I don't use manual mode yet, but I'll try. I use aperture priority, limit my Auto ISO to 3200 max, and keep an eye on the shutter speed. I use a Canon T5i/700D and I'm trying not to upgrade because I have to spend more time making photos, using creativity. But the principles you teach apply very nicely.
I love your realistic teaching approach, “we all make mistakes”. I tend to be too hard on myself and expect my photos to be perfect every time so it’s great hearing that from a professional photographer. A very helpful video. Thank you!! 🙏🏻😊
I had no idea what some of those settings were for as I'm a rookie. Most channels dont take the time to explain what may be simple to them but oblivious to others. Thank You. This was extremely helpful.
Zdenka, I recently purchased a Canon M50 and love it. I am new to creating videos and have been watching many youtube video tutorials. I appreciate your teaching style and your emphasis on capturing the story and the settings will come. You're a good teacher. Thank you.
Thank you very much. Yes my goal is to explain it so people actually understand it. It doesn’t make sense to say the settings if people have no idea how to use them
I have fallen in love with you ... The simplest way you share knowledge is awesome ... I learned a lot from this video for the low light shooting, will keep in mind those tips! Thank you once again!
Just when I think I'm a Canon M50 expert, you come along and show me some new tricks on a camera I thought I knew everything there was to know about it. Great video. I've watched it a few times, learning a little more each time. Many thanks.
You are very welcome...😊 I admit that I am no expert... I do lots of research to prepare each video so all info is very detailed... have fun with your camera!!! 🤗🌞🏖
Hello mam. I have owned EOS M50 and watched a lot of your dedicated related videos. You are really explaining the things with full of efforts and emotions. Thanks a lot. I kept following you for my learning purposes. Regards!
Thank you so much. I just bought a canon eos m6 with a kit lense 15-45 and a pancake macro 22mm. I love my camera. I'm still tying to understand the triangle that you mentioned. Your explanation has been the best that I've understood. I always have problems in low light that I switch it to automatic. But I really want to practice and use manual setting.
Thank you very much for your comment. Yes it takes practice to figure it out but once you get it, you will not try automatic again... it will increase photo quality huge... :):) Wishing you all the best.
Another great video. I've learned more from you than anyone else on RUclips. Just bought the M50 about a month ago and you have been so helpful!! Thank You!!
I really enjoy your videos . I just upgraded from my Olympus E 510 to a Canon M50. I get it Friday and look forward to learning from you how to use it.
Beutiful...The way in which you have explain is awesome. I recently bought a M50 Mk2. Your channel is apt for me, because you use the same camera in your tutorials and in simple but very powerful way you make things understand. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this video! I was able to better understand difficult concepts when it comes to photography but you explained them so well! Also, you gave me hope that even when my settings are not perfect, the story is what matters most!

I just got mine, initially contemplating getting between sony a6400 vs canon m50; I ended up with the Canon m50. I just feel that this can match me being a beginner. I really like your video since you broke it down and it was clear to a beginner like me. (And lucky me, i got the basic kit too. same lens that you just mentioned.)
I am learning so much from your video's! You give me confidence to use my m50. I am taking a photo class at a local art center and the teacher doesn't know mirrorless cameras. I am learning more from you at this point. Thanks, your the best.

Hello, Just brought m50 last week had a dslr 1300d for a year ,think it was a good move .i do have problems focusing useing the view finder .having watched a few of your videos, and learnt a lot . Great thank you
Your video is very helpful.... thank you so much..... I have the same camera ....I don’t know why my indoor videos are very dull...I tried many settings
Nice Video! I just purchased the M50 and I am so frustrated because whenever I video indoors (low light situations) I see the "noise" around the background. I've played with the ISO up and down and nothing helps. Setting the ISO low makes it very dark and I can't see anything. Are there any other tips, or should I return the M50 and get another camera?
Thank you for this i will be taking pictures of a friend for his gig I hope these settings will help & I only have the kit lense that came with the camera I’m very nervous but I know I will do good
Hi! Does the regular canon adapter can fix the dual auto focus issue of M50 when shooting in 4k? do Ineed to buy the viltrox adapter? Is it advisable not to set Auto my ISO when shooting indoor video? because the result of my shoot is very grainy. thanks for your help.
Dual autofocus in 4K is missing and nothing will help to gain it. It is the best to always adjust ISO manuly... if it is too grainy then you need more light or adjust the settings.... best of luck 🌞📸🎥

Good video. Thanks for the advice. I used to have a weak Canon 1100D camera. There were difficulties with the light, even shooting in RAW. Then I got sick of it and I bought a Sony A58 and a camera flash. The flash is the simplest, manual. But I quickly learned to make settings. Now I have absolutely no problems with low light.

I purchased an M50 a few months ago and definitely need specific info about this camera and its settings for both stills and video shooting. The M50 is my first digital and mirror less camera and I'm having fun with it. I'm looking forward to your future videos. 🙂
Thank you for the good video and tips. I have a question which is, what is your background in black, is it a large black card, curtain, wall or did you make it in post. It looks very good all in black. Thank you.
Hi There... it is a black paper background... big paper roll which I use in my studio for photography. Any very dark background would work... I only place one light from top pointing down at me... not much on the background... I hope this helps... have a great day! 🌞👊

Hola. So I am a beginner and I love to shoot landscapes, close shots of flowers and changing of the fall colors. I am very interested to learn how to shoot at night of traffic, neon lights and fire works. I have an EOS Canon M50 with a kit lens and a 50 mm.
So cute, I just become your fan. I am following you on twitter want to learn lots of techniques of Video and Photography. Thank you so much for sharing these valuable tips.
Zdenka I am just getting into to the image quality was photography. I have used pint and shoot cameras including the P900. I loved the zoom of the P900 but the image quality left a lot to be desired. I appreciate all of the information you have supplied me on the M50 I just purchased. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to learning more from you. Thanks again. DJ
Zdenka Darula oh wow. Thanks! I am such a rookie and the way you explain is perfect! Most reviewers are men and somehow I frame questions in my mind differently and when I found you and listened to how you explained things and list down the steps, the steps! On what to do I was ecstatic. You explained things the way I think. Thank you. Plus you also take the time to actually say what settings you use for certain video clips or stills you are taking about in your video. Thank you.

Hola. So I am a beginner and I love to shoot landscapes, close shots of flowers and changing of the fall colors. I am very interested to learn how to shoot at night of traffic, neon lights and fire works. I have an EOS Canon M50 with a kit lens and a 50 mm.
Thank you very much for sharing and thank you for your comment

Zdenka I am just getting into to the image quality was photography. I have used pint and shoot cameras including the P900. I loved the zoom of the P900 but the image quality left a lot to be desired. I appreciate all of the information you have supplied me on the M50 I just purchased. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to learning more from you. Thanks again. DJ

How about for video low light settings? Thanks
We are in luck such video is coming out on Monday. 😊🎥📸🎬
Thank you.
Very helpful video 👍
