heart?? It ranges from 140-150 on my Doppler….
Hi! In my case, it sounded like a gallop and significantly faster than my HB..yours may sound different :) I would consult your doctor, but it seems like 140/150 would be baby’s heart rate :)
I’m not aware of any affect it may have on the baby’s health if used daily. I know some doctors don’t recommend home dopplers, because it can cause extra stress if you can’t find the heartbeat at home, which may have an adverse affect on mom and baby. But I’m not educated on whether or not the sound waves have any affect on a developing fetus. I used mine about 1-2 times a week during the second trimester, not every day. ☺️ I hope this helps!

I have my own doppler. It arrived this week. I've done a lot of research on this but not a lot is coming up. I found my babies HB, and I was so amazed and I loved hearing it ❤️ but I need to know how often I can use it, I've read in one place it's dangerous and it others it's not as dangerous. So I need to know how often I can use it before it becomes dangerous. Because I don't want to use it a lot and it be a dangour to my baby. Any advice would be great thanks!! Edit: I have found out a lot more information. I have write everything in the replies down below. I hope it helps you! ❤️
@@kbm124 I found out that the doppler even the ones nurses use or midwifes use, they give of radiational heat. Even ultrasounds do too. Serious damage is only done if you either press too hard or leave the doppler in the same spot over your baby for a long long period of time. (damage such as stunt growth or blistering around the sack the baby grows in). I found that it is okay to use every other day for around 5 minutes. Some women use them for longer but that's your choice and at your own risk. I use mine everyday. Finding my babies HB isn't hard for me because I know where it is usually laid. So I when I do use it I use for no longer than say 45 seconds to a minute. I haven't used it today but have used it everyday before today for that amount of time and everything has been fine. It is always best to use it less than recommended. I hope this has helped you! ❤️
@@kbm124 oh another thing! Don't be too worried if you can't find the heartbeat one day. Sometimes I struggle because my baby likes to lay right where you can hear my heartbeat most. So if you can't find it straight away. Leave it and try again later. I do that and I find it later on

It could be! Mine was just the same rate as my heartbeat- but the faster, galloping sound is definitely baby 🙂

Your placenta is the woshing noise x that's what a midwife told me while I was pregnant with my 3rd baby

Oh, I also wanted to ask how you were doing as far as morning sickness... I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum with my prior 2 pregnancies so I have some helpful methods to use to help get rid of it if you are still.feeling sick.

@@meettheacostasourjourney9376 Your Welcome! So ,I just bought these sea bands called Mama! Nausea Relief from Amazon. They come in a 2 pack for each wrist and they work by using acupressure to comfort the feeling of nausea, and they only costed me about $9. My doctor also recommended trying Fever's Ginger beer. They come in a 4 pack in glass bottles for about $5. You can find them at Walmart most of the time. I also recommend going to your local pharmacy or Target to see if they have Preggie Pops. They're assorted flavor morning sickness relief candies and I swear by them. Plus they come in a 30 pack for less than $10. & last but not least, I buy mini saltines to keep on my nightstand so when I wake up (before even sitting up) I just reach for a few of them and take a drink of the ginger beer, and, I'm telling you, it really helps a whole lot!! Hope you find theses tips helpful! My doctor also prescribed me Zofran to help, so that and tums are are great (make sure and ask your doctor first though, Im just a medical assistant lol).

My midwife told me that the swooshing beat is actually the placentas beat, which is similar or almost the same as your own.

I used it for the first time today. I watched this video before i received the Doppler. Now I’m just confirming what I hear is right. I heard my own at 125 (swoosh) and the baby’s faster (like horse galloping) I see 133 and 144.

I’m 13 weeks and 6 days today and me and my bf have the same thing and we tried to find baby’s heart beat but we don’t know where he/she is or what spot to look in so hopefully this helps us out

Random question…. I know it’s sounds like a horse galloping , mine doesn’t really sound like a horse. Does that mean it’s not the baby heart?? It ranges from 140-150 on my Doppler….
Hi! In my case, it sounded like a gallop and significantly faster than my HB..yours may sound different :) I would consult your doctor, but it seems like 140/150 would be baby’s heart rate :)

Does usuing daily affect the health of the baby??
I’m not aware of any affect it may have on the baby’s health if used daily. I know some doctors don’t recommend home dopplers, because it can cause extra stress if you can’t find the heartbeat at home, which may have an adverse affect on mom and baby. But I’m not educated on whether or not the sound waves have any affect on a developing fetus. I used mine about 1-2 times a week during the second trimester, not every day. ☺️ I hope this helps!

Hi! I’m unaware of any affects the Doppler may have on the baby- I would check with your doctor. But I used mine 1-2x a week during the 1st trimester :)

How to find the numbers to result for heart beat ?
I have my own doppler. It arrived this week. I've done a lot of research on this but not a lot is coming up. I found my babies HB, and I was so amazed and I loved hearing it ❤️ but I need to know how often I can use it, I've read in one place it's dangerous and it others it's not as dangerous. So I need to know how often I can use it before it becomes dangerous. Because I don't want to use it a lot and it be a dangour to my baby. Any advice would be great thanks!!

@@kbm124 I found out that the doppler even the ones nurses use or midwifes use, they give of radiational heat. Even ultrasounds do too. Serious damage is only done if you either press too hard or leave the doppler in the same spot over your baby for a long long period of time. (damage such as stunt growth or blistering around the sack the baby grows in). I found that it is okay to use every other day for around 5 minutes. Some women use them for longer but that's your choice and at your own risk. I use mine everyday. Finding my babies HB isn't hard for me because I know where it is usually laid. So I when I do use it I use for no longer than say 45 seconds to a minute. I haven't used it today but have used it everyday before today for that amount of time and everything has been fine. It is always best to use it less than recommended.

@@kbm124 oh another thing! Don't be too worried if you can't find the heartbeat one day. Sometimes I struggle because my baby likes to lay right where you can hear my heartbeat most. So if you can't find it straight away. Leave it and try again later. I do that and I find it later on

Oh good, I’m so glad it was helpful! We knew he was a boy because we did IVF..so we knew the sex of the embryo through genetic testing before he was transferred ☺️
