Honestly forsaken has a solid map layout. It’s pretty easy to get where you want to go since there’s multiple ways to get to one location. Mauers underground area is the only bad part about the layout imo

In my opinion, Mauer der toten is not only at the top of Cold War but a top 3 zombies map of all time, It was simplistic, used verticality in a engaging way and had an excellent atmosphere in a game full of military bases
and the coolest wonder weapon in a long time
Forsaken number 1, that's a new one, I respect that👉

Something about Mauer just gave me heavy Bo1/WAW vibes it's my favorite but your ranking is fair I can see it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I agree!! I haven’t played firebase z yet. But mauer is so epic! I love the music they’ve put in it! They map layout is also beautiful and confusingly brilliant. At first it was a huge challenge and really complex which was a bit of a turn off. Now it’s still challenging and complex but fun and super enjoyable! Easily my favourite map and I completely agree that it has a black ops one kino/nacht feel to it. Seems the maps with Der Toten in the name are always GOLD
My list would have to be
4. Die Maschine. Bad wonder weapon, very hard to exfil, costs a ton of points to get the power on, and everywhere just feels so small, even the training areas feel tiny
3. Forsaken. Map has a cool vibe, but running the same objectives over and over again can get very tiring
2. Mauer der Toten. Awesome map layout and very fun to play with friends, I praise this map for adding Mule Kick to CW zombies as well, my only complaints would be that the objectives take too long and that most areas are too dark to the point that your flashlight barely does shit
1. Firebase Z. This is the ideal map for grouping up with your friends and just having a fun time, simple objectives, good perks, great wonder weapon, easy to pap, nothing can ever go wrong here

Main reason I play is for how fun the RAI-K is
The highround player in me loves forsaken. The story player in me loads up BO3
I feel like Mauer Der Toten has the most replayability

I would literally just flip Firebase Z and Mauer and the rest of the rankings I agree with. I really enjoy Firebase Z, even though I still have my complaints about it. It just reminds me a lot of how the BO1 maps were for some reason. Die Maschine and Forsaken are the most fun I had with the mode for sure though, I played Forsaken more than any of my friends did.
I love Forsaken, out of all the modes thats the one I play the most
My list:
1-Forsaken(Most fun Wonder Weapon in cod history for me and the layout while bad can get better after you get used to it, plus the arcade easter eggs are fun. Also the easiest solo Easter egg which is nice for casual players)
2-Mauer(Fun map, an easter egg that can be done with casual friends easily and the boss fight is surprisingly fun)
3-Firebase Z(Fun map, the problems are the orca round and the easter egg is boring in some parts)
4 De machine(It’s a good map but the problem is the Wonder Weapon which is rather boring to use, the Easter egg ending is very annoying and anti climatic. It’s a good map but i feel like the other maps took what worked here and improved those)
Forsaken being #1 is all I needed to see 😂

Die machine #2 Yes. However, in my opinion, I would give the number #1 spot to Outbreak. I love the open world of it. Not time limits and just so much fun. Must be why I love MWZ so much. LOL

I have played cold war zombies a total of 4 times one on each map that i got to round 20 on each and i have to say this as my ranking for it (going my the amount of fun i had and by the layout, not by nostalgia or anything else)

Cold War zombies ain’t even real zombies but it’s way better than any garbage released after it, underrated zombies if you ask me
Forsaken has the most poorly stitched together map flow ever in zombies
Every area is just connected with fast travels, chrysalax is so unengaging to use cuz it literally does max damage, heals you and heals armor, no risk all reward poopoo design

Mauer last because the atmosphere and same with Forsaken being low is that I hate the zipline feature because it depletes the feeling of awe in seeing an area when you just zipline. Don't know how to explain it but I dislike verticality because of its feel and practicality. Die Machine and Firebase Z share the same good traits of simple and better in regards to better training spots (or camping spots), enjoyment of atmosphere, movement feels connected when running around.
Forsaken is a goat map.

I despise forsaken. In fact i dont much like cold war looking back on it. I enjoyed it when it was new, probably only because it was new. I just want them to make a proper zombies again rather than taking ideas that dont work and rolling with it (like vanguard, that took cold war and removed the core of zombies and pretty much only retained the worst of cold war).
Honestly, Die did go hard, but that fog ruined it for me to. And when the start throwin 2 of them dudes at you, its like bro. Give a man a break. Forsaken was solid, I got this axe, trippled packed it, dude. It was over. Everything died.

@@Squirpio imo it's an extremely lazy map and the layout is awful (better than a good chunk of maps in bo4 tho) the only redeeming things about the map to me is every boss zombie being in the map and the wonder weapon it's definitely not a map I hate I like it I just think all the other maps in the game are better
