@Bra8176 their assets are worth over 1mil easily, how much do you think the land and farming machinery costs? Many farms if any reasonable size will cross the threshhold, you think farmers should juat hand over 20% of the land they have laboured on for generations?
When my uncle had a heart attack 15 years ago, as his plane landed in America, he spent 10 day's in hospital(no operation), just recovering. The bill sent to his insurance company was $110,000 Jeremy.
Yes, because it was sent to his insurance company. If you don't have insurance, you can negotiate a MUCH lower bill, and pay in negotiated installments you can afford, and that's all notwithstanding that _every single_ hospital in the US has internal grant-making services that waive huge portions (sometimes the whole) of your bill.
We need to tax the multimillionaires more to help the NHS. I know Clarkson doesn't care, he spent £5 million to buy a farm to avoid tax, he said it himself.
He was a very well-known and prolific writer for a privately-owned driving magazine that happened to also be one of the largest driving magazines in the world before he joined the Top Gear TV show. And that completely ignores that, had the BBC not existed, the show almost certainly would have been picked up in the private sector. Jeez you guys are out of touch.
This is the man who made millions from the licence payers he openly admitted he bought a farm to avoid paying taxes a slap in the face for the people who payed his wages for a decade
Jeremy struggles to construct any meaningful argument for farmers here. He reels-off made-up statistics and incites a small crowd of supporters to moan by way of proving he's right. He only started caring about farmers when he became one himself - which he did in order to revive his on-screen career. Further - according to his own admission - he only bought a farm in the first place to side-step inheritance taxes. So the government tightened up a loop-hole. Is that not what they assured us they would do? Is that not the mandate on which they were elected? And there will be more of this type of thing to come from Keir's splendid, morally astute new government.
Jeremy Clarkson. Pretend farmer has been caught with his pants down. Bought a farm to avoid inheritence tax and is now going to have to pay his way like everyone else. Mr Clarkson has just had free life saving surgery on the NHS but is not remotely interested in contributing to the cost of running it.

@GreenSaxon he isn't tax dodging
@@supersaabclaire I mean that's a direct quote of his above your comment where he himself says he is.
Al right comrade
Fact : Clarkson only bought the farm to avoid taxes !
My heart bleeds for you
Maybe get rid of that monstrous Lamborgin tractor that should cover it 😂
It’s Jeremy Clarkson that looks bad in this not Victoria Derbyshire. Jeremy Clarkson is an over privileged multi millionaire and should pay a lot of tax The country is falling apart and wealthy people continue to protect their interests and not pay their share. Also, farmers should have to pay taxes like everyone else For most of us having an asset worth a million is beyond our dreams
3 pieces of farm machinery can cost 1 million pounds, assets such as house, land stock equipment are worthless unless you sell them, I think if a farmers main income comes from farming they should be exempt, clearly Clarkson’s mega rich not though farming he should pay up or set up a trust fund
@@jax3722
The machines in my industrial workshop are worthless unless I sell them.
Why is farm machinery any different?
They both exist to do a job.
@@lenroddis5933about 5 pieces of industrial machinery could vost the same as one piece of farm equipment such as a cultivator
Mainly self made wealth in Clarksons case. A lot of smaller farms provide a paltry existence.

Jeremy Clarkson inheritance tax avoidance is Classic Hoarding for Generational Wealth. 😂 LMAO
Yeah, yeah he shot her down after she pointed out he himself had said he’d bought a farm to exploit a tax loophole and then grandstanded to the crowd when he didn’t have an answer.
too right, he couldn't belittle her because he would be shown up
CLASSIC BBC
Lets be clear there is tax avoidance and tax evasion, his doing the former, who in the right mind volunteers to pay more tax than they need to clarkson is no different to anyone else why should he.
@erdmuth When did you stop beating your kids? Oh, you can't offer a date? You're not going to answer this question? You're instead going to attack the sincerity and character of the asker?
@mythicnght3839In what sense ?
Victoria Derbyshire made him look like the hypocrite he is.
You support the WEF propoganda unit, the Bilderberg Broadcasting Corporation? They need defunding. In 2007 Tony B.liar created the foot and mouth outbreak with leaks from Pirbright et al. Give me Clarkson over the WEF controlled MSM, the WEF and Fabian/Le Cercle controlled Labour Party (with its human rights lawyer leader who creates terrorists by letting them in whilst the BBC fail to report on such), the WEF controlled Tories et al. I'm not Clarkson's biggest fan, but he's far from the bad guy. Stasi Starmer's mates have evaded tax to the tune of £122 bn! Plus he's spaffed more money on illegal wars, sucked up to his pay masters the CCP (whilst pretending to care about Hong Kongese)!
Yes, that's a far more accurate title for this video! When someone's best comeback is "classic BBC" and "are you listening to this?!" It's an obvious sign that they've lost the debate.
Victoria Derbyshire asked Clarkson some very reasonable questions which he found very difficult to answer, they should cancel Clarkson not the BBC and the Farmers should pay their fair share of Inheritance tax which they have been getting away with for decades.
So you don't support British farming. You rather give it away and have us import food instead
@ Don’t talk nonsense, they are being asked to pay a 20% Inheritance tax instead of the normal 40%, they can pay the tax over a period of 10 years, they will carry on producing food, they simply have to pay their fair share of tax after 14 years of Tory mis rule and the terrible Brexit deal 60% of the Farmers voted for.
Mate come and talk when you know what u are talking about its obvious u know nothing about farming @@colinyates7485
@@colinyates7485How do you pay £40k a year toward an inheritance tax on £21k a year of income?
@ Where on earth do you get your figures from, IF, and they sound very IFFY your figures are correct, you should not be running a farm in the first place, sell up immediately and get a better paid job at McDonalds serving burgers and fries.
So according to Clarkson 96% of farmers are millionaires??
@Bra8176 their assets are worth over 1mil easily, how much do you think the land and farming machinery costs? Many farms if any reasonable size will cross the threshhold, you think farmers should juat hand over 20% of the land they have laboured on for generations?
@teetehi how much in your opinion is a farm worth? Land and equipment etc included?
Shoots down?? He never had an answer to any of her questions. Victoria schooled him,
When my uncle had a heart attack 15 years ago, as his plane landed in America, he spent 10 day's in hospital(no operation), just recovering. The bill sent to his insurance company was $110,000 Jeremy.
And if he asked for it to be itemised it would come down by alot but maybe next time get better not cheep insurance
@@chrisw371All heart aren't you ?
Yes, because it was sent to his insurance company. If you don't have insurance, you can negotiate a MUCH lower bill, and pay in negotiated installments you can afford, and that's all notwithstanding that _every single_ hospital in the US has internal grant-making services that waive huge portions (sometimes the whole) of your bill.
We need to tax the multimillionaires more to help the NHS. I know Clarkson doesn't care, he spent £5 million to buy a farm to avoid tax, he said it himself.
I think your title has it the
Wrong way round, clarkson was taken the cleaners

The first time I've ever felt sorry for Jeremy Clarkson as he bumbled a dithered after being caught out and humiliated by Victoria Derbyshire.
The BBC made Clarkson, he'd be a nobody without it. What a hypocrite
@@captainphoenixwow presumably you have a poster of him on your wall?
@@holland736 Ah, the tried-and-true ad hominem fallacy. Thanks for proving me correct.

Can't get a GP appointment because of all the immigration
Was it immigration that massacred the NHS and imposed austerity upon us?
And Jezza went NHS or Private? Just asking for a friend….
Yep and the push for privatization of the NHS. I didn't forget all the vids during lockdown of empty wards.
More tax money more services and security on our borders, avoid taxes = less services and less security, pretty simple really!
Don't blame immigrants
Jeremy struggles to construct any meaningful argument for farmers here. He reels-off made-up statistics and incites a small crowd of supporters to moan by way of proving he's right. He only started caring about farmers when he became one himself - which he did in order to revive his on-screen career. Further - according to his own admission - he only bought a farm in the first place to side-step inheritance taxes. So the government tightened up a loop-hole. Is that not what they assured us they would do? Is that not the mandate on which they were elected? And there will be more of this type of thing to come from Keir's splendid, morally astute new government.
he's a bully
Jeremy Clarkson. Pretend farmer has been caught with his pants down. Bought a farm to avoid inheritence tax and is now going to have to pay his way like everyone else. Mr Clarkson has just had free life saving surgery on the NHS but is not remotely interested in contributing to the cost of running it.

did you miss the part where he said he could live his life comfortably putting his wealth in a trust and not care about it yet he's there with the farmers. Little low on the grey matter there I see
