This hologram is really big! And you can make one too.

  • This hologram was too impressive to keep to ourselves! We were testing our new 6"x8" hologram film and the just-launched 6"x8" Hologram Upgrade Kit before we ship out to the first customers. Even though is was just a test, it is really impressive! And this was just using our Hologram Kit and the new size upgrade, so anyone could be making this.
The hologram took about 15 minutes to expose. We put the dice right on the holographic plate holder from the kit, and then put the film plate right on top of the dice. This gives you really good stability between the object and the film plate, and makes for a nice bright hologram.

I made a holo like that, back in the 90s. Very cool! Wish I could've afforded the upgrade kit. Thanks for sharing this.

You need to break it or cut it up and show how each piece shows the whole image.

You should try making an H2 reflection with that hologram. :)

Would love to buy one of your color hologram kits. I can’t believe y’all quit making them.

Just a headsup, they are selling them on their website again for a limited time. I just placed my order after having missed out the first time as well.

If you missed out again, Barnes and Noble still has some on their website. Also, Litiholo still sells the film. It's not to hard to create your own set up. Just need a stand, laser, and shutter (basically anything that stops light).

@@MrSirFluffy Thank you for the advice! I actually have an optics table and a bunch of equipment set up in my electronics lab. It’s just a hobby of mine, and since a lot of my business is component level circuit board repair for industrial clients… I run into big lots of optical equipment a lot and get to buy it for pennies on the dollar.
I guess most of my free time and money is spent messing with lasers and optics… But creating holograms on an optics table is still pretty complicated. And although I’m sure I could do it, their kit just seems so easy and straightforward. And I really want one of their full color kits!

Is that line across the middle just because it's a test version?

Yes, good catch. Accidentally got scored across the middle. Hologram was still really nice, despite the line!

Curious, as to why there's a line going along the middle of that plate?

    • @LitiHolo
      @LitiHolo  2 года назад +1

It was a test film plate that had an incorrect scoring down the plate, so we used it for a quick test. The test came out so good we couldn't resist posting about it, even with the mark on the plate. Our 4"x5" and other plates do not have any marks like this in production. Thanks.

@@LitiHolo I do not understand. Why does it need a special film? Is it not possible to do it with a color or monochrome film that can be used in any camera? Is the point that the surface of the film should be flat?
Couldn't this be done with a Polaroid color film?
It should also be clarified what makes a hologram visible in sunlight? Does it just depend on the layout? If I place the film between the laser and the object, it will be visible even in sunlight, but if it is next to it, in a triangular arrangement, will it only be visible under the influence of laser light?
Can't you get such c-rt 20 films in the European Union?
If you make a color hologram, shouldn't all three laser beams be perfectly on the same axis? ありがとうございます
