I drove home from the speed awareness course at 10mph over the limit to make sure it hadn't had any effect.

_playing_ with lego is what you do after you _build_ it though
I would not mind seeing you build something while listening to the podcast, its not strictly speaking related to the podcast content, so audio listeners wouldn't miss out, it could be a timelapse as well

my story about speeding and license points:
i had acquired some points due to being unlucky.. yes, not just at fault, but unlucky as well.
both times it was a "random" check and both times i was one of the few cars of the giant line of cars that got got photographed.
..yes, those were a thing back then here in central europe. randomly triggering magic boxes...
After that i drove safely for a pretty long time (couple of years) and i was something like less than 3 month away from all points expiring.
it was like sunday 10pm. not a single car in sight. i skimmed / cut a very strangely made crossing slightly too much for the cop and they pulled me over.
but bc it was technically not illegal what i did, they fined me for "unsafe driving".
back then i was in my early twenties and fighting this wasnt on my mind. today that cop would have gotten an internal review at the minimum.
    why? here the spicy part:
am i now just being petty? funny enough - no. the cop was.
he was an old white guy with a fresh academy chick and i was driving a tuned looking car.
he literally pulled his belt up as he walked up to my car. it was a real life comedic skit, as in: "let me show you how its done".
The whole time he tried to get me to admit something, always pushing the conversation to "oh, are you sure this isnt tuned" or "you didnt register something" or "are you sure you werent speeding" etc.
moral of the story: have law insurance and fight unfair behavior with all your might. otherwise stay safe and follow the rules! ;)

For the turn lego into work - you can have time lapse videos of you building X model and the interviewing the designer of the model/the architect of the structure/artists or original model maker like the person who made the millennium falcon model for the movies. I think it plays to your strengths and shines a light on people that may not be widely know yet, or can create a discussion about how they feel about how their piece was turned into a lego set and maybe the differences. Try reaching out to lego and seeing if they would be open to providing you access to their artists for at least a few sets.

Honestly, I would watch you build legos by the book for hours, and I’ll bet you tons of others would also.

You'll get an interesting look at speeding by checking out Chuck Marohn talk about transportation in cities... he's likely polarizing until you get a little deeper into it. He'll tell you that on a motorway where everyone is going the same speed, speeding isn't usually much of a problem (obvious exceptions excluded). The problem is the differential of speeds between the drivers in System 1 who are just cruising along at what they assume is a safe speed with everyone else, until they encounter the driver who's actively driving - in System 2 - who's watching his speed limit thinking he's about to lose his license. Part of his philosophy is that road should tell you what speed to go. There are idiots of course, but generally people go faster because the road makes them feel safe, when it's design could be redesigned to lead them to switch into a concentrated mode and slow down.
