  • JEREMY Clarkson today slammed his former employer over its coverage of the farmers' protest.
The former Top Gear presenter is among 10,000 farmers protesting Labour's so-called 'tractor tax', announced in the Autumn Budget, by marching on Whitehall.
He is urging the government to reverse the inheritance tax rules slapping a 20 per cent levy on holdings of more than £1 million.
During a fiery interview with Victoria Derbyshire outside Parliament he angrily said: "Typical BBC. You people."
Later, during a separate speech, as he addressed protesting farmers, he said: "Since when was the BBC the mouthpiece of this infernal government?"
Mr Clarkson, 64, accused the Newsnight host of failing to be impartial in her reporting of the Government's inheritance tax grab.

I'm always baffled that the first answer to needing more money for public services, is take more money from the tax payer, and not to spend the existing money better. 37 billion over two years has been given to NHS test and trace. The GDP of Iceland is 32 billion. We spend more than the entire GDP of Iceland on a test and trace app, yet people feel they need to take more money from tax payers to fill a gap of public funding.

The wasted £37B by the Tories on T&T is exactly why this latest government needs to find extra funds to make it up. It’s a combination of spending better plus getting more money in. Inheritance tax on a £3M estate… 3M! It’s one of many money-generating schemes effecting very few tbh. Maybe Jeremy could give some of his personal wealth to help these farmers instead directly. Nah, he’d rather be rude to a reporter making a valid point that the government is taxing on £3M estates when most people don’t have £300K estates!!

But this isn’t what this is about. Farmers already pay taxes on their crop sales. What the government is trying to do is place an inheritance tax on land so that when someone dies that land is now taxable to the beneficiary. The problem is that while arable land is valuable farming it isn’t very profitable. They won’t be able to farm if they have that tax burden.
If the UK REALLY need tax revenue why don’t they impose a tax on corporations? Why don’t they investigate back taxes on the 1%? Why don’t they impose regulatory financial penalties?
Why don’t they tax high value London properties owned by overseas investors?
Do you know that the Saudis own £1.5 billion in London real estate alone? Do you know that the Qataris own 20% of Sainsbury’s, Heathrow, and the London Stack Exchange?
And do you know that the Qataris own the largest real estate holding company in the UK? And that when they sell a property they are tax exempt?
And do you know that 5% of London real estate is held by Chinese investors? And they too are tax exempt?
So why punish farmers while letting all the foreigners pillage the country most of which they leave empty and abandoned?

Give me Clarkson over the WEF controlled MSM, the WEF and Fabian/Le Cercle controlled Labour Party (with its human rights lawyer leader who creates terrorists by letting them in whilst the BBC fail to report on such), the WEF controlled Tories et al. I'm not Clarkson's biggest fan, but he's far from the bad guy. Stasi Starmer's mates have evaded tax to the tune of £122 bn! Plus he's spaffed more money on illegal wars, sucked up to his pay masters the CCP (whilst pretending to care about Hong Kongese)!

Jeremy struggles to construct any meaningful argument for farmers here. He reels-off made-up statistics and incites a small crowd of supporters to moan by way of proving he's right. He only started caring about farmers when he became one himself - which he did in order to revive his on-screen career. Further - according to his own admission - he only bought a farm in the first place to side-step inheritance taxes. So the government tightened up a loop-hole. Is that not what they assured us they would do? Is that not the mandate on which they were elected? And there will be more of this type of thing to come from Keir's splendid, morally astute new government.
