I like this new villain. He's sophisticated, calmed and very intelligent. He had the upper hand the entire time without even moving a finger from where he was standing and didn't feel threatened by Chihiro with his sword
I agree. It’s also interesting to see how he’ll be dealt with. At this point, he cannot be killed by Chihiro. He’s aware that Chihiro ultimately will prioritize innocent people. Sojo was phenomenal, so I’m glad Takeru didn’t just try to make Sojo 2 and rather went a totally different route with this antagonist.
The implication that the mole is someone close to us makes sense. Shonen series really like doing traitors but the problem that a lot of them have is the traitor is a character we barely know or care about. They do try to make us care afterwards, but I don't think that's the best approach.
I kinda think that Hakori's brother cares about him, unlike the other Sazanami clan members who are only loyal to the clan, he might be more caring for his family. Maybe he is the Talented Big brother who always look after his younger brother despite their father only cares for those who are of use or loyal to the can. This might end up in a lot of more complicated ways, I'll let them cook That Tou girl is cute tho.

A villain that doesn't resort to violence right off the bat is such a nice change from Sojo and Hiyuki. I hope Hakuri is safe.
