We had the same problem, our Shih Tzu was not eating. We solved the problem in one minute. We started WARMING his food in the microwave for about 10 to 15 seconds, until it was warm, and he has eaten like a horse ever since. Problem solved. I looked at his food and decided I would not want to eat cold dog food either Sometimes the solution is a simple one. Hope this works for you!
I used to be very picky about my food when I was younger. I didn’t like my food dish and wanted to be hand fed 😮 Now I can’t stop eating, mom says that I grew out of it! 😉🤣
It did not provide any help. My shih tzu is eating his regular food like crazy. But wont eat a single bite of treats after sniffing/smelling that he doesnt like it. So what can be done to make her like it? Too many videos saying just do this and this. But your and others', vids just tell the different situation wherein they used to love such food and suddenly wont eat anymore. Thats not my case! He just dont want another food treat after smelling and not tasting it ever! So what is the soln for this!
It could be for a bunch of reasons. Every dog is different, and what might be delicious to one dog might be a "no way" for another. Your Shih Tzu might be really picky, or maybe he has a super sensitive nose and the smell of the treats just isn't doing it for him. Here are a few things you can do: -Offer a variety of treats to see if any flavor or texture catches his interest. -Mix a little bit of the new treat into his regular food. -Use the new treat during a fun game or training session to make it more appealing. -Try making your own treats with flavors you know he likes. If he's still not interested, it's okay. Some dogs just aren't that into treats. The important thing is that he's eating his regular food and seems happy and healthy.
I sought out a s*** too because I was aware of their mild manner temper, their low energy level, and they are hypoallergenic they have hair instead of regular Fur. I was getting my dog to train as an emotional support dog. And. And my dog was absolutely amazing she picked up everything right away she fulfilled all the requirements that I mentioned earlier I can't say all Shih tzu would be that way. If you are looking for those characteristics a shih too is a good place to start
