- One of the last songs of the night, Newsboys sang the DC song, Jesus Freak because Michael Tait was a singer in that group. There was a twist with an exterminator!

I got radically saved listening to Newsboys and DC Talk…. No, y’all… like seriously RADICALLY saved!! I was an atheist/Satanist… and I got “tricked” by a pretty girl to come to a Christian group. I listened to the preacher talk about Jesus and I totally got saved!! And I attribute y’all to helping me in my music… this comment can’t possibly share how HUGE of a struggle and how long of a battle I went through to fight out of the pits of Hell to the arms of Jesus! It was about 3 years of blood, sweat, and LOTS of tears. But your album kept playing on repeat for me! I’ve now got a Masters degree in Apologetics and I’ve helped (through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT) lead hundreds of people to the Lord. And I count your influence as KEY in all of those salvations…. So what I’m saying here is. THANK YOU! Thank you for listening to the call of the Lord.

I was there for that show in Bartlesville, OK. It was great! Danced most of the night away; but when Brad broke into the rap, it sent a chill down my spine. He did an awesome job!
Back when I saw newsboys live it was many years before Toby Mac joined. During the love, liberty disco tour. Frickin great! Saw N again a few years later and met them during the adoration tour
So great. I miss Dc talk and Newsboys as they were but I do still enjoy them now
@Jennifer Tippin Mid or late February if I remember right; just before COVID hit. I’d have to check the date on the tour shirt to be sure. 😄
Sadly I wasn't able to go. Couldn't get anyone to take me there. Which was heartbreaking

Love these guys and was fortunate enough to see them perform on Feb. 29, 2020. They didn't have an exterminator on stage that night so we didn't get to hear the NP joke. Unexpected and hilarious... I needed that belly laugh!

That was stinkin' awesome. Goes in my list of favorite videos. Classic Newsboys are #1 with me, but I loved dcTalk back in the day, too, so putting them together -- and I mean, BRAD!! Dude was awesome.
Even if it's a little outdated I still rock this song like an earthquake. Being called a Jesus Freak was never an insult to me. It only jazzed me to become than much more righteous!

I LOVE Newsboys! It amazesme that they have been in mainstream media for so long and HAVE WALKED UPRIGHTLY BEFORE THE LORD (as far as I lnow). As an old school fan of the '90s Newsboys and DC Talk who stumbled across this today in a bit of nostalgia, I found that but particularly disturbing. My Bible reads, in Romans 12: "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse." That seems to be the opposite of extermination.
But that was the first verse that sprang to my mind, I know there are others that point out that our leadership is ordained by God and we are to pray and intercede for our leaders, and that our love (James) and our light (Matthew... Pretty sure the Newsboys had a song about thst one...) will set us apart as a beacon to nonbelievers... Again, don't see extermination in there.
The God I worship is one who provided redemption and forgiveness through grace, love, and the ultimate sacrifice.
